I've found two sets of binoculars in those red pub-style buildings that are listed as 'medical' buildings on the DayZDB map. Try looking there behind the bar next to the shelf.

I agree that Balota should be repurposed. And you might be right about the lumber mill idea, we have one in Berezino, but we could use one or two more dotted across the map.

This seems like a list of military weapons in a mostly civilian countryside. No thanks. This isn't CoD or Battlefield.

While the game is still in Alpha phase you should really avoid getting attached to your character and gear. It's possible that when you lost connection your character maybe went through the 'logout' sequence where he sits down and waits 30 seconds before disappearing and during that time a zombie or player might have gotten you.

Considering loot is not that difficult to come by, you don't really need anything that he was carrying (which bullets may have ruined anyway). Personally I would have let him go as well if I was in the middle of something. If I'd had some free time I probably would have tried to guess where he was going next and track him for a bit. Watch over him and make sure he doesn't get into trouble or anything, y'know?

Actually, the game wasn't set up for physics either, but they supposedly have it "functionally complete." I really like this idea, because yeah, if you take a bullet, you're not going to quietly keel over unless it's a clean killshot. Maybe if we have like a little quick-time where we can press different buttons to crawl, or apply pressure to a wound, or draw a pistol, or cry out for help or to warn others in a near-incapacitated state.

The bipod only works correctly if you're prone.

You need to find some food and chow down. You can eat until that stuffed notification turns red. After both 'energized' and 'hydrated' are bright green it'll take about 20 minutes for you to start healing. Stay energized and hydrated.

I think it would be a really cool idea for your character's hair and facial hair to grow over the length of your lifespan. So women with really long hair and men with beards would be the grizzled survivors that ditched civilization and pitched a tent in the woods for a couple weeks. Also, maybe we could have hair ties, razors, and shaving kits as lootable items.

Which movie/show is this from? Also, you got me. I should apply some ointment to that burn, huh? It's actually a pretty rare occurrence for me to shoot anyone, but if I do, they shot at me first. I spend my hours looking for nice places to set up a camp site with my buddies in preparation for the hunting/cooking patch. And yes, I think I'm quite good. c:

There needs to be more incentive NOT to shoot other people. Ruined gear just doesn't do it. Too many people play this game like it's Call of Duty Modern Warfare Ghost Sniper Elite 420 XXX Game of the Year Edition. I haven't played that one yet but it sounds like the last 4 iterations of the series. Maybe if all servers were set to restart every 12 hours and all gear on a dead player was ruined it might make the decision a little tougher. Also, maybe if the VoN threshold was a little higher (or maybe if there was a 'yell' channel) people could talk to each other before they're close enough to stumble onto one another and blast the other in surprise.

That was awful. First of all, you're all standing out in the middle of the open on the most hostile part of the map. That leads me to believe you're loot hopping empty servers or it's a private server. Boring. Next, Y'all are wearing those stupid looking gas masks, army clothes, and refrigerator backpacks. I couldn't even finish the video, it was so disgusting. Lastly, who gives a fuck about a team-kill? Clans are for 12-year-old children that play CoD and BF.

I like to think that the M4 is maybe just any rifle of the AR-15 family under the umbrella of M4A1 because they don't feel like doing the models of M16s, M4s, AR-15s, etc when they all have the same part commonality. (It's just my headcannon.) both the AR-15 and M1911 can be found in a lot of gun enthusiasts' collections, so while they're not common, they're not unheard of either. Judging by the amount of deer stands in Chernarus I'd wager that there's a large portion of the population that hunt. Hunting and gun enthusiasm go pretty well hand-in-hand. Or is that just an American thing? I strayed a little off topic there but my main point is that I would not like to see OP's gun in the game.

Because supposedly the gun is used commonly in the Czech Republic. That's why they considered it lore-friendly. I said it would be a replacement because it uses 9mm parabellum rounds like an MP5. I voted no, though, because it's too tacti-cool for the setting. Chernarus is supposedly a post-Soviet country that's war-torn and broke.

I've never had a problem hitting what I was aiming at with the SKS. I'll admit that the M4 is a pretty effective zombie killer with its hi-cap mags and crazy attachments, but it just doesn't have the punch I want. Which sight systems do you usually use for either gun? PU or iron sights? iron, RDS, BIS, ACOG?

You have to zero your sights. It's only inaccurate because you're forgetting to range your shots. I made a shot on a kid running across the street at 350 meters with one shot.

If it was me, I'd take it. Or an SKS, honestly. No shortage of those, and they're pretty darned powerful.

MP buttstock supposedly reduces your shot dispersion, so full-auto or bursts are supposedly more accurate. same for the handguard.

i'd like to see what more people think about this gun. Is it used in CoD and BF? I haven't played either of the newest iterations of those games so I dunno.

I feel like this weapon is too military for the direction they're going to try to take with this game. It is a bad-ass looking gun and I'll have to look them up later. It would be a great replacement for the MP5A5, which I think is German?

Yes, when I was playing experimental .42 something seemed a little off-kilter with the shotgun. My partner and I were raiding the CEDA center in Svetlojarsk (not sure if it's CEDA, but it's that blue med building) when someone ran in and started swinging with an axe- naturally we both opened fire- My friend hit him first with 2 rounds from a sawn-off double barrel and he escaped through the back door. He shouldn't have. Later it took a half a mag of M4 rounds to finish him off when he tried again. All of his gear was ruined by the shotgun but he survived both blasts. The patch notes say that the shotgun damage has been nerfed, but not by enough to survive 2 shells, surely?
