I just hope they at least animate shotgun pumps... nothing to pump you up for a fight like the double-crunch of the pump. -
I think that the pistols are under-powered. I don't know what the damage will be in the standalone but 899 blood is pathetic for a 9mm. 9mm are used in the military and police forces because they can fire fast have low recoil and decent damage. They are known to kill someone in 5-6 shots sometimes less, 3-4 shots and the person will almost certainly die of his wounds later. .45's have extremely high power and are very loud. They were used in world war II because they could effectively kill a crazed enemy in 1-2 shots (no offense to Germans or Japanese intended) but these damages need to be revamped.

My main point is that I don't want the standalone to have the same crappy pistol damage the mod has. "modifying" the spawns and stuff would not be needed since they are not changing guns they are adding guns. A .45 should kill in 2-3 hits at least and if you don't want the zombies to drop in one raise their health. They are still human after all not fragile piles of flesh and bones.

I like this a lot if the 9mm had a little less damage. Also 9x18 and 9x19 are virtually the same, the 18/19 is the length of the round not the width.

I thought of a way to stop loot farming and using the log out move and log in cheat in combat. Its really simple but I'm not sure if it can be done. Just have each server create a new character. One server the character you use would be completely different from the character another server would give you. You couldn't server hop in battle because you have to be in THE server to change position, not in A server. Farming wouldn't work because of the same thing. Your characters carry two separate loadouts so collecting a can of beans in one server wouldn't give it to you in another. I am sure this has been posted before but I think it would work.

No blinking street lights. This is weeks or months afterwards and the power stations would be long abandoned.

I think choosing how you hold your gun would be cool. With your pistol you could choose to fire with one hand or two hands. one hand = faster draw time less accuracy more recoil, two hands = slower draw time more accuracy. With main weapons such as the M4 you could hold it with one hand should your other arm get shot. This would limit you to hip-firing and make reloading take forever. Bolt action guns would have the bullet in the chamber and then cocking takes a long time since you have to brace it against something to cock it one-handed. EDIT: thats my 5 CENTS! -

To refill shell casings requires extremely specialized tools and a very good knowledge of guns/ammunition. You cannot just pour some gunpowder in a shell and slap a bullet on. gunpowder would be very hard to get but you can find it at some stores like home depot. If you had the proper tools and skill-set then by all means fill up your old casings. -

In a disaster situation (the apocalypse perhaps) all the stores and other places you can buy food would be looted within 3 days (1-2 days if its really bad). I think that stores are actually a BAD place to find food because its so obvious that all the stuff would be gone before the zombies even defeat the military. Also you could find the occasional survivor stash but I think most people would take a desalinization device some fishing poles and go live on the ocean. The supplies would be gone unless the boat came back to shore somehow. And if the people on the boat starved then there would be no food anyways. -
I was thinking about the walking dead and dayz at the same time and had an idea. Why not have two types of zombies? It would be one kind per server, so one server would have ONLY running zombies maybe. And another could have walking zombies. runner zombies would be the same as they are now (hopefully with a good AI) And walker zombies would be MUCH slower but in much greater numbers such as 1,500 runners on a server as opposed to 3,000 walkers (same map area same zombie generation one type is just more common.) walkers would be harder to sneak past have better hearing and when you fire even moderately loud guns zombies from other towns could start moving in your direction. They would also deal much more damage and have a higher chance to infect on a hit the would also need a head-shot to kill. That way zombies would still be dangerous because you could get surrounded and then your screwed. This would work because there would be servers for people who like runners and servers for those who like walker-type zombies.

.50 cal have been known to completely dissolve the upper torso of the target. 9999999999 blood should be correct. -
hmm... maybe if they just made a completely separate game they could do it. Now that I think about it it seems kinda stupid.

You would have two saves for each zombie type so you couldn't use it for farming. And I said a different market of players, possibly meaning players who like easier games but still want the realistic survival aspect.
