    Liveable Shipping Containers

I would actually really like to try this. Especially if there were functioning cranes or heavy machines you could use to lift or scoot your little home around.
  2. I think this idea is absolutely foolish. No sane person is going to carry a primed explosive on their person at all times. You're going to end up killing yourself more often than anyone else. Poisoning is a much better tactic for getting someone from beyond the grave. It's sure as hell more subtle.

    Random ritual killings

Torture porn you say are we expecting this in time for beta
  4. Shemaghs are the bomb-diggity. I have a brown one, olive one, white, and a crimson for hikes, so in case I get hurt or something I can use it to signal aircraft or whatever. Point is, they're super useful and need to be in the game. They can be tied into facemasks, neck scarves, slings for arms (or a sling in terms of a crude weapon), it can be folded and used as a water filter, it can be used as a blanket, sunshade, improvised bag, the list stretches about as far as your imagination.

Pffft i remember why im a Bandit.

I don't understand where you people meet these whackos. I've never been murdered by someone who's said they were friendly. I rarely team up with them for more than 10 minutes, though. I've actually met some of my most trustworthy gaming partners through DayZ.

Something for the ladies... the Pink Derringer exists!

My partner carries one of those things as his sidearm. I keep offering him CR75s or whatever we come across, but he seems infatuated with it.

I disagree, actually. I rather like the silence and empty feeling of the standalone. It has a more end-of-the-world feeling to it

So my tents disappeared after ~1830 today?

BEC ran a warning for the past few days that the wednesday maintenance period was going to clear out all 'persistent loot and tents' and to 'pack all of your tents before the reset'. http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/214882-so-tents-will-be-deleted-on-every-wednesday-maintenance/

Win8 high end pc spec very LOW Fps

Right now we're in the stage of game development where they're adding features. Server performance, frame rate, and optimizations come later. There's nothing particularly wrong with your rig, Just wait it out a bit. c:

    I feel bad, even if I shouldn't

As far as guilt goes, you did what you HAD to do to stay alive. If he had reloaded his weapon, he would have no doubt fired at you again. In that situation, you can either feel guilty, or you can feel dead. I'd rather take the first option, personally. It's never fun killing someone if it's not your normal playstyle, but sometimes you have to do it if you want to avoid the void.

    Better inventory

I disagree. Long rifles would only fit if you disassemble them. Which I would be fine with, personally, but if they're disassembled they shouldn't be ready-to-use in a matter of seconds. If you remove sight systems from rifles, for instance, they need to be zeroed and calibrated correctly before they're reliable. I don't think an entire shovel or fire axe or hoe would fit in a backpack, but I certainly think a hand trowel would. Same goes with the fishing rod. I'm guessing you've never seen one on someone's back, but they're quite long and they do in fact fit into a hunter's pack for some reason.

    Better inventory

I don't want to see this for the simple fact that you presented. I don't want CoD children running around with several shotguns and AKs in their backpacks. A lot of the items that shouldn't fit in bags, do fit in bags, even without general tomfuckery like rotating or inception-style storage.

    Socks

I think I'd rather see shemaghs/scarves instead of socks. You can filter water through them. You can use them as bandages, build a splint, build a sling, a makeshift sack, sunshade, face mask, there's a ton of uses for them. How about they just trade the model for naked feet with a pair of socked feet? boom, fixed.

    Half of a Slot items?

This game is a metaphor. People need to stop being so goddamn nitpicky. No, inventory systems aren't going to be perfect, because there's no way to program backpack space where each item has individual volumes and shapes and still have reasonable load times. You have to understand that the more intricate a game's code is, the more performance you have to sacrifice. Take the backpack space and volume with a grain of salt.

    Socks

It'd be a fun thing to stuff into others' mouths though.
  18. Perhaps it might be nice if you're unable to interact with loot for a certain amount of time after joining a server shortly after leaving another. You can see it. You can salivate over it. But you can't touch it.
  19. Fitness isn't really something that can be achieved over the course of a few days. It takes weeks and months to start making a noticeable difference in the way that you're explaining. I don't think that kind of system would work out right now with the prospect of character wipes, glitch deaths, etc. Personally, I agree with you that there should be a sort of reward for keeping yourself alive for an extended period of time instead of spawning, sprinting to the nearest gun spawn, and 360-mlg-no-scoping noobs until you're killed.
  20. If you were running around and active it would cause you to stay warm. I suggest you jog to your destinations, too; it seems like sprinting causes you to overheat.

    Messy but has potential

The thing about survival is, it isn't easy. You have to know how to provide food and water for yourself. You can't just cling to the remnants of civilization and expect canned goods to spawn and last forever. You will need to forage. You will need to gather and hunt. You will need to farm.

    Are weapon magazines too rare?

Let's say that the zombie apocalypse has run its course over several months (judging by the decay of buildings, rusted metals, etc). If you were to find a military zombie outside and kill it, it would be pretty likely that any magazine he's carrying would have rusted springs (or loosened springs if they're loaded too long) from rainfalls. I think loose piles of bullets on military zombies might be a little more feasible.

How zombies will change the game

I'd be fine with a survival simulator sans zombies, as long as there's still loot to grab and stuff to build and farm. At least then I'd know where I stand with other players.
