Oh jesus, you're right, that's what it would be. I take it back. I take it all back. Use DayZcommander.

A defib will only work when the heart is what is failing, mainly used during cardiac arrest because that's the typical situation where the heart fails to the point where the person may die and requires outside assistance to survive the ordeal. However, in most games, defibs are seen as the "anti-death" item that can be used to bring a recently deceased player back to life. So, realism aside, I do like the idea of being able to get back up after 'dying' if I have a friend with an item that can do such a thing. Realistically, I don't like defibs being used as the stereotypical item to be used when reviving someone. CPR is a tad better in my book, but it's still silly. Here's my suggestion: A trauma kit. An item that uses up 1 or 2 slots, and is ambiguous enough to be used for any 'death' scenario where a player needs revival.

Crouch in the nearest bushes around your house with a gun - I recommend a plastic one with the red/orange tip, and wait for people to walk by. When one does, scream bang, and force them to walk back from where they came to simulate respawning at the beach. ... I use DayZcommander, on a serious note.

Weeeee. I missed that, but thanks for pointing it out.

I think the hardest thing to do in DayZ...
Fuzzy Wolfy replied to Blippy's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
DayZ is the perfect example of Darwinism. The stupid are impulsive and often times lack common sense or logical problem solving skills, they're more likely to get stuck and have no means of saving themselves, let alone anyone else. They're also significantly more likely to shoot you for no apparent reason other than being bored... Or they just D/C and never come back, but let's just chalk that up as them starving to death or managing to unintentionally kill themselves with a rusty spoon. Smart players, those who survive longest - and hypothetically have the best chance to procreate, are the ones who try their best to ensure their own survival, and/or try to aid others as well. -
When you've gotta' deliver a Fedex package across town, you'd best know how to action roll across a sniper infested city.

DayZ Standalone Suggestion: zombies
Fuzzy Wolfy replied to [email protected]'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
As much as I doubt this will ever be a thing in the new game, I'd love to have the ability to hide in closets or cabinets, or even crawl under a couch or bed. "Safe spots" so to speak, where players can get rid of aggro-happy zombies, and wait until they shamble away. -
Or, y'know, find a server with a different map. They exist.

I applaud the idea of cooperative objectives. But let's face it, anything that requires more than one person will end up being a location where people with duped high end gear will camp for players to come and kill them for de lulz.

DayZ Standalone Suggestion: zombies
Fuzzy Wolfy replied to [email protected]'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I'm extremely excited for the new DayZ. But I'm also dreading the day where I get it and launch it, only to have a runner follow me inside a house before I can find a reliable weapon and end up killing me. I'm unsure whether it's already fixed or going to be fixed, but the E3 preview of DayZ has shown the zombies to be just as glitchy; they run through walls, through doors, and attack from random distances. So all of that mixed with the fact that they can run indoors just scares me, and not in a good way. -
I love the idea, and it makes sense as well. I would also love to see some variation on tents where the player can crouch underneath a camo tarp. Image related

I like the idea, but here's what I expect. "What's that in the sky? A big... Balloon like object with a basket... Someone's inside it! They're having fun?! Without me?!" And they proceed to shoot at the balloon a few times, or even empty out all of the ammo they have into trying to kill you or bring down the balloon.

Let us boil seawater to make salt.

Can I throw the salt on the wounds of my enemies? -
It's actually quite an easy thing to code. I've seen mods for it on various games outside of Arma where injuries and their downsides are specified, such as; falling off dangerous heights will either damage or out right cripple your legs, your health drops, bleeding may or may not occur - because bruises and broken bones don't always bleed - and obviously your speed is severely reduced depending on the extent of the injury. Though Arma 3 is already being polished for release in the near future, I'd love to see some form of this instead of the usual "I've been shot in the hand, now I'm bleeding out of my spleen."

Emerge Gaming DayZ/Overwatch/Civilian/Trinity Servers | Dedicated Server Box | Custom anti hack | Active admins | Site/Forums | Custom scripts
Fuzzy Wolfy replied to VoidObject's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
You're near obsessive posting is enough to deter me from your server. I can already tell that the "active admins" are either you, or you and your friends, abusing your magical admin powers to do things such as spawn weaponry or vehicles. -
Requested Post for SA Damage model Suggestion.
Fuzzy Wolfy replied to mick17's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Hit boxes are a tricky thing to correctly code and then animate. Unless you're being chased by the scariest fucking thing alive - a T posed zombie - then someone will need to make sure every separate hit box is moving accordingly with the model. Not to mention, zombies in DayZ are already spastic as all hell and are a pain to shoot if you're aiming to be as economic as possible. Keyword; shoot. However, I very much like this idea of ultra realistic damage implementation. I'd love to have some form of added realism to injuries like a collapsed lung or a gouged eye, though it's incredibly doubtful that any of this will be added simply because it's an extremely complicated addition. I mean. In the apocalypse, where would you seek help for a collapsed lung or non-lethal ballistic head injury? ... Unless, along with this, there's the added possibility of creating field hospitals. -
Best way to occupy yourself during sniping
Fuzzy Wolfy replied to poodude28 (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I go about collecting gear, or fixing vehicles only to crash them in increasingly hilarious ways. That or I go about looking for fresh spawns to help out - that is unless they decide to shoot at me first. So you know. Being productive, helpful, and having a good time that doesn't involve killing anyone and everyone. -
So, it's like any other DayZ private hive server. IT'S LIKE A DREAM COME TRUE!
