With this new update, I find the zombies have a tendency to swarm or mob (aka Left for Dead or Walking Dead) style when they hear gunfire. It's much more realistic and challenging. Also it makes you want to team up with someone. Going solo is almost guaranteed to get you infected and die off before you can get someone to give you a blood transfusion!

Yea they appeared to be mostly the super (viral?) zombies which is why I have an LMG to take care of them. If I don't have an LMG, I use full auto on my MP5 or M4/AK. If I try hit them with single shot, I find that I usually get infected before they die. Shooting full auto does waste ammo but its better than being infected and using my 1 only antibiotics!

I finally found an infected camp today after searching by air and vehicle. My buddy and I found it in the NE part of the map. Just posted a Youtube video of our discovery. 8) http://youtu.be/0r8CZgDslM0

So yea I finally found a kennel in a town near the NorthEast of the map. It was a German shepard. He attacks zombies and can find animals for you to hunt. Very cool!

The NPC's add a new element of danger to the map. You can't just go barrelling in with guns blazing unless you want a quick death! Instead it helps to have a team of your own to take them out. Oh I still haven't found a dog yet... 8(

The new features are awesome. Just found a soldier suit on a crashed heli tonight, looks pretty cool. also posted some videos of some of our recent server events. check them out here.

so the pre-alpha wont be available until at least after june according to an interview with dean. in the comments of that link, it also mentions Dean "Rocket" is leaving soon for his Mt Everest trip which he wont be back until June. Is it me or does this sound odd? I mean, i know people do take breaks when their developing a game but wtf "3 months?" just goes to show that Rocket really is a meglomaniac and will release the game when he's ready. im basically going to put off the SA from my list of anticipated games this year. 'nuff said.

Agreed. This is a nice, balanced server with a friendly community but as with all DayZ servers, watch your back! -Waylander the Trader
