I'm confused on the point of this thread.. I started thinking it was a suggestion, then it turned into a rant thread..

It's your CPU. The game uses one core, not your entire CPU. It's bottle necking. Or each core just doesn't have the power to deliver the FPS you want.

Those were the best days though.. I miss that thing... But I agree with everyone. It will just become too OP, and not to mention, I don't think there's a thermal attachment for an M4, nor are there thermal goggles. And I don't believe NVGs light up green..

I feel this could symbolize the true essence of DayZ. I can see the commercials... "BUY DAYZ TODAY! IT'S THE ONLY GAME WHERE YOU CAN ACTUALLY SHIT!"

For it to be realistic, there would have to be very obvious signs the player is alive, and then, players would learn to instantly spot the difference. Could be cool though.

It won't stop a bullet from today's weaponry.Trust me. Even if it did, you would have severe concussion, broken bones, etc, etc.

A stone or metal mask most likely won't stop a bullet. On the unlikely chance it stops a VERY low caliber bullet at a long range, you're still going to be fucked up beyond belief. I also wouldn't be willing to run around with a heavy piece of metal strapped to my face.

We're not ex-military, so tags are kind of unrealistic. Plus some of the stats would be a little unrealistic.

Zombies are sick humans. I don't see how it's possible for them to have a mutation that gives them super smell (not to mention all the zeds are covered in blood) I do like the blood trail idea however.

It's not like you can actually KO someone with a single punch in reality or anything...

Abandoned refugee centers would be sweet. Have them just crawling with zeds, but have them be wicked defends points with food, water, shelter, ammo, etc..

Does this all take place after the outbreak? Food can stay edible (a.k.a fresh) for quite some time.

I like number 2. However, I fail to see why people would want to look at their character offline. It just seems like a waste of time. And storing loot offline, just nooooooooooo.
