Yeah, I'm finding it pretty hard to understand that guide. Maybe I'll try read it again once I get a server. I also think I'll rent from DayZ.st because they seem to have the best prices.

Nice. I hate to admit it, but I'm no computer genius. Can I do these things easily by...Lets say, just typing something into chat like on a minecraft server? Or do I have to go messing around with files? And can I spawn in these things/change my skin regardless of the host?

1. Can you choose which gear all the players spawn with? (For example, can I have players spawn with a map and a tent if I want?) And is it easy to do this, or is it hard to set up? 2. Am I able to spawn in items/vehicles of my choice as an admin? I was thinking of spawning us in a helicopter so we can get around the server easily, and some guns and stuff. Can I do this? 3. Can I choose where certain items spawn, and the chance of them spawning in that location? Or is that beyond my power as an admin? 4. Can I disable certain zombie spawns? Lets say I wanted to clear Balota airstrip of zombie, and make sure they don't spawn there again, could I do that? 5. What is the minimum amount of player slots you can get on a PH server? I want this to be as cheap as possible. 6. As an admin, can I change my skin if I want? (As in, change my skin to bandit or hero without having to gain/lose the humanity?) 7. Lets say I can spawn in items, can I spawn some guns for my friends? 8. Can I whitelist a server? So only me and my friends can go on the server? 9. Can I disable PVP in certain areas? Notice: It may seem like I'm trying to cheat on this server, but I'm planning to have it open to only me and my friends, so don't worry about getting screwed over by over-powered admins, because, frankly, you probably won't find this server. And, thanks in advance to whoever answers these questions.

I have had DayZ for a little while now, and my brother recently bought it for his steam account. When he started playing (through DayZ commander, like I do) on the same server as me he started as a new spawn. However, when I launched the game through DayZ commander (with my steam account open and everything) I was in the same place my brother logged off on, with all his gear and everything. We both play the game on the same PC, so what I'm trying to say is: Can there be two different DayZ accounts on the one computer, so me and my brother can play the game on the same servers without messing with each others games?

I hear that you used to be able to play as a female survivor, but I don't see the option for it when making a player profile.

Oh so on one private hive server I might be a bandit but on another I might be a hero/survivor? Thanks.

I tried out a few different servers, and each time I try a new one I spawn in a completely different area with that servers starting gear. For example, If I log onto server A, and log off in Elektro, I will be a new spawn again in server B, in a new player spawn point, with none of my gear from server A, but instead the server's individual starting gear. However, when I log back onto server A, I'm back in Elektro with all the gear I got on server A. And then if I log onto server B again, I will have all the gear I found on server B and be in the same location I logged off in? Still with me? I see on wiki articles all the time about certain things that carry over from server to server, but nothing ever carries over for me, every time I log onto a new server it's as if I'm starting the game all over again. This is also the case for my friend. Could someone also explain to me if there is any point in creating more than one player profile other than giving yourself a new name and appearance?

I'll copy the story I wrote on one of my topics. After this even, I was bandit all the way. My story takes place in Kamyshovo, my home town. Me and my buddy have been camping there for the last few weeks, we have survived a very long time without much trouble. However, getting to Kamyshovo got us injured, and we spent a while killing animals and trying to gain more blood. One day we set off from our camp near the small pond to the east of Kamyshovo, and we saw a player with black clothes running through the town, I considered killing him, but my slightly more "humane" buddy decided against it. So we searched the town withouth coming into contact with the player, but as we set off towards home, with me in front and my buddy behind me, I heard four gunshots. I said "what was that, I heard gunsho-" but before I could finish my friend exclaimed that he was dead, I turned around and saw a player with black clothes (possibly the same one we saw earlier) reloading a makarov, and my buddy's corpse. I walked backwards a few steps and hid behind a tree, I fired a shot at the player with my Lee Enfield rifle before he could finish reloading, and then fired another shot. This next shot broke his leg, and he was on the ground. Before I could get any more shots on him, he fired and broke my leg with his makarov. I was now on the ground, too. We were both bleeding, and we both had a broken leg. The player then started rolling through the grass. I tried to fire more shots at him but they all missed, and then he settled in a patch of grass, making himself invisible to me. I presume he was trying to fix his broken leg, but I'm not sure. Anyways, I fired several shots into the patch of grass before using some Morphine, then I went over to make sure he was dead. He was. According to the death message, his name was Steve. After sending a few angry messages at Steve through side chat, I realised how F****** awesome it was to get back at that guy. In the end, my buddy found his way back to Kamyshovo, and everything has gotten back to normal. However, we now agree that we kill all players that enter Kamyshovo. So that is my story of revenge and our dramatic descent from two players trying to survive to heartless bandits.
