Firstly, I don't shoot new spawns so doesn't apply to me but a 500m head shot would be a challenge and it's not up to you to dictate your play terms to another player. The scenario is ridiculous anyway and I'll tell you why. If you're not dead from the first shot, then avoiding the sniper is easy at that range so no need to combat log. If you are dead from the first shot, then it's moot. Why do you think it's trolling another player. Do you think if it was a geared player said sniper wouldn't engage? To them, any target is a target they don't care. Jeez, most of them won't even run 500m to the body because they don't need any gear. You're basically the guy in the jungle who expects the tiger to leave you alone because you're a fresh crash survivor from a plane. If there weren't kos'er in the game then there's nothing to keep you on your toes. Dicks do have a reason to exists, sometimes ;)

This is an issue in itself and cause enough false "hacker" cries. Genuine hackers i dunno - how rampant are they? I've been sticking to low pop servers right now because I wasn't finding loot anywhere. Found a server last night which had loot and we got fairly well geared up. Have all gorka stuff now and an akm with a drum which I managed, somehow, to dupe, I think, unless it's a ghost drum. I also duped my magazine too I think which annoys ten bells of hell out of me. Fix the fucking duping already!

I would log against hackers/cheaters. That's the only time to log in fact - piss them off and as for evidence, let's see that it actually works first before wasting time with that because I doubt a screen shot it going to show much and who's going to listen anyway?

Nope that's not what I'm saying. Let's say the shots stop, people stop firing. How long do you wait until you move up on their position? It takes longer than 30 seconds (unless ur came round a corner at each other that's different) unless you charge right in. Most people move up and scan. plenty of time to combat log.

And? He still made the hit in 2 shots at 300 meters. Snipers use spotters too. The point was made that a 300 yard on target shot couldn't be made. This video proves that assumption to be incorrect, not forgetting that a man sized target is 10 times bigger than a balloon.

As long as they fix the melee but right now, i like 1 or 2 hits. We also need to bear in mind that there will be a lot more zombies when it's finished. Whilst one zombie is fairly easy to deal with, 10 won't be.

Traps would be awesome with so many cunning uses to be employed. Start a firefight with a group, make them scatter into the traps ;)

I hear chickens are rather hard to find though - feathers are everywhere though and in a ZA, with nature taking back it's habitat populations would increase again

I've never experienced anything like you've stated in all the time I was playing DayZ, which would be in May after the mod was released, so 3 years ago I think.

OK this is weird then because yesterday in the space of about 20 minutes I had 12 portions of berries lol. Me and my mate though hardly find food anywhere. We're going to Stary next. We were thinking, after being told about persistent servers being bugged, that a change of server would work but we don't seem to be finding as much gear as we did 4/5 days ago and the server pops are low too. The server didn't have persistence in the name but that doesn't mean it's not turned on right? Anyway, I found an axe in Novy so at least we can make a fire now. We even found non rotten apples on trees so it seems we can at least feed ourselves. When looking for berries or apples, it seems to be random on each try. I find a group of them then keep going from one to the next until i've done each bush or tree about 3 times. Seems to yield at least some food.

A game should never force you to use an external source to play the game. It's a huge NO in game design except BIS seem to think it's ok. Compasses are everywhere btw, I can't stop coming across them but that's DAyZ. Everyone has something they never find. Here's what BIS need to do regarding maps and compass. -1 Get rid of this stupid notion of quarter sized maps. Why do you need 8 maps for an area this size - it's ridiculous. I see no reason not to have just one map. If you think about it, 8 maps is beyond stupid. Who at BIS came up with this idea round the meeting room table - sack them, they're probably making more stupid decisions that make the game bad. -2 Update the map when you update the fucking terrain. I have a map in game that's out of date! -3 Hello??? In what country do they make maps but use a completely foreign language to write in those maps! Make the Town names in cryllic or make the sign posts in English. Again, was this the same idiot that decided on 8 maps? -4 Compass - why are all these antique compass all over the place? How about a compass I can read the fucking markings on. The old compass worked fine and make precise navigation impossible. Bows don't suck at all. Try looking back through history and read up on how bad it actually was and didn't kill thousands of people or game until bullets came along.

It's bad enough on .49 right now. My friend and I just hit Polana from Berezino where we spawned. It was only by finding berries were we able to make the 10 minute journey to reach it before we staved to death. In Polana we ate about 4 cans of food each, at least 2 zucchini's (courgettes) each and probably 5 pieces of fruit each and were barely energized. Headed to Novy Sobor and found even less food but we're still just about energized. Have found a crossbox and rifle between us, no ammo for either and the two deer we came across just tease us....we get so close then they run off. Right now, I would say this is the hardest DayZ has ever been as we're living on the brink. We're literally eating all our food with none to spare so if experimental is harder, it sounds as though it's going to be "find food simulator 2014"
