    What mod is recommended?

    Yes, vanilla dayz is still good and more than enough people still playing. I occasionaly play dayz origins which is similar to vanilla except new vehicles, dif map and has base building. It's fairly good and usualy a few high pop servers at a time.

    Do you allow others to rob you?

    If I'm held at gunpoint by more then 1 person I will let them rob me. I got robbed the other day and they told me to drop everything I had. They only took my sewing kit and gun and gave me back everything else and told me to walk in a certain direction. It's good at times if you don't resist because that will reduce the KoS mentality and keep banditry real and original. ;)
  3. For the SA. Atleast until it is late in the game, private hives/and some mods have completely killed the original, vanilla dayz mod for me, and I'm sure it did for a lot of other people. Lets see one server.. 950 vehicles, 100 heli's, as50s extra barracks, generous starting loadouts, spawn with nightvision.. Self blood bag. Oh my god the self blood bag is on pretty much every server now. Thus defeating the purpose of hero's blood bagging other players -_-, and dumbing down teamwork.

    You're acting like the game was made in 2007 or something. Jesus. It was made last year. And DayZ is still alive and well, but just not vanilla dayz.

What does Dean mean? Players use Roadway and geometry. Roadway means where you walk, and geometry, are basically verticle objects, walls? If the players didn't use geometry, we, like the zombies, could walk through walls. Dean is keeping the zombies at roadway only, for performance.     I agree, vehicles are way too easy, no strategy with them really, just get in a repaired vehicle, and off you go.. Maybe it would be possible to find automatic cars, though? :P

    Hmm, I came to thinking, if zombies also used geometry, would they be equal fps droppers as players are ? A 50 player server is pretty performance demanding, but 3000 zombies or whatever the number is isn't really.

    Yeah, the zombies are still able to walk through walls, but there pathfinding won't let them.
  9. Breaking point did, but now overwatch. But overwatch owes breaking point a lot, overwatch is almost just a copy and paste of it. So I'm going to say Breaking point in honor of it's originality. B)

    My bad. But being a dev is certainly new to him. And I think not knowing the map is the experience of dayz, like Max said. Getting lost, surviving etc. I guess we'll still know the basics though. (How to get to elektro, etc.)

    I don't think a weekend release would be good. I mean, obviously, when an alpha game is released, it's going to be buggy - so rocket and his team would need to work on the weekend to fix these bugs. So hopefully we'll see it next week. ^_^
