I agree with all points, except your first. Your character is immune to the virus, meaning air particles, blood, whatever would not result in your character getting infected. From what I've gathered, the infection is from zombies gouging you with rotten, dirty, bacteria ridden nails and teeth. Or from eating raw meat, dirty water. Or from exposing yourself to the elements. The infection you get is not the virus strain that the "zombies" are suffering from. It's a common infection/illness. I believe in the SA, there will be multiple types of illnesses/infections that will all have realistic side effects, and will require certain types of treatment.

The smoother your game runs the better. I also enjoy it on a larger screen (I play on a 27in monitor). The more monitors you have also helps (I know a guy with 3 monitors, and he spots people like no tomorrow). I also need a surround sound headset. I currently have Sharktoon X-Tactic S7 headset. It's 7.1 surround, and it's amazing. Unlike a stereo headset, when someone shoots, I instantly know their general direction. If they shoot more than once I can pinpoint them quite accuratly. EDIT: The cracking/popping/wizzing sound you hear, means someone is shooting at you, and it happens with all guns. If you hear that, serpentine like a mother fucker. I try to pinpoint the players general position (usually using sound) and run horizontal to them. While running horizontal, I freelook in the direction of the shots, and usually can spot the player by aggro, dust, muzzle flash (night time), or tracers. From there I usually get to cover, and if I have the option, flank the player. If I'm pinned down (i.e rock in the middle of no where, or something of the sort) my only option is to usually wait for the player to move, before I can roll out and take my shot/suppress him/her.

How long are you waiting after the program doesn't respond? Some of the time my Arma 2 stop responding and after 5-10 seconds it instantly boots up.

$500-$600 is on the low end. You're not going to be able to run lots of stuff with great FPS/quality. Your best bet would to be to put some money aside and save up. I have other expenses I'm putting before this, but in the future (a few years) I plan to save around $1,000 and put that into a computer. $850+ is what you should save to build a worthwhile computer (IMO)

The L85 AWS was removed, and the L85 Holo, and L85 SUSAT have been added. In the big scheme of things, that's not too large of a stockpile. I would completely classify that as legit.

I believe it's a a DayZ mod for GTA: San Andreas.

You need a real GPU for sure. And a better processor wouldn't hurt.

You processor is okay, but your GPU is lacking lots. I would say your best bet would to be to upgrade your hardware.

Easily my favourite as well. That was actual art created by someone, all I did was add in the "DayZ" and darken it, and mess with the saturation a tad. The others were only screenies from the editor where I made the colours pop. I'm still quite shitty with editing photos. But I do enjoy it.

I'm going to assume you know the basics of DayZ. Good starter guns: 1. Lee Enfield 2. Any M4 Varient 3. Any AK Varient 4. Winchester 5. CZ 550 Fastest Way to Get Bandit Skin: Shoot people Where to find a ghillie: The ghillie is residential. Look in houses, pubs, schools, and church's. General Tips: 1. Don't underestimate your target 2. Try to keep the element of suprise 3. Don't be stupid 4. Stay out of side chat 5. Learn the area around hotspots, and take advantage of sniper positions, counter sniper positions, etc, etc. 6. Don't bite off more than you can chew (works together with Rule 3) 7. Trial and error. EDIT: And for godsake, when you get shot at, don't just lie down.

Go into steam, and verify the integrity of you cache. Delete your @DayZ folder and reinstall completely. Reinstall the ArmA 2 Beta Patch. Report back with findings.

I must say, it's a neat idea, but slightly far fetched. Oil rigs are not 100% self sustainable, they also require quite the man power to staff/operate the rig. Without the assistance of extra fuel and a full, trained crew, the oil rig would not be able to operate. Also, in the event of a post apocolyptic senario, when rigs are abandoned, wouldn't they be shut down, meaning you won't stumble upon a rig in action?
