There's 2 issues. Server hoppers are upsetting the "economy" of the game and are looking to grab as much gear as possible which means less to go around - the loot table has finite objects in it. If a group of people hop ewvery server and grab all the M4's say - you'll never find one again. That's exaggerated of course but is good as an example. Ghosting - you're fighting this guy, the battle is going in your favour because you've made better tactical decisions. Suddenly you get shot in the back by the player! How so?? He went and logged into another server, moved to a postion behind you, logged back into your server and killed you.

yeah i've had this too though I'm not bothered about it. -
Just make it so there's an incremental time between hops and a half hour wait to return to the server/s you were on. So first change is no wait. 2nd server 5 minutes 3rd server 10 minutes, etc Want to return to a server you were on you need to wait 30 minutes (to stop ghosting)

Having been a forum user for years, I really don't care if someone posts the same topic twice and in my experience, search engines can be a royal PITA. Getting back on topic, we need these..... Poncho Tents! I used these in the army, otherwise known as a basher. You can wear them as a poncho and being around 6x4 feet big, they make an excellent 2 man tent. The top picture is more like the one I used, you can see the hole where your head goes through though it looks a little bit high but it gets the idea across. I hope they come up with more than one tent design. We need a variety of sizes and options :)

Yeah the ADS on the sawed-off is a little weird. I feel like I'm looking over it, not aiming down it.

Trophy collections? errrr no this isn't a hunting game. The AI is being worked on but it's never going to be The Hunter.

You people need to think about what you're posting. Nobody is saying spawn on top of peoples heads or next to high gear. When we're talking random spawns we're also assuming the devs aren't just going to say "hey guys have you seen this post let's make spawns random now!" They'll obviously put in things to safeguard areas and people. For instance - No spawning near a player within 500m - No spawns near miltary bases - If deaths = 3 within 5 minutes, make player wait 5 minutes before being allowed to respawn again.

Aah so this is why it didn't get lighter for an hour - it looked like early morning then just went this dull grey colour - is that the nights now - so no pitch black nights anymore?

I'm not advocating it, I'm just saying what many players think - they gear up and then they're all "what do we do now...." They can't think of the game in terms of a survival game and fail to realise that "living" is what you have to do, that's the point of the game and you lose when you die.

With so many clothes now I can't wait for persistency to work bug free because I'm opening up a tailors shop in Cherno. I'm going to collect every piece of clothing I have and find a shop to put them in and then wait for people to come by and see if they want anything If anybody wants to join me I'm sure a butcher and green grocer would be needed too and a gun shop. We could also have a camping shop too with tents, gas lamps, cookers, knives, compass, binoculars etc and I think that pretty much covers the lot!

We had big green canvas tents we'd use in the field for comms which looked a little like this but larger For sleeping we'd use a basher.... (These need to be in the game) If a "military tent" (lol) is the one at the top then I don't want those in the game but a blue and white tent is going to stand out for miles in dayz - it's going to be on a plain green background or a plain brown background and everyone has a tent. You'd only need to search a handful of house before you found a colour you liked I bet.

It was this part, I really hate spawning in-land. It feels like being given a head-start over starting out on the coast, then making your way towards the opposite side. Sounded like you thought starting inland gave you an advantage over gear. I was trying to say that gear is only the beginning of the game.

The issue with the tents will become massively apparent the moment you place one and walk 100 yards away from it, turn around and it's sticking out like a sore thumb. The devs know it will do this and there's also very few places to hide tents, less now with the cities being added and wilderness taken away. At least a green or brown tent would blend in better.

Make sure you take your shoes off outside the tent before you get in! ;)

But isn't that because you think end game is getting military loot? Are you thinking about survival when you play the game or hunting other players? Once you start thinking survival you'll realise that gearing up in 20 minutes instead of an hour is miniscule compared to the hundreds of hours you're going to need to stay alive after that :)

There's no such thing a a "military tent". So both of you have never seen a green or brown tent for sale? Funny because I had one, a StormShield 500. My tent after that was another SS in red. The fact you both think there's a "military tent" is funny. Given the fact that I'd qualified my argument by stating how badly tents show up from distance and that you ignored that, I'd say you don't really have an argument. Also asking for a green tent is not demanding anything from the developers - how on earth did your brain come up with that?

I'm all for random spawns and hope it does throw me a curve. There have been times on the new map I've known exactly where I am but felt completely lost because they changed the landscape in an area.
