Yeah, there is hope, just check back here in 1 to 4 years, then this game will be ready, probably. I mean the game is great, but the developement is way too slow(it has been 0.59 for 5 months)... It kinda gives me the feeling the devs will abandon this soon, which I hope is not true, but it just feels like it... When 0.60 comes out with new render, the fps is supposed to change. I wished they would have picked Arma 3 engine to work on, instead of Arma 2 one. -
Why am I still getting major FPS problems in and out of citys?

A zombie went aggro on me from about 100 meters away, when I was in a building, behind a mostly boarded up window. Probably saw my head trough 2x2 cm uncovered hole. I find it funny how zombies can aggro on you from insane distances, but when you run towards them with a melee weapon up, they only notice you when you get real close.

You have a higher chance of running into people at NWAF with 10 people on the server. Also a lot of high geared people stay near the coast to get easy kills, and hence freshspawns have trouble getting out of the towns. And some people are new to the game, they don't know any area outside of the spawnpoints.

I noticed that it does not update consuming items sometimes, it takes time to show up or it never does. Especially when you use Eat all/Drink all option. One way to fix it was that after you used "Eat all/Drink all", you just use "Eat/Drink" once, and it updates.

So is 1.8.1 ever coming out or? I like mod a lot more than standalone atm. F**K that rubberbanding crap! Like I said before, Dean doesn't care, he is too busy getting moneys from standalone. Someone else should take care or releasing the updates for the mod and testing them out(like R4Z0R49). It is getting more and more frustrating watching this thing. It would be enough for one guy to release them. He/she can see if the mod build works properly or if it needs to be worked on. It is just a bunch of BULLSH*T!

Yea, I know, I read your post. I mostly ment with my comment that this idea in particular might have a pretty good chance of being implemented into the game.

I remember Dean talking about this idea months ago in one of his devblogs or at some expo or on livestream. (That tehnically when you clear out a town from zombies, they will start spawing around it and moving towards the town)

Yea, I just noticed that. Too bad joining them will delete your old character on experimental. Well they did say the update is going to happen this week, I hardly belive it is going to be on sunday. -

Vaulting/jumping is related to the server(as in desynch,lag,response time), from my experience. For example when server is lagging, you will have really hard time to vault. In fact, have you ever tried to vault/jump after server has gone down? You cannot(unless I am doing something completely wrong)

You know, they should give you the rights to release updates for the mod, because you are the only one who still cares and Rocket doesn't care anyway, he is busy with SA. With this pace 1.8.1 will come out 2016 with 10 players still playing the mod.

Yes, you should have Epoch checked. I have had this happen before. Only dayz you should have enabled in that list should be Epoch. Now can you enable it and disable the other(s)? Sometimes it does not let you, for some reason. If it doesnt work, here is a small tutorial: http://i.imgur.com/KsFCyCF.png Hope you are able to understand that. There are actually pleanty on armaholic forums to how this works.

Sweeet. Apparently clients are not receiving updates from server. The same problem is that you are unenable to interact with doors and loot.
