Wanna know the best way to get the best loot in the game? Killing. Murdering. Betraying. You've read it right. Earn the basic loot of the game,make it to NW Airfield,enter a server with a shitload of people and find a lot of zombies and attract them all. Start shooting them,but make sure you're in a safe spot,which you can see the enemy entering (hangar,firestation). And then,kill it. Believe me,this worked for me. I finally got to the NW Airfield and checked the barracks,but it hadn't anything useful. Logged out and started playing again after a couple hours and in the same barrack I found a M16 with a grenade launcher and TONS of ammo. Looted the rest and stopped playing again. Next day,logged in with NOTHING but my inventory. My backpack,my guns and my equipment were GONE. And,since I got lucky,found an AK with only 1 mag. Since I considered myself already doomed,I decided to do something crazy,but fun and it actually could save my ass. Logged in a server with 45 people in it,attracted 30 zombies or more and started killing them in the firestation. Believe me,ran out of ammo but there was a M14 AIM with 2 mags (I'm pretty damn lucky,ain't I?). I shooted some more (and there was infinite hordes,cause all the shots were attracting more and more zeds) and then I saw a ghillie suit guy in the middle of the zeds,but in the corner of the back door of the firestation. He told me to drop my weapon.I only lay down,but didn't drop it. He said the same words again,and I ran upstairs and got to the roof exploiting a bug that causes you to get off the tower to the roof (no,i'm not a exploiter,i was just desperate) and got to the roof. He ran off the firestation because there were too much zeds and they all agro'ed on HIM. While he was running (still close to the firestation) I started to shoot him. Started to run low on ammo. He used a small car as cover and I couldn't land a shot on him. Suddenly,the tower exploded. I released he had put SATCHEL CHARGES before I was there. He was still hiding. But the zeds were all coming to him and he was shooting with his handgun to kill them. I saw a small part of his head,and shot him. My murder count increased. Killed most of the zombies nearby to him and got all the stuff I needed before more come. He had all the equipment of the game,rangefinder,AS50 with 8 mags,M9 SD with 8 mags,Coyote Backpack,NVGs,Satchel Charges,Ghillie... everything. I decided,since I was going to die someday,I head to Elektro (doing a small stop at Stary for some steak) to find my friend,and also doing some banditry (YES,I AM A BANDIT). Anyways,that's my best story I ever had in DayZ (and I didn't say the details of it...).

I was in Elektro at the firestation close to the market. I logged on the server and started loading DayZ. At the loading screen,when I got to "Setup completed,please wait",I suddenly saw the screen with "Wait for 5 seconds to respawn" and the impact and broken leg symbol showing up and at the chat it was showing "vanden (me) was killed by Cody (Friendly fire),but i didn't even log on yet. When I spawned,I was at the wilderness with a few survivors standing still,two laying down dead and my gear was empty. Tried logging on another server and spawned back at the coast. Can someone tell me what the hell happened?

So...basically,DayZ will exist on Arma 2,Arma 3 and on its own at the same time?

The bleeding should be improvised. If you've been hurt by a zombie,you should bleed then slowly start degraduating until it stops. If you don't put a bandage while bleeding,there's a chance you could get poisoned or infected and then your blood will degrade and maybe you will be more slower. Then you should get medicines at hospitals. There could be specific medicines for different types: Medicine for poison,for infection,etc. If you've been shot,you could have an haemorrhage,which would only stop if you bandage and maybe take a type of medicine.

Exactly,and it's also much better rewarding. You have a history of the servers you visited,you can enter servers your friends are on,you can toggle between day and night servers (works like 95% of the time). It's much better than Six Updater and you don't need to update your DayZ version nor Arma 2 version to use it.

I did not understand those instructions. Where can I access the main install directory of my game? And my Windows is 64-bit,does it have anything to do with it? Sorry for sounding like a newbie. How can I disable DayZ? sorry I sound like a complete newbie,but when I click it on ARMA 2: CO Expansions menu it won't let me disable. EDIT: Already found how to run Arma 2 and Arma 2 OA fine. You need to take out of your launch options the "-mod=@DayZ" from Arma 2 OA. So,basically,if you want to play Arma 2,you need to disable DayZ manually.

Delete your DayZ folder then torrent the 1.7.2.3 version at the version thread.

I'm sorry pal,but DayZ it's still being made and it will obviously contain bugs,even when the project of the standalone version is completed. Now,about the zombies. Learn the DayZ map and,if zombies start to chase you,go to either Cherno or Elektro (first you will need to understand the map) and just keep running to buildings until you can find one with a gun. If you start to bleed,hide in a building and bandage yourself. The zombies lose all their speed when inside a building,so he won't run at you (but he will walk slowly after you). And if you don't have patience you won't have fun at this game. And ignore the douchebags saying "Go back to COD" or "This is an alpha moron".

Thanks douchebag. Lost all my guns,lost my bag and my equipment due to a bug,but looks out my plan on starting to run and attract players worked out. I was at the barracks and picked up an AK with 1 mag. I thought one mag was enough to attract players and zombies so it worked out. Went to the firestation and was surprised to listen you telling me to drop my weapon. I lay down the gun but you wanted her dropped,right? So I decided it would be best to climb the firestation tower and then get to the roof,and I was surprised to see you put Satchel Charges at the tower. Too bad you had to escape the firestation because of the zombies. While you were running like a fag I was at the roof with my M14 shooting your ass,but the first shots missed and you got to hide in a destroyed car. If you didn't leave your head out I wouldn't kill you. Thanks for the AS50 with 8 mags,Coyote Backpack,Nightvision,Rangefinder,Ghillie Suit,Gps,almost all the equipment of the game and TONS of food and water.
