Doesn't the long range scope use picatinny rails? The mosin doesn't have those on it, that's why I figure it will be moved.

.308 is the ammo the mosin uses. Also I figure they will make the long range scope purely for the winchester model 70 and take it off the mosin. Then give the PU scope its proper zoom.

Me and a buddy were staking out electro yesterday, me with an SKS and him with a pump action and long horn. We logged onto a server and I spotted a few people in the town so my friend went in. My friend shoots a guy on the lower part of sniper hill with the long horn and I mention I see somebody inside the police station so my friend heads to the school and waits for the element of surprise. Little does he know that somebody is on the hospital that spotted him. So the people in the police station make a mad dash to the school and my friend waits. (BTW we are on a first person server). My friend lines up the stairs with his pump action and sits there for about 7 minutes and myself move up to probably 50 meters behind the super market. My friend gets shot in the head and dies. I decide to just YOLO that shit and run into the school opposite side of the hospital. (Just so you know, I had no idea somebody was on the hospital at this point). I run in and look at my friends body with two people looting like dumbasses. I shoot one in the head with my sks and the other starts returning fire with a mosin. I eventually kill him without receiving a hit and nearly get shot at the guy on the hospital. I look through the windows to see where he is then lean out from the stairwell and score 2 body shots on the guy on the hospital. He passes out and falls off the roof, killing him. My friend got all his shit back in perfect condition except for his helmet. The two people I killed both had good shit (Except the mosin guy since errythang was broken). Never got around to looting the guy at the hospital since the body disappeared. (Coincidentally I saw the guy trying to find his body that had fallen off the roof. He had to climb down the ladder to get it on the smaller roof. Shot him in the chest twice when he was climbing). That's my story of how I survived 3 players and saved my friends gear.

I'm kinda digging the pump action with a longhorn and makarov. Although, The SKS in general is really really nice to have with a double barrel sawed off

So anyone hear of anything in regards to the pu scopes and acog scopes and what not? Right now they aren't at their proper zoom level in game. They are suppose to be 4x scopes but are more like 2x maybe less. Anyone know when they will be fixing it if at all? I figured it was place holder and since the winchester 70 is coming in I figure they would correct the scopes.

I still think it's kinda lame that they decreased the sights and what not. It's basically just a holo sight with them at their current state. Oh well, just have to wait.

If I remember correctly, every wendsday they disappear so you have to pick them up on tuesday and deploy them on thursday.

Mags probably aren't the right caliber. So you are trying to put a different sized bullet than what the gun can take. or the mags are broken.

So I was reading here and some people were asking for journals and what not which is neat I suppose. it got me thinking though it would be neat to write on just about anything. I know the whole thing with people writing profanity and what not is an issue. But you could do so much with writing. Such as http://accurateshooter.net/GOTW/ anders07scope.jpg Or you could write on a map to make a plan of assaulting a military base with your friends. Such as lines and what not. All you need are markers or pens. Journals to help you remember Important locations such as a base location or something. You could also write in books over top of words that are printed in there. You killed a zombie/man? Mark a tally on your gun or maybe a can of beans. Storing human flesh in a container? Write on the box "Not people". I think it would be really neat to add that crap in. I know it would be hard since paper is something different and you would actually have to alter the model, but it would be neat to have in by beta.

It should be for basically every type of cartridge that you should be able to get different types of ammo. Example being hollow point, Armor piercing, FMJ, different amounts of grains, sub sonic and what have you. In the mod you weren't able to use regular 5.56 with a suppressed M4 for some reason. I don't think it will be like that in the stand alone, but it would be really neat if they had their actual real life affects. So if you have an unsuppressed m4 and shoot sub sonic, then it travels slower and doesn't have a crack, but naturally your gun would still be loud as shit. Reverse should be the same too, suppressed but still have the sonic crack. HP and AP rounds are obvious what they would do, and different grains would mean more power to the shot or less. Hand loading empty cartridges would be cool too. Like taking apart a round and getting base materials to add grains or mix and match bullets to do different things. Like take apart an AP super sonic bullet and taking out some grains to make it sub sonic or adding grains to get it to go faster. Also, I know it takes specialized machines to take apart rounds and what not. Just an idea though.

Well the way I see it is that more variety is just better. The little things in the game like that are cool. I can agree though that grains could probably be left out and what not, but I still think it would be cool to have different ammo types. Just makes the game that much more interesting.

So does anyone know about breaking down weapons and what not to save space? By that I mean, taking the barrel off a shot gun and the stock so you can fit it in your back pack. Only way to get it to working order is to put it back together again. This isn't really a suggestion, although it would be neat. I was just wondering if anyone has heard of something like this being added.

Well, I was hoping with the addition of folding stocks and what not it would save on space in your invetory since you're packing your gun essentially. Same way the bipod worked, right click and extend it in the inventory. So you can shoot it with it folded or not, naturally folded would be worse for accuracy, but save on inventory space like the mp5 with how small it is. It's a dream.
