I am sure we all know how easy it is to make a potato gun in real life: Not only are potato guns awesome, but they are also no joke. Being hit with a spud launched from this device would be a horrific experience, at best.

High level RP things I want to do in BI games that will probably never happen: 1. Melee fighter competitive events with unarmed, machete, axe and freestyle competitions in DayZ 2. Traditional dueling for honor or sport 3. Be a bookmaker in Altis Life and take bets on real life sporting events. 4. Russian Roulette / Hostage Roulette

The New Patch For Experimental Has Come Out, Do You Like It?
autoloon replied to leefriendfield's topic in General Discussion
havent found any new gear yet but have noticed lots of really awesome problems have either been created or have returned after a couple of really good steps forward. Oh, Alpher... -
Players are more attached to loot then keeping character alive
autoloon replied to Pokerguy12's topic in General Discussion
RE: Loot I am interested in the following: 1. Gathering enough to sustain myself so that I can spend most of my time observing players while staying hidden. 2. Having no fewer than five loaded firearms on my person by the time I die, and enough ammunition and provisions to supply a small squad. This is because I hate killing scrubs and picking through their spare garbage so much that I make it a point to leave the corpse of a worthy adversary behind. 3. Finding the one book that best applies to my current life. -
i just played Experimental where this patch you are whining about exists... and it runs like shit and lots of old problems have returned and brought some friends along. shut the fuck up.

Seriously do something to the blood loss.......
autoloon replied to Zjasuu's topic in General Discussion
In DayZ, blood loss is an indicator of poor health. If losing blood, it is recommended to administer first aid. -
I'd still buy Dean a pint before any of you lot. In all seriousness, there are plenty of highly regarded people who have left unfinished works to start new projects. Notch, of course. JJ Abrams has pretty much bailed on everything he ever started and he gets to do Star Wars and Star Trek. It's not an uncommon thing...And from gleaning as much as I have from Dean's personality, I think his self-criticisms are humbly spot on and the claims of vanity and egomania are fairly heavy handed. At a certain point I have to agree the game might benefit without his waterspout of ideas and concepts.

I decided to make a total commitment not to KoS at all on my new life in experimental. Here is how that went: I spawned in Solnichniy, waved in friendship to a fellow survivor inside a brick building. He does F2 and I leave him to his work. Traveled inland, most small towns fully looted. Find crowbar and then axe, various ammunition, and ultimately a little girl backpack and some books. I reach Berezino and fill up at the nearest well. By now I am very hungry and have not yet found any food. I venture into town, finding nothing but a few empty cans of food and drink along the way. The following day, I am very hungry and the urgency of my situation starts to sink in. I begin clearing Berezino house by house, searching high and low. Outside of the first house I searched is a fellow survivor. He has a helmet but otherwise looks like he has nothing much. I didn't decide to attack him, but I realized my wood axe had just connected with his left shoulder. Bleeding, the man runs and I give chase briefly before deciding instead to slowly track him and conserve my energy. House by house I search and find nothing. In a piano lounge another survivor startles me at the bottom of the stairs. With one swing his body meets the floor. Nothing but a few rags to take off him. I can feel bile at the back of my throat. What have I become? "I am dying of starvation," I think to myself. The search took an hour and sure enough, I reunited with my hunt at a gas station in the north east end of the city. He didn't fight me. He didn't say anything. He just made peace with the world and himself, and ran circles around the gas pumps, signifying the circle of life. And then he was hacked by an axe murderer. "I am dying of starvation." "I feel nauseous." I lost consciousness minutes later while searching for berries in a small clearing not far from the gas station. The blood on the axe had not yet dried. Two men lost their lives so that I could survive, but I just fell over and died.

I am interested in seeing more advanced weapons that come with harsh and unforgiving consequences. I expect to see $20,000 rifles become an albatross around the player's neck, requiring many rare pristine modular parts to even approach adequacy. I basically want to see a culture develop where most players will simply leave high tech military weapons on the ground for lack of desire to be committed in their upkeep.

I play very carefully so I find that if someone shoots me before I see them, they are: 1. skilled 2. using a scoped Mosin 3. not missing not much one can do about that in normal circumstances.

I don't always KoS, but when I do I feel appropriately guilty about it.

Is it better to travel with your gun in your hands or on your back?
autoloon replied to omgwtfbbq (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
I have a weapon on my back and a weapon in my hand. -
Pending Changelog: Experimental branch: 0.34.XXXXX

I think team sports should be implemented as a means of combating KoS and increasing sports gambling related gun violence. -

I remember when all the bitches thought it was offensive that Rocket was having Christmas dinner instead of full steam development for DayZ. Enjoy hindsight, guys. -
Wow lots of dumb words. Worst topic ever possibly. Good job.
