meeh maybe, but surely someone could still spawn directly behind you before shooting? unless there were other sleep effects clouding your senses/reactions times -
Yeees, ye should be able to fire from vehicles, should certainly factor in how inaccurate it probably would be but yes you should. And i think ye should be able to mod vehicles to fit weapons on, tbh if its possible i think vehicles should be completely modable... mOOodable (if thats a word :S) obivously with some limitations so someone doesnt script nuclear powered submarine on wheels. But the capacity for making them look unique or reinforcing/arming them. This would blatantly be your end-game for surviving an apocalyptic zed infested loot based economy. lol i remember joining this forum and posting practically the same thread, with the same response XD there is literally no original idea, just mountains of lost ones XD tbh yea i thought it would be a good idea, I thought it would give more reason for peeps to co-operate, as well if there was a function so that other players could learn skills from other players whilst their using those skills in proximity then it would certainly be an insentive to stay together. Of course there are lone wolves out there who expect to be spawned from a love making session between Bear Grills and Ray Mears. also, i was thinking along the lines of, doctor - can perform more complicated med procedures engineer - can perform more complicated repair procedures etc and learning those other skills by in being close proximity to another person using them -

Brilliant thread here on electric grids http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=6791&highlight=Grid Police Stations: Potentially alot of nice gear in there, also maybe zombie police in riot gear which require a head shot a potential drawback. Possible new Items: Riot Gear, Baton, Pepper spray (could be used on zombies (and players) short range to at least blind them temporarily) Small Garage: Id suggest you could still do repairs anywhere, but if the options of custom mod vehicles entered the game, they should be done in garages. Factory: I know they already exist but very little seems to spawn in them that you couldnt already find ten times over in a construction site, maybe if any extra sandbox features involving item creation was introduced then i think there should be more focus towards using facilities in these buildings, whatever they might be :S Houses: Just more XD I know it might sound silly but egg-timer would be a good item, essentially because its a noisy distraction on a timer, and id wager a bet you could more likely find one in a shopping area than a smoke grenade, let alone in a household kitchen. Supermarket/Shopping Gallery/Mall : BIG shops :) Poncho!!! Meh, any thoughts on this? -

yea i like the idea, im sure many would disagree on any kind of foresight into another players actions and i do understand that point of view. Remember coming across a thread in which someone was describing something similar theme but with general PTS effects while playing. THe only problem i see with that is that it gives surrounding survivors/bandits the upper hand, in the same way a survivor logging in registering no spawn proximity would be given the upper hand. BLeh! Maybe both? XD just reduce the distance down to like 10m so someone cant pop in behind you in a small room, but can still be heard :) -
if 12000 units of blood is representing 8 pints, then surely crawling your broken semi conscious arse about on 200 blood is nooot really possible. My suggestion is that there should be some stronger limitations on mobility when blood dips below a certain percentage, where you critically need someone else to help you out. I know blood packs need another person, but blood packs are useful even when your in the thousands. Im suggesting something for VERY low health, so for example introduce an extra option like CPR or a defibrillator for when peeps are literally below 1000, or some other very low Thread on defibs here, but all the threads ive seen are one defibs for the moments after death. http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=26567&highlight=defibrillator I dont think it should be used on dead players, just uber low heatlh ones.

Its annoying though because ye go on some of the other arma maps and theyve got town/cities as big if not bigger that are fully open :( I know itd still be effort to transfer it over though. Im just hoping the arma 3/dayZ map will be as open as some of there other arma maps

YEeeeea fuck having an option that lets you play as a zombie, Ive seen a few threads which talk about having survivors/bandits corpses change to zeds which i love the idea of. but too often those threads have either had the zombie option embedded in or it inevitably rises up in the convo. - 1 Playing as zeds.

Tbh theres all sorts of different zombies skins that need to be created, and it isnt a big problem at this stage of development But i would like the idea of zombies with different abilities, not like l4d specfiic zombies, like an overly obese zombie that still takes one shot to the head but several more in the body, and if you get close to it, its definitely going to knock you down. Im sure i saw a thread on zombie children aswell, but couldnt find it. But yea thats a good idea, harder to spot and very nimble. Also if buildings get developed more in arma 3, the idea of having stationary (incapacitated) zombies that only spawn in houses and hospitals would be cool, (i.e disabled, elderly, ill) Also ive seen zombie survivors mentioned in threads before, having survivors/bandits bodies turn to zombies would be cool aswell as providing a specialist zombie packed full of items.

yea i really like the idea too, read a couple of threads on it and the main problem ive seen peeps having with it, is that its at odds with the (tiny) amount of story info given about this scenario, ie that its an infection not zombies (is there a rolling eyes emoticon?) which is fair enough but i think even if the devs wanted to stick to that strict scenario, survivors/bandits should still have a chance of becoming a zed if they were killed by one And yes, female zombies definately. I was thinking more of zombies with diff abilities in this thread though. Simply because of the zombies physique or equipment/clothing their wearing. LIke police zombies in riot gear for example, most part bullet proof :S

I was thinking along the lines of this thread but with new items E.g. Egg timer, Rape alarm XD I know these seem like silly items but both are very noisy, one has a timer on it and lets be honest, are far more likely to be found in a shop then a variety of different colored smoke grenades. Also fireworks!!! this game needs fireworks! XD

indeed, dont mind some of the time taken to get inside your gear and back pack (it would take some time) but the weapon swaps are a bit too slow, and swapping between items and weapons in the primary/secondary slots is v annoying atm.

lol i can see yea that seems like a cool idea, a few others have posted similiar tings but i really cant see it being developed properly until they open up more buildings. Tis kinda of annoying really cuz ye can go on other arma2 maps and loads of ze buildings are open :(

TO be honest i see the benefit of this for equipping tools quickly. I often switch to axe/hatchet (it really is an axe) to deal with zzs quietly or smash the hospital windows. Tis annoying how i have to drop my primary though every time i want to :( If ye had this sling device then axe could surely overlap the primary whilst your primary was faded in the gear menu (hanging on sling)

and technically you should be dead i survived for an hour, mooostly conscious on 20 blood!!! up until a friend gave me a blood pack, doesnt really make sense that that wound demanded as much attention as someone whos just dipped below 6 or 5 thousand blood. (in terms of what ye have to do to fix it that is)

+1 YEa wouldnt mind seeing a marquee introduced, i was thinking similiar to some of the camouflaged netting ones ye see dotted about already

+1 Beartraps would be cool too, could temporarily tie up a bandit (bandage blood loss/opening trap) while also giving off a loud scream survivors could react to. Could easily pop tyres of vehicles too.
