Longer chance of resuscitation after dying from hypothermia.
nettles replied to gorvi's topic in Suggestions
"This guy's been dead for 2 days. " "Ahhhhhhhhhh, stick 'im with an epi pen, 'e'll be fine." -
It'd be a little more fun to drink and play the game if your buddy wasn't also drunk, and waving a loaded pistol at you. ask me how I know

What are the tactical advantages of shooting someone in the back from 700 meters away, ruining their gear, and leaving their corpse there while you retreat back into the woods when they never even knew you were there in the first place? Unless you're in a support role trying to keep your buddies safe, there is no advantage to shooting someone that poses no threat to you.

the idea is fine, but the amount of players that would actually do this or find this useful is pretty slim. I'd like to have a shank, sure, but there are already so many tools in the loot spawn that it's pointless.

Why I prefer the DayZ Mod to DayZ Standalione.
nettles replied to Baker.'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Do your shins still disintegrate whenever you try to walk through a doorway? or go down some stairs? or crawl over a tree branch? or crawl over a staircase? or try to climb a ladder? or try to close a door? or try to open a door? or try to drag your friend? or try to get into a car? or try to get out of a car? or stand too close to a vehicle? -
Newest update dried up weapons and items?

That bomber jacket though -
I would have to say the temperature system is working fine. I've never had any kind of temperature-related deaths acting like a normal sensible human being would act. That's jogging or walking, resting indoors, drinking often, and I wear a brown hoodie regardless of weather. I never fall below cold or rise above hot. I also don't carry 3 primaries and 7 magazines. edit: I do tend to wear comfortable jeans, boots, a hoodie, and cap. I don't wear a vest though.

I like these videos where the intro is longer than the good part.

I am against edible Nettles don't eat Nettles

Use the MP133 shotgun. Trust me. 7.62x39 most certainly does spawn inside houses.

My favorite ones are the kids that brag about killing people and taking their things. Bonus points if they ran straight to 'the NWAF' and shoot someone in the back. even more bonus points if they use the word 'sniper'

Might want to take a seat next to a nice warm cozy fire, you seem a bit chilly mate
-
Suppressors don't silence a weapon. They just quiet it enough so that it's hard to tell where the weapon was fired from. "Silenced" weapons are still loud enough to be noticed by brainless hunters.

mmm, I want a people-leather mask. and maybe a ball gag. can we craft a cat o' nine tails too? mmm, I can't wait until full release.

Makarov is my second-favorite sidearm, watch your tongue. =.=
-
I think that's taking it way too far. Even if it's a survival simulator, it's still just a game.

The sledgehammer is fun. My buddy and I science'd in a med building. Suffice to say he had a bit of a headache and a jog afterward. The machete might should do more blood damage and possibly more health damage. I'd like to see bladed weapons get a buff. Aren't they reworking the melee system entirely? It's not unlikely they'll fix the damages then.

Fishing hooks... am I going mad or have they suddenly become extremely rare?
nettles replied to rickyriot's topic in General Discussion
Sure man. just meet me in the open field north of the NEAS. Just stand in the dead center of the field. -
Personally I prefer the MP133. The shells pack a punch even at a distance. I don't normally carry a sidearm, but lately I've been toying with the magnum. It's pretty comfortable to use and doesn't require a magazine, like the shotgun. I don't spend much time in military areas, so I don't bother with magazines and their compatibility.

I tend to find more than enough hooks in the little railroad maintenance sheds, like the one outside the industrial zone of Novodmitrosk and Svetlojarsk. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but I'm having a little more difficulty finding rope myself. -
Everyone would just choose 'deployed' so they wouldn't have to loot for a gun and just go kill each other like it's CoD.
-
A tracker would encourage people to work on 'specialties' or try to compete in doing one thing. DayZ is supposed to be a survival simulator where you're going to likely have to do everything, whether you like it or not. Tracking kills, for example, is going to cause a lot more kids to run around and shoot everyone they meet to grow their stats. Just let people play the way they're going to play without rewarding them with arbitrary number statistics.

Well, if you're logging into a server in a loot hotspot- let's say a military barrack, for instance- your chance for being shot in the face are much higher. Considering the low rate of posts with similar content, let's say the problem is possibly behavioral.
