In the mod handguns had a much lower audible range to zombies, not sure if thats the case with SA. But they were essential there.

Morning friend. These kinds of posts are usually frowned upon (as far as i can see) on these particular forums. Due partly to the fact this place has nothing to do with overpoch and mostly due to the fact that people keep posting them in the Day-PC (think Standalone) sub-forum. Just FYI I guess.

This was when standalone was a glimmer on the horizon. Its the the reason I own Arma 3. It looked better than SA, was a lot buggier but it had its moments. Breaking Point is fun however I refuse to play on principle.

Arma 3 DayZ or the "zoombies" mod was shuttered due to the fact it was merely an unauthorized port of DayZ Mod by pwnz0r. The Mod code is prohibited in its licence to be run on on arma 3. So BIS shut it down. As far as I know anyways
