FYI: im a verteran to this game and at night time when i hear things my hair stands straight up. Thats exactly what the developers want, you would be freaked out if you played nomalisk on the mod where random childrens laughter would just come out of no where hahahahahaha... hope you got over this and were able to log into other servers!!

I do not get all these people who get the burlap sack stuck on their heads ??? I put one on my head yesterday (after the new update) and my screen went completely black.... I then paniced and had my two friends try and help and they could not do anything for me. I then opened up my inventory and I was able to right click on the burlap sack and remove it from my head. Then i was able to see again.

I would never avenge someone i dont know or play with, especially if its in a highly populated server. If I was playing with any of my team mates though and that had happened I would most certainly avenge his death... It all depends but on a complete stranger, playing for 15 hours, and have great gear i wouldnt of done that... Only way I would of done that in your case was if i was within 20mm of the bandit. but your a good soul and what keeps dayz fun... cheers mate!!

you need to just look for a NO KOS server or friendly server... There are tons of them but just as an FYI dont trust it completely, i have been killed in friendly servers so dont let your guard down EVER in dayz. I would take the 2nd responses's advice.... Just avoid, watch, stalk, learn, and act accordingly.

HAHAHAHAHAHA I LOVE THE RESPONSE WITH THE BAMBI PICTURE!! First rule of dayz that i learned in the mod over a 2 years ago is DO NOT get attached to your gear in dayz. This game tries to mimic a real life zombie apocolypse, so if you die your not going to respawn in a different area of the map with your gear. That would make the game even more worse with all these combat loggers (which has been fixed now, somewhat).

p.s: Text chat, does this work in the same way as voice? Only people within a certain radius can read it? Yes it is the same. I am sorry you are having issues finding just the basics to survive on a server but like many people have said here, you could be joining already looted servers and your just having bad luck doing so. wish ya the best of luck and if you would like im always looking for new people to play with on my team... Its to prevent against server hopping and combat logging... You can join up to 2 servers without any delay and not staying in for the full 30 minutes. After the second server the timeout rules apply to all. no matter if the server is empty and you just want to go to a more populate server... REMEMBER !!! LOG OUT IN SAFE AREAS NOW !!!

Thats a horrible thing to do and people like you. I hope someone killed you and looted all your stuff or the admin took care of it.

On my server I have 2 heli crashes spawn every hour. They still work and there are no bugs. Let me know if you need help. If so PM me and i am willing to help you out.

My brother and I started a new server on the Lingor Map with custom scripts. Server has been up now for about 5 days and we have about 13 active players on this server currently. We want to advertise on this form to get more people to play in our server and help us grow our server to be an extremely fun and competitive server. Our Server name is: The Fun House Server IP and port: 173.193.205.66 :: 3221 A list of our server scripts are as follows: Custom Load Out Self-blood bagging remove vehicle parts extra vehicles extra heli crashes (for loot) siphon gas low fog custom weapon 24/7 day time debug monitor NEW PLAYERS: if you are new to DayZ and want to learn the ropes and understand the game and how to survive an admin will walk you through some stuff and assist you building your character and finding loot. We encourage all new players to play in our server and reach out to any admin in our server. We are looking just for mature players to play on our server. There are no restriction as far as what can and can not be done. Obviously if you are hacking you will be banned without question and the server is closely monitored even when admins arent active in the server. If you want to come to the server just to build and awesome base and loot you are more than welcomed to, if you want to come in a hunt people you are welcomed to, if you want to have clan wars you are more than welcomed to, we just want to have fun with this server and let it grow. We are going to keep the server running for the whole entire summer and after that if we do not have a strong player base we will shut it down but we are going to give it a solid 3 months to build the base. Hopefully that doesnt even become a question after a month from now. ALL OF OUR SCRIPTS will be finished by 5/27/2013. Only scripts we are having trouble with is the siphon of gas as of now. everything else is up and working fine.
