vehicles you want in the game
Richard III in Leicester replied to attano's topic in General Discussion
Yes just for the Saab lol - I drive a 93 turbo so would fecking love it if there was an old 900 in the game! Haahah ! Highly doubt it will happen tho and it may play havok with the game lore.... Are they found in fictional post-soviet Russian states? Lol -
vehicles you want in the game

No one has mentioned the 80s Mercs that are everywhere in the Eastern bloc. Old taxi versions of the C class could be found in cities maybe? Alongside the taxi Gaz that is already there as a wreck with loot spawns in it. -
Your experience in the north / east cost ?
Richard III in Leicester replied to TimM1983's topic in General Discussion
I've always thought they should implement a system whereby if you log out in combat your character still remains in the game world for another 30-90 seconds. Just stood there. That would make people a lot more likely to stay in! -

Yes Balota is the new deathmatch arena now lol. Pretty constant around there. Can agree with you, the North and East are quiet. Me and a buddy spent a day or two running from NWAF accross to Berezino and then North the the new shipwreck and back East from there... And so on. On a full server and haven't seen anyone. The cities (I think) are too laggy for a fair amount of players so even they are quiet too. Balota and the mid-Western side of the map seems to be where most people are. -
Security Vulnerabilities fixed by Patch #2 and Character wipe
Richard III in Leicester replied to rocket's topic in News & Announcements
My thoughts exact! I'm baffled by all the complaints. Not even a bump in the road is a great way to put it. How many times are we all gonna get kitted up and die anyway, respawn get kitted up and get murdered - respawn gear up and fall off a ladder? Etc etc and so on. Finding the gear in the first place is part of the fun. As the devs say, don't get attached to your kit in DayZ. Even if that wasn't the case they did the wipe for a good reason. End of story. Stop complaining. Stop crying over spilt milk. -
Color degradation from blood loss has to go (loss of visual fidelity)
Richard III in Leicester replied to alleycat's topic in General Discussion
Couldn't disagree more. It's a good feature of the sim, if you've been shot you're not gonna see the world in such a bright and colourful way dude. Yes the game looks great when you're healthy. Even more reason to stay healthy !- 172 replies

Are you getting hungry / thirsty too fast again? Here is why and how to solve this
Richard III in Leicester replied to nudelwalker's topic in General Discussion
Yes you're right, I usually spam drink water from the first pond/lake/tap i find until it says something like 'Your stomach is about to burst' and then you're good for water for a good while lol. Haven't seen a bad side effect of guzzling too much water at once yet.. Same goes for food, each bit seems to be a mouthful or so, so use it up and you stay fed for a while. -
Veteran Player's Feedback (18 Hours Deep)
Richard III in Leicester replied to 5P4RK4 (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
I completely agree and I'm glad to see a post like this. I was about to write something very similar myself. The text is just like Fallout 3 with the realism mods downloaded, FWE, realistic needs and whatnot. Please don't change it devs. I thought a bit in the diary that keeps a track of the current health & status could be a compromise, or the inventory icons like mentioned above. Or maybe there could be Recruit > Regular > Veteran servers like in the mod that have more HUD going on for the 'easier' servers to the non HUD-basic text we have at the moment in the Vet servers? I know where I'd be. Anyway I love everything about the standalone so far. Good work fellas. -

First player to play experience in SA?
Richard III in Leicester replied to T3hCr0w's topic in General Discussion
My first experience of SA; Spawned near Balota, made my way to the camp just south of the airstrip and proceeded to check every single tent (There's lots of them now!). Found all sorts, came out with plenty of gear and a selection of optics for my M4 and 3 mags ! ! Was well chuffed. Stalked across the East end of the airstrip and was gonna head North and away from dodge when I heard shots to my left. I stopped to take cover and saw two players running further down the strip towards the hangars. Left them to it but as I turned to carry on North I spotted someone else also kitted with a military outfit and M4. I waited, he approached, I took cover behind a tree. He kept on running at me, in the end I lost my nerve and fired towards him. He returned fire and hit me but then stopped. I backed off a ways and circled around. After a tense wait I thought he must be dead or has legged it. Went cautiously over towards the scramble but as I did two other players approached from the opposite side of the airstrip - where I'd just come from ! These again I left to it - and the possible corpse of the guy I'd just been in a fight with. I circled the airstrip again, and then came across the body of a player, completely looted. Thought to myself those two I just saw did this. I went back out and what do you know? They're there across from me - looting another corpse (possibly the corpse of the guy I fought with before). I lined up and shot one down where he knelt beside the corpse he was looting. His buddy was in a bush nearby. Firefight ensued and I must have took a hit because my gear was ruined afterwards but I took that guy down too. Now I had 3 corpses to go loot and replace (hopefully) the broken kit I now had. THEN whilst looting; 3 other guys, who seemed to all be strangers to each other, ran from different directions towards me. Maybe they thought I was a corpse as well because I was prone and still. They all decided the middle of the airstrip was a great place for a melee - to my amusement. After one of them pulled a gun and got the others down I scoped in on him and took him out as well. So many corpses now ! I filled my boots. And my pockets and my jacket and my backpack. Lol. Happy DayZ. Saw another player as I finally made my way north out of there and told him where to find the corpses that still had a lot of gear on them.. Made my way North feeling good and hopeful that I might survive long enough to fix my wounds ! -
