I went into a server with 8 people in it last night.. went to Balota Airfield for a deer stand raid for what I assumed would be a peaceful affair and ended up murdering 3 people within minutes of each other. I mean 4 deer stands and an Airfield so close to each other.. going there now is worse than going to the NW Airfield lol

If a move to a new engine was made.. would it be the same DayZ we all know and love? I think not. You can change the feel of the whole game with something as major as an engine change.

When you get killed 10-15 times, most of the time out of the blue and unprovoked.. murders committed start to feel like the norm, kill or be killed. If you don't know them, shoot them! they usually want your shizzle, even if you a fresh from spawn flashlight carrier :lol:

Don't know who did it, but I just got killed on US20 by a sniper. I had just parked my Kawasaki by a deer stand just north of Stary in the fields looking for mags for my new gun.. boom headshot! No warning just a single bullet. Having 12000 blood and an Alice half full with cooked meat meant nothing, I was dead in an instant. I had some great fun on that bike while it lasted, mostly running around finding Heli crash sites. It was my first vehicle find that was in a shed somewhere near Novy Lug :) Would just like to say nice shot whoever you are.. and enjoy the spoils! Also, on my travels on said bike I found some treasures.. If anyone wants an ATV (needs repairs) go to Black Lake, its situated in the part where the cove is next to a big stone. There is also a boat needing fuel along the coast north of Berezino, stick to the coastline and you cant miss it :)

Sounds more like an epic fail if you needed to server hop to get the better of him.. grow some balls. This is the exact kind of behavior that ruins this game, hopefully one day this type of filthy exploit can be combated effectively. You Vexus sir.. Well You Suck. Make it a standalone game, that is paid for once, like most other games. If needed charge more for it, DO NOT add item market or shit like that, just include that income on the game price. I would gladly pay full price (between £30-£40) for it as a standalone game, if finished, bug free and as awesome as DayZ currently is. Otherwise you could always just keep it as a free mod, or a free to download game... and ask for donations :)

Ever been to NW airfield and found nothing but various ammo types, but no guns, not even a modicum of so called EPIC lootz its supposedly renowned for? ... then to top it off get killed by a sniper for your trouble? if not then you haven't experienced the real DayZ lol welcome to chernarus, the people you see with any sort of weapons have just simply got lucky, no matter where they went to get it.

I have been killed by other players countless times, each time it happens I could kick myself because 99% of the times they have killed me is because I made a stupid mistake like you have done. PVP is part of the mod, like it or not, people dont like to lose there hard earned loot so they shoot first before even asking if someone is friendly.. you yourself will start to take this same approach the more times you get killed for being a good samaritan. Also, NEVER ask if someone is a friendly on the direct text chat.. unless your completely hidden from them and there is no way they can find or see you, if not the time it takes you to write that out usually results in them already shooting you. If you want to survive for as long as possible then go into the woods with a water bottle, a knife, a hatchet and some matches and hunt animals for food and use pools for water, hey presto you are now a self sufficient, survivor and have won the game. BUT.. the more you wait, you will soon bore and go looking for loot and blood, I guarantee it :) I've lost nightvision googles and my first and only ghillie suited character to a noobs macarov, by simply looking for mountain dew in a supermarket at Zelenogorsk.. he was prone in the back just waiting for a target like me to come in.. yeah it sucked, he was NOT a friendly from cherno!

Agreed with your post, but then people camp NW Airfield, Stary Sobor military tents.. People camp Electro and Cherno hotspots and spawn points.. nothing new about camping tbh in DayZ, infact most of my deaths in this game have been down to a camping sniper. I like the idea of having alternative ways to obtain items other than just looting though. I think having a shop or swap shop sort of system could add a new dimension to the mod.

You did publish your location on the forum, you made yourself a sitting duck for bandits lol better to try and get a steam friend to help by using that medium to communicate. Posting your location here is asking for trouble.

Bizon lacks accuracy and power but its silence is a huge factor in choice, especially for zombie slaying. I would have chose the FN FAL to use as primary and squeezed the bizon into my backpack for later use :) I hate having choices, it's like when you have got a M4A3 CCO, then somehow you find a DMR sniper rifle and already have a full backpack, of course you take the sniper but your gonna be losing a hell of a gun in its place. Having ability to carry two primary weapons, without needing to store them in backpack, maybe sacrificing your sidearm... that would be cool.

If someone gets killed (on screen) more than twice in a matter of a few minutes they are likely spawn choosing abusers. I used to have epic loot and lived for around 2 dayz.. then I hit respawn by mistake.

I got a coyote backpack from a deerstand once :) I find alice packs quite often in residential buildings, but only after I have initially found one! it takes ages to find the first lol

Sorry to butt in, but where the heck do you find servers with 75-100 players in them? most I have seen is 60 in my serverlist, with filters set to max players 500 :lol:

I killed someone at Stary military tents earlier today, luckily with a one shot macarov bullet to the head over on US 20. Sorry if that was anyone affiliated with this group, It took me a while to get there in the dark, spotted him alternating through the tents as I was approaching from the south, I was scared that he might shoot me if he saw me, he looked pretty well kitted out. So I went prone behind a bush and took the shot.. he had a fair amount of good stuff on him but only a shoddy backpack which leads me to believe he was just gathering supplies. I hate killing like that, especially before asking the 'friendly' question, but I had been burned bad in a prior lifetime in cherno just looking for a map in the apartments. I was hunted like a deer, until I was surrounded, killed by what I believe to have been a silenced MP5 :( I went back for revenge (2 or three times haha) but they just did the same lol So yeah.. sorry dude whoever you were. This was not like me at all. Therefore, if you miraculously read this I would be more than willing to leave your loot consisting of rifle, ammo and 5 cooked meats in a spot for you to collect. Lemme know.

Joined, I rarely use Steam being a lone player.. I noticed you wrote on a different thread that skype is needed to join in.. thanks but no thanks. For some reason my PC chokes at the installation, not sure why but I'm not about to start messing with stuff just for skype. I shall forever wander this hell alone :(

UK here, been to NW airfield (survived), Stary Sobor military camp (survived), most of the castles (and survived) and even made the 50 minute 32000m run from Debug Forest back to the map to save myself from losing my shit.. but then I have been hit by a single zombie and died a gruesome death, losing best part of 2 days playtime with a handsome collection of survival gear. I been playing a couple weeks, mostly on my own and only kill other survivors when under threat. I'll come help you guys survive in this hellish horror. Be nice to travel the land with others :) Ingame/Steam name same as forum name.

But.. But.. Its fun to read in blue letters, "You fuckin low life loser, why do you kill me I am friendly" and I never even pulled the trigger, infact I'm in the middle of nowhere cooking meat on a campfire haha Side chat added a fun value to the game, games have to have various elements to make them successful, I thought side chat enhanced DayZ in regards of comedy, especially in such treacherous times. It was nice to take a breather from the action from time to time and read and help out with some noobie questions too.

Good read, I have been there myself, had lots off good stuff only to lose it to either.. A - One Zed (yeah you heard right, just one) or B - A person not at all after my good stuff, but probably only needed to feel safe. I would like to start helping new players now, I have tried going alone and with a small group. It's hard now though without global/side chat :(
