I'm not underestimating the frequency It's just an insignificant variable, if this team allows multiboxing to influence design direction then they are looking at the little ball instead of the big ball. I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be inflammatory but its just ridiculous. I can respect that this practice has somehow become the monster under your bed but it doesn't scare me.

People buying extra copies of the game is not an issue with the system, By this logic the permadeath concept isn't real because a player can just buy an extra copy of the game and log in this extra character to store prized loot. It's nothing any sane individual would consider when addressing game design. And its nothing anyone but the most extreme player would do.

Says dayz launcher unable to locate Mods directory install

the mod install path would be the arma 2 oa folder located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common or wherever your steam library is.. -
And this is your reasoning against having keys? It's really difficult to take your position seriously. Again if a guy wants to pay for two copies of the game and go through all the rigmarole that comes with that then that doesn't mean we shouldn't have keys to the shelters instead of immersion breaking passcodes

It's just silliness to worry about people buying extra copies. If a guy wants to buy the game twice so he can have two keys to some shitshack in the bush north-west of lopatino then i say power to them.

It makes sense that a wooden shack be as invulnerable as a wooden shack would be IRL, as in, not all that much. It doesn't make sense for a character to spawn on the beach and know the code to a base. Granted there are things you cannot help such as they would know where it was located but anything to minimize making it easy to survive as you are suggesting. Its not intended to be easy, but it is intended to be realistic.

But it ruins the permadeath. Permadeath is at the heart of th game. They should be destructible though and honestly if SA introduced stashes like the mod, all my stuff would be there anyways.

Here is a video of Dayz with that card. BAre in mind howeveer that this dudes cpu is a lot better than yours but with that card i dont see why you couldnt do medium to medium low settings (which with this game would still look great)

Just curious if they are loading the objects as script or perhaps they don't have enough LOD's or both, but man its a slideshow up there even the smaller towns run way worse than their southern counterparts with the exception of the heavily modified towns like stary or polana.

Here is a solution, go take a rusty piece of corrugated sheet metal say 6 feet by 4 feet and cut it into squares with a hacksaw then get back to me.
