Heres an example of why I could never understand how people would play with no zeds even if was an option. My friends and I took fire, we were spread out over a 700-800m distance. Two mosins from generally the same direction. Im on the flank position and ask for cover fire as I hike it around to the woods. By now these guys have killed one of ours, and shot their mosins 5+ times each. Im working my way into position to get behind these guys and I take agro from a zed. Im within 2 - 300m of these guys and I take agro while they shoot their guns over and over, and I hadnt shot a round yet. Stop, pull out my axe, wait for the zed, kill zed, start running again and... You are dead. I would hope once things are working properly I would never have to worry about any of that situation, as the guys with the mosins would be quickly zombie food after the first couple shots. Otherwise yeah we may as well play cod, its at least structured better for straight pvp. DayZ without the Z just ain't DayZ.

In the mod every tent sight I had also had multiple bear traps surrounding them so unless you knew the correct path you would have a broken leg. I also kept morphine close by but in the stash spots so they were hidden from view. Bear traps persisted through resets. Anyone have the link to the development post about them not ever having booby traps?

This player was invisible on my screen after we engaged him, but not invisible to my friend.. I was not 100% sure if it was something he was doing or if it was just a bug.. If it was something he was doing, then it means hackers can make themselves invisible to specific players, rather than to everyone. Ohhhhh man that sucks... Took me tossing my AK twice before I unbound the "g" key altogether..... Shitty deal...

Imo.. All fruit not found on the tree itself should be rotten.... Unless dayz is set the day after the outbreak... Which it's not from what I gather...

As far as fragnet goes there is no possible way for me to deny people from joining. Sucks when my group isn't and our server is full it's like uhhhhhh shit... Guess we'll play somewhere else. Even though considering the money we pay to rent our own server definitely leaves me wanting to login and kicka bunch of people so my friends can join. But no there is no way to lock a server (at least using our provider) and have never ever had a regular stable server onot allow me to join.

I suggest getting Creative... Smash and grab Looting unless you have a means to dispose of zombies is not a good option. have yet to die to a zed as a fresh spawn it is still easily possible to survive your first half hour or so.

Answer to all your questions gets answered upon the release of h1z1. And if I had to guess (which obviously I am) it will be disappointing to those who buy it. I also refuse to vote on this pointless speculative poll.

Well one thing is certain... Server performance won't improve with 100+ people duping gear. Can't wait to see if the fix for this actually works.

Not that I don't believe you I just don't think it was actually hackers you saw in that 8 hours... Maybe but doubtful... If it was then yes that's very unlucky Had my first encounter last night after about 100hr, Was on my server.. was enjoying it being full running around the new northern towns, and I was making my way through the woods to the Nwaf when all of a sudden I got "rubberbanded" back about 50 meters. I said to myself wow.. Haven't had a rubberband since like. 45 or something but didn't think much of it. I ran back the same way I just had and all of a sudden, bam I get put back in the same spot.... What the hell? I try running a different direction and in another minute I got put back in a spot no where near anywhere i had just ran.... Scratching my head now I start walking forward and my character literally was walking backwards at the same time, it was fighting me trying to moving forward. Okay something is going.on here... I open up the server screen and the population dropped on the server from 40\40 to about 10\40 in a matter of minutes. I decided that logging immediately was my best choice as clearly someone was taking control periodically. If it weren't for that moment where I literally felt someone fighting the control of my character I would chalk this up to lag or Rubberbanding... By the looks of it, it was a very inexperienced kiddie playing with the hacks he just bought via mom's stolen credit card.

Tires probably will be the first thing you need (as bicycles will most likely be our first mode of transportation) I doubt any vehicle will have more than one tire on it that is "usable". The mod had engine parts, fueltank parts, glass, and scrap metal for body repairs. This will be more elaborate obviously but is a good guideline for those who never played the mod or got a vehicle up and running. Also, you'll need gas. You'll also need a gas canister to hold said gas. Just some food for thought.

Your logic of wanting to cheat so you can battle another cheater is getting old. Maybe hackers know you guys cheat so they teleport to you first? Have never seen a teleport and always am on a full server in all corners of the map. You "often have teleporters all around you"?? Really? Multiple teleporters all around you often? Somehow I feel gross exaggerating here because of being butt hurt that you cannot dupe anymore. So sad. On another note... Noooooo my 6 month old M4 and 60 mags noooooo! Lol +1 for character wipes!
