Surely tent suddenly catching fire when destroyed is a new bug, or at least one i hadn't seen before and i saw many. Zeds going through walls have never been so present not to mention LoS since a zeds now spots you even when you're behind its backs and not moving at all with 0 visibility and 0 noise. More to the point if something isn't fixed then what's the use of reporting it as fixed in the first place ? Futhermore, what's me showing up after patch 1.7.7 has to do with anything ? Are my points any less valid because of this ? Since when being present on forums for any lenght of time entitles people with more or less credibility ? But to answer your question i mainly joined because 1.7.7 clearly pushed me over the edge along with people who write here pretending all is well in the best of world. Maybe you'd prefer me quietly quiting the game so people like you could have it their way with the dev giving in to your demands. Well, sorry, but that ain't gonna happen anytime soon and if i feel the need to express my views here or anywhere else, then goddamnit i will and so should everyone thinking as i do.

Then why for christ's sake are these in changelog ? (NEW] - Zeds hitting through Walls/Buildings should now be fixed. [FIXED] - Zeds spawning underground. [uPDATED] - Zed sight limited to 100 meters. It's clear now that what's you're trying to achieve is to demonstrate that people complaining about bugs are in fact complaining about difficulty and that in itself shows the extent of your bad faith concerning this matter. Never have i complained about the game being too hard, you just made that assumption out of thin air to accomodate your biased point of view.

And you obviously don't get the point, what you're are calling "difficulty" comes from bugs and glitches, Zeds aren't "difficult", they are bugged. The common mistake with you supporters of the 1.7.7 is that you're mixing up bugs and difficulty. Since when playing a buggier game makes it more difficult ? It makes it more frustrating...period .That's what cadian is trying to explain to you with great difficulties since you seem incapable of grasping the concept. Now here are you showing up with your so called skills and cheap tricks every average joe and his cousin already knows about and pretending to be comfortable playing a game that feels like good old times. Well of course it does feel like good ol'times, we are right back where we were a year ago bug wise, with no game difficulty added but a ton of bugs to make up for it. More bugs for you guys = more difficulty and a step in the right direction ? Well, I could understand deniability from a dev happy with himself and not willing to admit that what he did is broken, but the same attitude coming from members of the community makes me wonder where freakin common sense decided to take its vacation this year.

I really have the feeling some people would like to make us believe the patch is actually working as intended and that bugs/glitches are in fact a (twisted ?) way to make the game harder. How does an empty cherno make the game harder ? And how the hell does a gliched tent which doesn't want to set up where you intend it to be, warps you and catch fire when destroyed makes the game harder ? The point is not that the game is harder the point is the game is more bugged !! Now i am not quite getting the point why people would rejoice at the idea of playing a buggier game. In any case a cheap jedi mind trick like : "(waves hand) this is not the game you're looking for" sounds like a very poor attempt to make us believe nothing went wrong with the current patch to begin with. Sorry to say that's NOT the case and that pretending otherwise is just what pushed people over the edge and made a fair number quit. THAT, more than anything else, really makes me angry !

Here is a few suggestions concerning zeds : instead of having zeds with superman's power, why not make them slower but harder to kill, like zeds are in any Zombie movie, with a blow to the head remaining fatal. Let's say it would take up to 5 hits to the body (or even 10) to kill a zed, wouldn't it make them more challenging without having to tweak their behaviour ? At the same time making melee weapons more common but guns harder to find would add some challenge without the need to have stuff like insane infection rate. I suppose the pro's and anti's patch 1.7.7 could settle for that since it adds more realism and make zeds a real challenge at the same time. Also a Zed should be able to sniff you like a dog would and roam in the general area you're in but not attack unless you're really in his LoS, that would guarantee a real possibility at sneaking and infiltrating without random aggro generated by who knows what. Finally, if possible why not add something like frantic/rabid/wild dogs in the game, those could be able to sniff you and aggro from a great distance and you would need something like a pet dog to avoid being aggroed by such dogs.

Sorry if i interrupt the happiness of all those who think the patch is great but maybe you failed to notice the amount of bugs an glitches the patch brang back. What about tents which won't set up and when they do, dupe themselves ? What about stuff missing in inventory ? What about stashes that don't work, ? Vehicles you can't fix (helis) ? Zeds zigzaging as hell ? random aggro etc...Truth is the game didn't become harder, it just became frustrating and made a lot of people quit until another patch comes along to fix the mess (if it ever does). For me the game became easier and uninterresting for a simple reason : servers i play on are now empty and i can cross the whole map without meeting a soul. If you guys find AI Zeds will ever be a replacement for the thrill of escaping other players looking to kill you, you are seriously mistaken because it gets boring really fast. In any case, making Zeds harder or easier is not the point, the point is the game is broken because Zed's behaviour is broken, and because glitches and bugs make the game frustrating and without interest when you add them up. -

I just came upon that statement from R4ZOR : "As we all know infection is proving to be a hot topic for everyone so we are going to try and change it up a little without changing anything else around the game so loot will remain the same and so will zeds. The only difference is how the infection from being attacked by zeds will work." Does that mean that having zeds zigzaging, going through walls, spotting you with no LoS is going to remain and is indeed how the game is supposed to work ? If not, shouldn't that be the first and most important thing to fix at the moment since it unbalances the whole game ? Is it even possible to fix it ? Since we all witnessed this issue reported as being fixed patch after patch but only seeming to get worse, i am starting to wonder. Also, i am asking myself if people who pretend the game now feels like good old times really were there during the good old times. Because i goddamn was ! and i don't recall the game as being as unbalanced as it is now with Zeds behaviour being so broken. Furthermore, and as an example of what the patch truly achieved, on the server i play atm and under 1.7.7. I did manage to find gear for myself despite the loot spawn being "Fixed" so here i am, set and looking for other players. The only problem is that i am now on an empty server with 3 people (that's 4 players including me) where they used to be 20 at exaclty the same time and for months until 1.7.7 "Fixed" that too. Is that what dayz dev team is aiming for ? And if it is, how is getting rid of the casual population a good thing ? Lastly i can't say i was impressed with the SA gameplay that was showed at E3, mainly because Zeds behaviour looked exactly the same than it is now in dayz mod (unbalanced and unrealistic). If you add that to the fact 1.7.7 created a lot of frustration that the dev deam seems unwilling to hear and even less adress , i have a feeling Dayz is aiming straight for a black hole.

Sorry if i won't agree with all the people saying this patch is wonderful but my opinion is that it's really bad. Infection rate is just sick and often is a death sentence. Zombie random aggro is still there, Zigzags aren't fixed nor is Zombies going thru walls. To survive more than 2 hours you need a backpack full of antibiotics, loot spawn is just super low and most often ends up spawning empty cans even in hospitals. Guns most of the time spawn without ammos but DMR is weirdly quite easy to find. Now if i get it correctly it seems that the dev team is happy with it and that is how the game is supposed to be. If that is true i fear that game isn't for me since playing "find the elusive antibiotic" online isn't my thing. Hope this kind of game finds its public but i am not part of it. I suppose amount of population on servers will tell us if that's what people really want dayz to be. In any case i am either out until a new patch corrects what has been broken or out for good if the game stays as it is with that version.
