  1. Okay, well Jerry Cans take up 3 inventory slots. However I was able to put 11 (33 spaces) in our Huey (30 spaces). My question is, do things that count as more than 1 slot (Engine Parts, Tents, Jerry Cans etc) only count as 1 when placed in a vehicle?
  2. Throughout this thread I shall be making reference to this: http://dayzdb.com/map/ Okay, basically on this there are three types of value building for each type (low, medium, high) and I've seen it on other maps too. What does value indicate? Does it indicate the number of loot spawns in there or the probability of rarer items is increased? Then there is the droprates; on that map, if you click a building, it'll list it's loot types. Residential, industrial etc all share one loot table no matter what the value is. Listed for residential is Ghillie Suits; these have the same droprate as Camping Tents, Czech Packs, Camo Clothing, Winchester's & Crossbows in text, but in reality it seems very unlikely. After hours of searching the apartments in Cherno, I've probably seen around 7 Camo Clothing's, 8 Winchesters, 2 Crossbows and too many Czech Packs, with about 1 ghillie suit. Is it just bad luck or are ghillies actually more rare than the items listed above with the same droprate? Just looking for some clarification.
  3. Enlist for CF today: http://chernarussianfraternity.co.cc/index.php
  4. Protips: If you're picking up a new shiny gun to put in your bag, make sure there are 10 spaces + however many mags free. I reccommend putting ALL of your mags for both weapons in your active inventory so you don't have to worry about that shit. I keep 3 mags for each weapon in my inventory, with 3 medical supplies. When swapping weapons, I hit my backpack and hit the right arrow. Easily done, no worrying about having no space for the mags as they are all in my inventory. Nothing gets deleted, everyone is happy, everyone wins (except the guy I'm about to snipe). It's a bug, but it REALLY isn't that hard to work around it.
  5. Whenever I load a mission in Chernaraus, such as COOP armoury or preview a mission in the editor, it won't let me play. First I get this before the mission has finished loading: http://i.imgur.com/OXTof.jpg Once I click continue and get into the actual game, I get this: http://i.imgur.com/0szf3.jpg I'm unable to play or move or do anything. It really sucks. Any solutions? It also seems it has only happened 1.7.2.

    Arma II launcher issues

Not sure what your problem could be... I'll have a look around.
  7. Logging in down at NEA, we spotted a beige truck down at the ATC tower. I got down to it and geared it, and this is pretty much what was inside: http://imgur.com/qinrI,l496X,mE3Nf Loads and loads and loads of mags. Seems very odd, and I'm not sure if it was hacked or if it's safe to take anything out. We used the truck as we guessed there is no harm in that, we don't think it's spawned but the items look like they are (They have icons, I heard hacked items don't?). We haven't taken anything and won't if they turn out to be hacked items. We've only used the truck to drive around which seems legit. On another note, the server we are on has terrible FPS (Around 10, I avg about 40 normally) and my friend said he saw corpses in the debug forest when logging in.

    Red 'FUEL' in a bus

Forgot that fuel tank parts even existed. Cheers! Even though the bus just randomly burst into flames as we drove along the road -.-
  9. Yeah, title pretty much says it. We've repaired it fully but where it says FUEL with all the other parts it is still red. I tried using scrap metal but it's still like it. I think it means there's a fuel leak. How to fix?
  10. Date/Time: Around midnight GMT What happened: I hit 'Respawn' instead of options and died. I was going to go back to loot my body but my body apparently instantly disappeared when I respawned. I know this isn't normal behaviour as people have respawned after death in front of me before and been able to come back and retrieve their stuff. Myne disappeared as soon as I logged back in. Where you were: Balota Airstrip, on the runway What you were doing: Just died. *Current installed version: 1.7.1.5/Beta 93965 *Server(s) you were on: Seattle 51 *Your system specs: N/A (Server related issue) *Timeline of events before/after error: N/A
  11. Downloading & Installing the Beta Patch 1. Download the beta patch of your choice from http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php 2. Use a program such as 7zip to extract the contents of the .zip to a folder, like so. 3. Open up ARMA2_OA_Build_.exe (With being replaced by patch number). Click 'Yes' when prompted. 4. Hit 'Yes' again, after the files have been extracted (If you're okay with it of course). Loading Arma II Beta Patch with DayZ 1. Download & Install ArmA II Game Launcher by SpiritedMachine here: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=8241&a=dl 2. Run & set-up your ArmA II & ArmA II: OA paths for the launcher. 3. Set up your options & groups in the launcher as seen in this video: 4. Make sure 'Game Version' is ArmA II - CO, and hit start game!

    DayZ Stories

The crew had agreed to meet up down at an old building site just out of Chernogorsk. Nobody knew what was going to happen next. I stood up on top of a large crane, keeping on lookout as one of my guys looted the joint. Maybe I didn't see him, maybe he just slipped out of my view, but it wasn't long before gunfire erupted. I looked down through the holes in the floor of the crane, trying to get a look at the assailant. I wasn't in shooting range of him and it was too late. Sorthy died. As the bandit moved up onto the body and began to loot it, I took point. Two shots from my Winchester quickly silenced the guy who just killed my friend. I moved down to loot, taking my buddies Remington. I slung it on my back and met up with Jack, and we began to move to the medical camp. We arrived and everything was going well. We got some much needed blood bags and morphine, and was about to leave when we got overran by the first wave of zombies. We sprinted out into the open, and a few shots quickly dispatched the attackers. We became detached by the adrenaline, and it was only as I just caught sight of my partner that I heard the distinctive and hard to hear sound of MP5 shots and a small whisk of smoke rising up from the pale green grass. I quickly took out my M1911, getting my second kill of the day. Haze was injured, but we used one of the blood bags we found & some painkillers to rectify the issues. We moved into a grassy compound and my friend began to loot the body when Makarov shots rang throughout the skies. I screamed for him to get up as I fired two rounds at pretty longe range from my shotgun, the only weapon I had handy in such a situation. He dropped to the floor; dead, I assumed, but I was wrong. A loud crack, like a whip, fills the air and my shoulder goes dead. I clutch at it, before reluctantly pulling my arm away and grasping my shotgun, sending two more pellets his way and putting him down for good. Some bandages heal my wound and morphine makes me forget my broken bones. We look around, grabbing as much loot as possible with the fact we don't have much time on our minds. Some meat, an MP5 and a lot of clips get thrown into our backpacks and Haze ditches his Czech for an ALICE pack. We wouldn't of guessed what happened next. I saw him go down in front of me, the sound of an M4 hitting right on target as he hit the floor with a thud. I jumped behind a wall, taking out my M1911 and taking him out with one shot to the head. I quickly looted the M4 and some mags, realising there was nothing else I could do, before I went on my way.
