I personally am not fond of the way the bark dust sticks in ur teeth and hair after an enemy has sprayed his AK clip at you whilst you hide behind that tree.... but I suck at hiding behind trees too, and inevitably end up dying too..... :(

Additionally, you are under the false assumption that anyone here finds your attempts at being a colossal prick even remotely entertaining. My very first day of playing DayZ, we met up with some pretty nice people, and were running in a group onto Skalicity island, to the industrial building and Heli crash site. However, I had TWO major noob moments that day. First moment, while negotiating the contained stair well on the side of the industrial building, I managed to have a "strafe" fail, and fell out the opening in the wall, to my death. *groan* Later that same evening, with the same group of very nice people (who still roll in our clan, btw, so I think I may have been forgiven) I managed to accidentally throw a grenade instead of a flare, and killed myself, and a commrade. He still winds me up about it..... Needless to say, I am still pretty careful on stairs, and I pick up grenades..... for other people to use lol!!!!

So sorry, but who died and made you judge and jury?? "how will you play this game? good or bad, the kind of guy who bandages new spawns or shoots them?" I do believe bfisher has the right to play the game any which way he flippen likes, as do you, as do I! Great story bfisher, brilliantly written.... will definitely read more of your DayZ exploits, so please share some more when you have the time.

Agreed. The perspective I have given here, is my take on the discussion, but a noob one, undoubtedly.

Another crux in the debate.... "We want to play on a server that is tailored to how we want to play the game". If everybody was 100% happy with the vanilla mod, we wouldn't have all the off-spring / mutated mods to sit here and argue about. The people behind modding of mods, have tailored them to suit the way they want to play the game, or rather, to how their local gamers want to play the game. I agree with Fraggle, modding was not intended to be a cash cow. It was intended to be tweaking of the game to the way you or your gaming community wanted to play it, and then hosting that version, free-to-play. Sadly, as where humans are involved, there will always be that someone somewhere, trying to make a quick buck, off something that isnt technically 100% THEIRS to make a buck off. I guess like with music and movie piracy, you either pay the money, and enjoy "the spoils of war", or your moral compass kicks in, you dig in your heels, and stick to your free-to-play mod that you normally play, whilst waiting for the SA. As with everything in life.... the choice is yours.

Hang on.... for $25, not only do I get a reserved slot on ANY server (so no more sitting around refreshing to find a server to join for an hour, at least) but I also get to spawn in with all of that stuff (dependant on which one I choose)... AND replacement skins. hmmmm I would SOOOOO buy that!!!! Thanks for the heads up Jackal! (gets credit card out.....)

Surley tho, knives should have different damage levels guys? I mean brass knuckle duster -0.22 calibre knifey knife there cannot possibly to the same amoutn of damage to human flesh as say, of I dont know, a Meat cleaver?? EVEN if you stick it in before you shoot! (Yes, I also saw what you did there ;) )

I personally have great affection for the buggy / glitchyness of DayZ. Why, just the other day, I glitched through a FLOOR, and died. Yes, people, a floor. at the Stadium in Berezino. Sadly, I was the second last person alive, and I was running in to find a blood bag, to save he who turned out to be the last person alive. Behind the wheel of a car, I have road Rage like no other. But when it comes to DayZ, you have to be... more accepting. Like with children. You LOVE your children, but when they glitch out, you may get mad, but you love them anyways. It all adds to the character, imo.

Isn't the "Upgrade for reserved slot" message you see on Day Zero just that?? I know Day Zero is brand spanking new, and the whole world and his uncle wants to play it, but I spent a GOOD portion of frustrated game time on trying to find a slot on an open server. And I'm sorry, what is the point of playing Day Zero on the Chernarus map, on a foreign server? I would then rather just stick to my good old south african hosted Overwatch server rather, where I know where all the good shit spawns already, and I'm comfortable there. Perhaps once we get our own Day Zero server hosted here, these may no longer be issues, but for now..... we sit and stare at the "Waiting for character to create" screen.... whilst uttering prayers under our breath to the Gaming Gods!

Yep, very nearly pooped myself. Imagine you get one of those spider-like things stuck on your face, and become infected. Would you be able to take anti's for that? Or would you have to track down a surviving surgeon in post-apocolypse Chernarus to remove the implanted alien? and if you dont find him in time, the little bugger bursts out your chest, and devours your clan mates?? The possibilites here really are endless!!! @ Fraggle, love the grey alien pic.... your point has been well-made here I think. Down with Zombies.... surely someone can come up with an alterior anttagonist that will work / be widely accepted. Perhaps a mod in the jungles of Borneo, where you have to watch out for Cannibalistic pygmy tribesmen? In the deserts of Egypt, where if you open a door looking for loot, hoardes of flesh eating Scarab beetles that inhales you and your mates in the blink of an eye?? I for one, hope someone with the same boredom for Zombies is reading this, and passing the ideas along to those with the knowledge and skills to bring it into creation. Till then, however, I will be rushing home to play DayZero, DayZ Overwatch and the like.... till DayA arrives XD
