I'm a laid back guy who really dislikes people. Ill be enlisting in the US Army National Guard soon for the MOS 94-Echo. I don't like people wasting my time.
  1. Its been patched twice and every time its patched a new artifact causing bug is introduced. Who is even making the patches? Is anyone around here software competent? *eye roll*
  2. I have the latest drivers. I now am getting them again. We all have our drivers up to date. Its a software issue caused by the game. That much is blatantly obvious.
  3. So we have a few regulars on our server that are telling us that they are getting artifacts around tank traps. This only happens around tank traps. We are running the latest DayZ version (1.7.6.1) and the latest AO beta patch. All the "fixes" I have provided them are not working and so far it appears to be a game problem that can be patched out like the previous artifacting issues with dead soldiers and barbed wire fences. But now tank traps are causing problems. I too had artifacting but only after I overclocked my Nvidia GTX 560 Ti Superclocked from its stock clock (900Mhz) to anything higher (Battlefield 3 also has this issue with overclocked cards). None of these guys have their cards overclocked and none of the so called "fixes" are working. I don't know what to tell them other then to restart their clients or we restart our server. Is there any information regarding the next patch and fixes to artifacting? And if anyone tells me this has been patched I will slap your children(kidding) because its obviously not.
  4. I figured it out. Turned out to be a PEBKAC problem. After installing any Arma 2 DLC you MUST install the beta patches again so that the DLC server keys are added to your keys folders. Thanks for the suggestions though mullraugh
  5. I did do that. Im not sure why it says the server key is not accepted. I use the OA launcher since our server got messed up after we did a full re-install of it and now it wont show on PlayWithSix or DayZ Commander as the correct version. Ill try again I guess. Maybe you should try joining it. Go into the DayZ main menu via the OA launcher and go to filter and search "colony". Its the only server that will show. You try to join it.
  6. So I have been playing DayZ on a friends server for about a week now. I got sick of low textures on camo type clothing and bought and installed British Armed Forces. Now I cannot join his server because it says I have an unsupported server key. He runs the server from a personal box and that box has only the Lite versions of PMC and BAF installed. I have the full versions of both. PMC did not give me this problem but BAF is. Anyway I can give him my key file or is there any way to get around this? Thanks.

When are the artifacts going to be fixed?

I had artifacts caused by Tank Traps. This only happened after I overclocked my graphics card (Nvdia GTX 560 Ti Superclocked) to anything above 900Mhz. Apparently DayZ and Battlefield 3 both hate overclocked graphics cards. Id suggest that anyone with this issue to make sure your cards are at their default clocks while playing. Plenty of other players I play with are getting them though so Im not sure why some people get them and some dont.
  8. This only happened to me with Tank Traps after I overclocked my EVGA GTX 560 Ti to 995Mhz (Default clock speed is 900). Apparently Arma does not like overclocked graphics cards (Ditto for Battlefield 3). After I returned to stock clocks I stopped getting this issue.
