  1. I got the same CPU as you do overclocked at 3.4 and a Radeon R9 270x, running DayZ with 15-25fps in cities (heavily depending on a lot of factors) and 30-60 in forests.. your GPU seems to be on the weak side (although as mentioned above, DayZ doesn't use much of that, I definitely had a boost when swapping out my 240gts for the r9 270x, on all games I play. However I would recommend instead of investing like 150$ on a gpu, go with a new cpu & mobo.. but I'm sure you can get better framerates with that cpu.

What town am I in? lol ^_^

I think it's Khelm, which is north of Berezino, altho there is a character missing on the sign if you compare it to dayzdb map.

Plan for release of 0.45 to Stable

You should've backed out after your previous comment, you only made a bigger fool out of yourself lol. Development is progressing quite well imo, the only thing I'm worried about is that they stayed loyal to Arma2 engine which has many hardcoded bugs (as well as amazing features ofc).. and each time they add or fix something, something else seems to break. It's just because the engine wasn't really made for it and they have to rewrite big chunks of it (as far as my coding knowledge goes). So I'm a bit worried about how this game will turn out to be half a year further from now. My biggest concern is how zombies still suck so I'm really looking forward to see the navmesh thing in action, can't have a zombie survival game without actual zombies in it lol.. worried/excited for that patch. I love DayZ because of the roleplay and the great community it has, the "realism" it has.. but it's been hard getting real life friends to play because they don't understand how good the engine is and how good the game is, all they see are broken zombies clipping throught walls & floors but not the things that are really good about this game.

    Your first kill

Have to be honest, I kill anyone when I feel threatened in one way or another. I'll try to avoid it but when I have no choice I pull the trigger. Yesterday North East airfield with a friend who's new to the game, we were in one of the hangars at nighttime (on some exp. server), I got lucky catching a glimpse of someone stalking us in the grass (he ducked as he spotted us, probably pissing his pants as much as we were lol). I gave him a long time to move on but he didn't, he kept down in the grass looking over (hardcore server), I managed to sneak out unnoticed and flanked him, as I didn't have a gun.. snuck up behind him and axed him, he didn't have anything on him except a chovel and some food, he probably was friendly.. but his long lurking presence seemed really fishy, I didn't want to take any risk, I thought he had a gun and was ready to shoot us, I would have tried to communicate if I were in a better position but we were stuck like rats in a cage. When you're friendly it doesn't mean you shouldn't be cautious, try to approach players in a safe way, don't stalk them etc.. it gets you killed.

    What to do with cheaters?

It's not hard to add nametags admins can view, I know this is not the priority at all right now, very understandable.. resources need to be on developing the game. But.. and this is a big BUT.. servers should not be sold to customers if they are >NOT< functioning properly, sounds like milking them out. Hey, I'm a DayZ fanboy tbf.. I'll be the first one to defend why zombies are still clipping throught walls since the mod but I'm not agreeing to this server thing.. people pay a lot of money for those and a functioning "kick" option shouldn't be too hard to ask for, else.. don't sell your servers. Just my 2 cents on this.
  6. I would love to agree but you're "fanboying" a bit too much here lol.. as much as I love DayZ, there are really a lot of gamebreaking bugs that have been there since the mod. Zombies acting retarded, impossible to hit.. bullets not registering or hitting invisible walls, clipping throught walls/ladders falling down.. teleporting back and forth.. zombies walking throught virtually anything. Getting a shot on someone close range usually gets you killed because of lag, he can put a round into you as well.. The game is very buggy and inconsistent. I've praised it non stop, you can check my forum posts.. but don't overly fanboy plx, there is a lot of stuff that HAS to be fixed and fanboying won't get you there. They want constructive critism, not you telling how playable the game is and bashing anyone who says otherwise. There are clearly bugs and core mechanics that need to be fixed and I think it'll be a tough task since a lot of it has to do with the crappy engine.. :/ but I have good hopes. Edit: Lol, didn't notice the date this was posted on.... sorry hadn't noticed someone dug this up today.
  7. I don't think activity is a problem, I mean.. I haven't touched DayZ since launch but I'm still checking forums almost daily. I'm just waiting for a release that is more "playable" (probably when they add bases/tents/bags you can hide that give you more of a purpose in the game). I'm sure theres thousands that don't play right now but are lurking around. I watch streams a lot tho but playing the game myself isn't that exciting atm. I'll be playing when it has all of the good stuff in. :P

Why is der a F****** hide body function!?!?!

Never really had an issue with this but I think having it so "hiding the body" takes like 30 seconds and you have to be out of combat would be a decent fix, for people that do have a problem with this. Also like the chovel idea. Or you could maybe make it so you can drag around the dead body (like you would with someone unconcious atm)

    Update Rev. 0.36.115535 (Experimental branch)

I should probably take a deep breath and relax but.. ARE YOU FUCKIN SERIOUS MATE? We've had updates every 2-3 days, now we have features rolling in every week, that is not slow.. and that is probably the fastest they can get them out there. If they were capable of dropping big game-changing updates every day, it wouldn't have taken a year to bring DayZ alpha out, which feels very similar to the mod except some graphic tweaks and some animations (and a lot of work under the hood, network bubble, rewriting of codes etc). If they were able to code at that speed, we wouldn't be in alpha at this point but enjoying a full developed game. You signed up for an alpha, which will be in alpha state for a year before it goes Beta, hell the game even blocks you from playing if you don't understand this common sense, why did you press "OK" on the red square? Did you read it at all?

    grr invisible walls..

I think your gun may have been zero'd wrongly and you're hitting the floor rather than an invisible wall, just a theory though. This hasn't happened to me, atleast not as extreme as in this video. :/

Night vision needs to be implemented ASAP

The only time you'd need a flashlight is when looting a building.. problem with that is the light shines throught walls, if that gets fixed.. and possibly a setting to block the light with your hand or something, like you would in real life to emit less light.. that'd be perfect I think.
  12. It wouldn't work because the world isn't everlasting and especially the good gear zones aren't (airfields, baracks).. but I'm guessing you mean some type of hungergames in DayZ? It's being done in the mod quite a lot.

PVE only server in Dayz sa list :o

Glad you shared that experience with us. (ps. report PvE servers, not that they shouldn't exist but they shouldn't be part of the global hive because of people like you going there for the easy loot)

HAHAHAHA Oh geez, look who's playing:

Why do we have a topic on this? People are allowed to have opinions (biased or not) but I never think it's a smart idea to blackmail/make fun of people publicly on a forum.. it's definitely not DayZ community stylish imo. And no, I do not enjoy WarZ or ever have, I just don't think it's right to make such a topic, it's not classy and I doubt Rocket would approve.
  15. Rocket stated a while ago the only reason we have 3RD is because real life eyesight is like 180 degrees, which you can't archieve in a firstperson game (unless you use three screens lol) I agree the game would be far more interesting with firstperson though, but you can't hate the game for having thirdperson. I lost the post Rocket made at that time, but it was very clear why we have thirdperson, he had many valid points in there.
