Update 113772 - Opening cans with sharp tools

Using the M91 Bayonet, dragging it over a can only allows for swapping, I'm trying to use it on 3 different cans of sardines.
  2. You misunderstood what I intended. I mean that you will not just suddenly know a persons nickname unless they reply to you in VoIP or Direct Text chat, since running into a random person you wouldn't instantly know their name. I'm saying have their nickname with a default "Survivor" unless they reply back to you. From then on you will be able to identify their name from a short distance away unless they do not have their face covered. Also I'm stating that the face(nickname) should only be recognizable at a very short distance, the only thing that would change the distance would be looking through the scope of a rifle or a pair of binoculars. I'd rather not have people identify me from 50m away even if it is faded. What I'm saying is that I would rather have the distance much shorter, if you don't know the person at the distance it will call them survivor if you do know them at the short distance it will call them by their nickname, a masked person hides their nickname, and you can only discover a persons nickname as long as you see their face else they will remain indicated as a survivor. Also has Rocket said anything about keeping all characters appearances the same inside the standalone with no customization? I'm not sure about you but I haven't read anything stating that.
  3. I love the idea, I only have a slight problem with seeing the nicknames. To make it authentic you should not know the persons nickname from a distance away, maybe if you are within 5-10 m it shows their name, but at a distance it will show "survivor" if they players face is not covered and just have nothing appear for bandits. Maybe only apply it for the "veteran/hardcore" players. The fact that you telepathically know a persons name at 5-10 m would still bother me, maybe have it only if you are within 5-10 m and you talk to them through voip/direct text and they reply back. Have different variations of text distances, whisper/talk/yell. These are just my thoughts.
  4. Well anyways after I logged in I was back with my Winchester.
  5. I want to make sure, because I don't want to get banned because of it. Earlier I ran into 2 people at the Cherno supermarket just after I had gotten an MP5 SD (forget the name, the silenced one though) and I encountered one player that shot at me so I killed him and was encountered over voice chat a person saying "Why did you kill him?" I replied "He shot first" and the guy said "I don't believe you." I was guessing he was a friend of the guy I just killed and was out to kill me so when I saw him turn the corner I shot him, nearly half a clip of the MP5 into his face (He was behind the counter and I was in the main part of the store). He ended up killing me with an M4 I believe it was. I don't know how he managed to survive those bullets to his face, I was about 4 feet away from him when I opened fire and I saw the blood on bullet impact. I'm not sure if it was the MP5 that was nerfed into oblivion or if it was lag or an invincibility hack but I strongly believe he should of died. Wish I was video capturing it. You can spawn in Novy Sobor, you spawn kind of under a house and have to roll to get out but it's possible and it's a pretty rare spawn.
  6. I'm unsure where I should post this, but I guess it's closest to Cheat Reporting. I forget what server I was on, but I've had trouble with getting loot and I died repeatedly. I spawned in Solnichniy and I ran to Berezino to hopefully turn my luck around. It wasn't until the second Supermarket was when I found a gun, it was a Winchester with a few 4 mags (or whatever they are called). I ran around Berezino quite a bit and I made two trips to the tents with high hopes that were dashed. I decided from the tents I will run into the supermarket with the 13 remaining rounds I had left and I would suicide by zombies in high hopes I would have a better spawn, maybe Novy Sobor. While I was making the short dash towards the supermarket, attempting to be as loud as possible while carrying my Winchester I abruptly stop and I start to put away my Winchester without doing anything and I take out a DMR. I kind of just stood there wondering "What the hell?" and a zombie comes running at me so I attempt to reload and I wasn't patient enough and I hit the scroll wheel on my mouse and selected an M9 SD that I didn't have before and I shot the two zombies down. I open up my pack (which was a Czech Pack) and I see that I have not only the DMR and the M9 SD but I have NVG, Rangefinder, almost every tool in the toolbelt, a coyote pack, and an M4A1 CCO SD (at least I think it was a CCO SD) in the pack among other items. I'm not sure if there is a bug where you get a loadout or if it was hacked in. I logged out right after I realized that I had all these items (it was just my first reaction). I'm posting this because I don't want to get banned for weapons that I have no explanation of how I obtained them aside from either a bug or a hacker. Could anyone give me insight to what I should do?

    Pending Hotfix: Build 1.7.1.2

Out of curiosity, will this also fix the server asking for Male or Female before the spawn?

    Hotfix Build 1.7.1.1 Rolling Update

Everything I attempt I end up stuck with a male character. I've tried clicking the button and navigating with the arrows keys, hoping it'd work but it doesn't.

    Hotfix Build 1.7.1.1 Rolling Update

I know this isn't an issue that really needs to be focused on, but I don't have a chance to select the gender before my character is actually loaded. I get the option to select the gender while at the point where I'm already in the game. I've selected female many times, I've selected female and disconnected and reconnected thinking it might change. I've also tried several servers yet by the time I get a chance to select it my character has already spawned. Anyone else having this trouble?

    Disconnecting to avoid death

I think leaving a a body behind is a bad idea, there is no chance of you being able to defend yourself even if you are in a safe place. Say I go log out in a small house, not being shot at or chased by zombies but a player sees me go into the house. I disconnect because it's a relatively safe place to log out since it's a house in the middle of nowhere. Now this player that saw me isn't friendly, so they start sneaking into the house with the intent to take my beans. As for me, I just disconnected and my body is remaining for a few seconds and the player turns the corner and puts 5 bullets in my head for good measure. How is that fair? When I can't defend myself because I'm not even playing my character. A time which delays you from being able to disconnect right away would be a much better option. Maybe if a person instantly logs out, make them loose blood, or make them get an infection. At least give the person a chance to defend themselves.
