I've been thinking, and I know you can get Global ban from hacking/scripting. But can/will you get a global ban from duping, and how does rocket/BattlEye catch dupers? Or can they? P.S. What about duping from tents? By accident or on purpose? Can you receive a ban for that too?

My clan figured this out, only the owner can save the tent. Yes it gives others the option to save the tents as well. But if someone who is not the owner saves the tent, nothing will actually save and your items will be lost. So just make sure that the owner of the tent saves it and the items will respawn on server reset.

Yes...How do you know that they haven't got that from other camp sites and such? If you're a large enough clan it is EASY as hell to find all that.

How do you have proof that they are duping? Yes that is a lot of gear. But is easy to get from raiding other camps (such as large camps, or camps from other duping clans)... It is also known that duping is very popular among groups. I for one, don't really have a problem with anyone exploiting in any game, just no hacks.

Rocket announced when DayZ goes Standalone, and if it does well enough, there is a possibility of it going to console. And yeah it has enough buttons..?

It's perfectly fine to have that weapon. Yes, it is hacked into the game, but you cannot receive a global ban unless you are the person who hacked it in. I carry that gun whenever I can. It's amazing.

You cannot get global ban for wearing hacked in items, or using hacked in weapons. If you are hacking weapons, that's a completely different story. If you get caught hacking things into the game, that is global ban. But if you get caught by an admin wearing it, they can get ban you if they so please. If you are playing solo, its not that big of a deal because there are plenty of DayZ servers.

Try going into Task Manager, finding OA in processes, right click it, and change it's priority. Don't make the priority too high though! Or you might lag even worse. Also google GameBooster and check that out, it might help a bit too.

Maybe other players can trust you, but can you trust them? Now that they know you have a SVD and a MK you could have a meeting with a bandit, and the ending outcome would be very bad for you. If I were you, I'd just camp the loot spawns at the NW airfield, preferably the barracks. I'd think that, that would be your best bet in finding one. Good luck!

AS50 (TWS if I find it with one): Because I can drop a target without them even knowing I'm there. It is also quiet for a sniper. L85A2 AWS: You can take down someone at close to medium range without them ever locating you during the firefight. You can also scan with it and enemies stand out like sore thumbs. G17: Due to its large mag and iron sights it is a great zombie killer, can also be used to take down a player in a desperate situation.

I was roaming around in Elektro one night. I had a revolver and I saw a flare on a dead body. I thought "what the hell, this is a trap, but lets do this". I ran up and started looting it..it was empty. I hear people yelling at me over direct chat to lay face down and drop my pistol. I comply. One of my 2 attackers starts looking in my backpack. While he is doing this, I harmlessly take a peek into his nice big ol' coyote pack. I slip out his AKM (He had a DMR out at the time) and 1 mag. He goes over to his friend to give him my only pack of painkillers, while they are doing this I reload the AKM (I don't know how he didn't see my hold it when I took it out). I walk up behind them, numbnuts 1 is looting at his feet as he takes his painkillers, and numbnuts 2 has his back to me. I say (no joke) "nighty night, bitches" I then proceed to hose the numbnut brothers down with a AKM and a lone mag. I then get over run buy zombies and die. The end..

The better Snipers for PvP are the better snipers in the game. If you find a AS50 or M24 and want to risk it killing coastal players in Cherno, be my guest, but a CZ, or even a Lee Enfield will work.

Well..I was gonna give some advice, but Lockdown pretty much sums it up. If you do choose to snipe in Elektro or Cherno, one thing to look out for is counter snipers. People can and will lay on a nice high concealed spot, scanning for bandit snipers to eliminate. And let me emphasize on what Lockdown said, never pick an obvious spot! Firehouses for instance, amazing sniper spots, or so you think, until someone see's you clear as day and domes you from one of the 3 windows you are not looking out of. Also a quick little tip if you are sniping, bring at least a heatpack or two. If you get all set up on a roof, lay there for a while, you will begin to get cold. With cold comes shivering and if you are shivering in DayZ you won't be able to hit the side of the Cherno church from 20 feet (a bit exadurated, but you get my drift). My last little "tip" is don't get pissed off when you die. Bandits are the ones out looking for the fight, don't get upset when you get killed; which will probably be quite quickly since you are just starting out at the whole PKing thing. Happy hunting! P.S. Hey guys, I've heard some stuff about/seen some footage of a DayZ singleplayer (where you can spawn things and such). I was wondering if anyone knows how I can get this? I would like it so I can practice my driving & flying. Maybe practice my sniper shot too. Any help would be appreciated!

Hey guys, I've been rolling solo in DayZ for quite a while since my friends quit. It's getting tricky playing this game solo. I was starting to think, what if I look into bandit clans (I am a bandit) on the forums? Are they trustworthy? Or will they just shoot me the second I meet with them and steal my stuff. Any input on what I should do would be greatly appreciated!

Where do I start... In real life people WILL camp on top of a building and they won't feel bad, never mind cut their own wrists when they blow your face off. The M1911 has an effective range of 75m. So please do me a favor. Stop bitching, be careful and don't let snipers see you. Grab a gun as simple as a lee enfield (effective range of 400m) or an AKM (400m) and shoot them in the head. There is no building in Cherno or Elektro that can watch over ever street, alley, and building in the town. So just don't play stupid. I have been playing DayZ since the beginning and have NEVER been sniped by a high power rifle in Cherno or Elektro, all because I play carefully. Try it sometime. I feel it's people like you that try to ruin DayZ and the good game it is. P.S. If someone who DOES go crazy from shooting someone, simply giving someone a bandaid isn't going to magically make them go back to a healthy mental state.

I feel that this would take the realism right out of DayZ.

Hey guys, So I have a Revolver, L85A2 AWS, AS50 TWS (I did not hack this in, I found it in a tent), ghillie suit, and binos, (Maybe some other odds and ends I forgot to mention.). I am considering for my Let's Play doing some player hunting around NWAF and Stary Sobor. I am not sure if I should player hunt during the day, or night (Since my AS50 has thermal and if I get in a close up sit my L85 has thermal & NV). My only concern about hunting during the night, is I have a feeling that people that loot during the night travel in groups (just a hunch not sure though) and that I would stick out like a sore thumb to enemy snipers. Any info/tips on player hunting during the day and/or night would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks! P.S. Don't complain because I am sniping looters. Yes I am a bandit, and no I don't trust anyone and I S.O.S. And if you want to know I do/will be looting the bodies of the people I shoot. I need beans too you know.

Well you just met one. I need food, water, heat packs, meat for blood, ammo, and other items. Plus I don't see what's wrong with the AS50 TWS. If gives you the extra edge on your enemy. What's wrong with that? And Arc, you better watch out. I'm coming for your beans ;)

Thanks Lonrem and Cheese. I think I might stick around during the day until I find NVGs because without them I think it will be quite hard to navigate to dead bodies and such. What do you think? Also whats your opinion to me finding a bandit group on the forums and trying to join them? I know I S.O.S but are bandit groups on the forums trust worthy? Or should I stick to it solo? And Mikey I really don't give. Saying "I don't complain about the fact that you are a sniper..." then complaining and saying I shouldn't be a sniper contradicts itself. You do get a rush sniping. And I really don't think DayZ is about everyone showing that they have "ballz of steel" I think its about surviving a zombie apocalypse. So if you want to spend forever finding NVGs then waste them by rushing players with an AK or M4, then be my guest.

And how do you know it is really Day? It depends on the server you join and what time they have it set too.
