Well, you are indeed right about the remoteexec.txt being reverted to an older version. I also made the changes manually so it is using the latest one available. I'm pretty much fed up with all this and Vilayer to be honest: earlier today I got an e-mail if I could explain why my server was changed to 64 slots? WTF? Seriously? I can't even change the smallest thing on the server but now they are 'implying' I changed the amount of slots available on the machine. I would suggest looking at your own doings before starting to point the finger at me. The server has been going in and out ever since. I gave them my piece of mind and if they don't fix it and supply me with an explanation of what happened to the server they can shove it. Not mad, but I pay for a service and they need to provide. If they don't or do it in an unreliable way I would be foolish to continue paying. -

I would like to know this also. I can't find any 'teleporting' script in the remoteexec.log and I'm sure there are players doing it. Anyone can tell me what entrie I should look for in the logs to catch a player who teleported himself? -

Any of you guys have checked their bans.txt lately? I am with Vilayer hosting and today we got advised to update the servers. Did that and upon checking the bans.txt I noticed the GUIDs that were banned from my server as I had caught them in my remoteexec.log we're missing. No big deal, I just add them again if needed. So I tried adding them but it seems the bans.txt won't save new entries you put in manually. I have tried adding the GUIDs through Arma2 RCon GUI and by manually editing the bans.txt file on the server >>> no dice. Are you fucking kidding me?! We can't add GUIDs manually? Or did I miss the memo? -

I'm with Vilayer also, but there is only a script_old.txt in the relevant folder. Editing that one won't do much good I guess. Also, there is no option to upload or rename anything in that folder.

LOL, thanks for proving my point. That whole remotexec.log you posted is one BIG pile-up of different hacks. #0 "[this] spawn BIS_Effects_AirDestruction" #0 "[this, 8.55896, 2331.58]spawn BIS_Effects_AirDestructionStage2" #0 "[this, 8.55896, 2331.58,false,true]spawn BIS_Effects_Burn" These are the only type of lines you should ignore in that log. All the others are bannable offenses. So I think you need start adding GUID bans to your list. -

Looks like that player spawned himself a chopper, tried flying it and failed and rashed the chopper. Ahh well, he enjoyed his chopper for almost 5 minutes. Oh trust me, that server seems infested with hackers. I would have a closer looks at those logs. Just yesterday I played 30 odd minutes on there and was confronted with at least 2 hackers. One had the name 'MaakMeKapot'...godmode, teleporting and maybe even vehicle spawning (chopper, not sure about it). Do you have the latest remoteexec.txt and did you look at your remotexec.log? -

All these suggestions are BS. Sorry, but it is the truth. I have exactly the same problem, but when I launch the game through STEAM using another (STEAM)key my character loads fine. However, if I try to play with another key I get stuck on 'setup complete'. Both times I'm using the same DayZ files/version, BETA and all that. Still, depending on which character I'm playing; one will get stuck and not pass 'setup complete' screen, and the other loads just fine. This makes me think it has something to do with your character's data / player id on the hive becomes corrupted or something, idk. It sucks though, as there is nothing you can really do to solve this it seems. -

100x this. Those circles have nothing to do with the directx> Don't believe me, try playing on a server with VETERAN /EXPERT settings. You will see -winxp doesn't cause those white dots. Also...the startup parameter -winxp can give you a serious fps boost, so you might want to try it out for that reason. -

yeah, too bad this doesn't get rid of tents for good. i have tried this a couple of times and each time it seems the tents just return with all the loot inside when te server restarts. I musy be doinitwrong. Anyone some tips on how to eliminate a tent so it doesn't return with everyting in it? -

This gives anyone who has it more or less control over your server. Oh, and apparently this issue has been known for over a year (ARMA 2 thingie) and easily avoidable. FFS I am actually starting to get fed up with this ACP crap day in day out. At least every couple of days it starts to bug out and has been for two weeks allready. They keep telling about migrating / using SAN to fix the issues. Thought they did it allready? But now this again. -

Lol...paved with zombies But you should really try to one shot as long as possible. This is the same for any gun. If you fire multiple shots in quick succession it wil attract a lot of zombies, but again this is the same for all weapons.
