  2. Your PMC/BAF DLC is causing the problem. My best guess would be for you to redownload/reinstall both DLCs and give it another go. Also make sure you download the update for both DLCs. When you download/install PMC/BAF it's an older version, you will need to download and run this patch once you installed the DLC (note:this will reset your ARMA 2 BETA PATCH to an older version, but it is needed to update your DLC! Afterwards you can update your ARMA 2 BETA PATCH to whatever evrsion you want to run) http://www.arma2.com...patch-1〈=en
  3. Any forseen date when the latest ARMA BETA patch will be available? We are one 97028 and the latest build is 97332 (3 updates up). Not sure what the latest stable one is.

  6. I did it on my server and I don't have a private hive server. Just changed the part of the servername 'hosted by..'. It took less than two minutes for gametracker to recognize it and register. Of course you need to have an account over at gametracker.

    You will need either PMC and BAF DLC (preferably both) for high res textures on clothing and guns. Has alwyas been like this.

    Guess you never spawned in the debug zone? On Chernarus it's common to see those boxes when you spawn in the debug plains (not sure if it depends on server settings).

    Yes, That is what i wanted to do but 'script restriction #41' can 't be pointing to that line because it is kicking players. Line 41 in scripts.txt has a 1 in front of it, meaning it only logs. The problem for me is reading the script.txt file, because with all the // lines I really can't find out which line is which. Strange that nobody else is experiencing this problem though. I must be doing something wrong

    Guys, anyone else having trouble using the later versions of scripts.txt. Everytime I use one of the versions found on http://code.google.c...se/#git/filters my server starts kicking all the players who are logged in with script restriction #41 and # 45. I am a bit lost because of all the entries. For instance the JIPrequest is logged now. But what does it mean when it shows?     What gave you that idea? I am far from angry and am quite happy that the publicvariable.txt was added because of the use of PV by scripters after the remoteexec got mainstream. I'm sorry but I fail to understand where in my post I gave you the impression of being angry or frustrated. I was just posting this and hoping we can share some knowledge on the subject and help eachother out as admins. I know my knowledge as far as knowing what to look for is quite small, so anyone with more knowledge might help. That is all I intended with this thread. That was really uncalled for!

    Is there a way to permanently destroy tents?

    I had two tents flattened by someone, and today after a scheduled server restart they were back, with everything in them. So, from my own experience flattening tents is not a sure way to get rid of them.
  17. Not necessarily. Could be just someone crashing his chopper. Mostly you will see also 'spawn_Bis_airdestruction lines with that one iirc

    There is a big chance that whenever the server restarts again your tents will be there. Happens sometimes; after server restart no tenst or vehicles spawn.

    Question about scripts.log

    Guys, I hope someone can help me or point me in the right direction how to read the actual scripts.log file. I admin a server through Vilayer host and within the control panel I can stream / download various log files. One of these is the scripts.log file. As I came to understand this is the file where BE writes to, right? Now, the file is really big (1.3 Gb) but the latest entries in the log file are from the last couple of days. I was looking through them and find all kinds of things are written but not all. My question would be; when does BE actually writes something to the scripts.log and do all the entries in there mean someone was being naughty / or trying to? One of the latest entries reads sleep 0.5; player setDamage 1; 0.1 fadeSound 0; _id = player spawn spawn 24.07.2012 22:51:58: XXXXer (XX.XXX.68.121:2374) 7ead31af23ded272af5e23188f0c16c6 - #27 awn player_alertZombies; sleep 0.5; or this one? _id = player spawn spawn 24.07.2012 22:33:01: XXXure (XX.XX.205.120:2304) 874eb2468a33294d5a265d4d4a792e55 - #27 1]; if (_ent isKindOf "Animal") then { _ent setDamage 1; } else { _ent setHit ["legs",1]; _ent setV What am I reading? Did this person tried to hack? Is it just a false positive? Any help would be much appreciated, before I start banning people that didn't deserve it :)
  20. Yes, that is basically the option you have (although you can not upload files). You can manually change the contents of the said flies and if you use DaRT http://dayzmod.com/f...hl__+dart +v0.4 it will allow you to execute 'reload events', 'reload scripts' and you won't need to restart the server for the changed files to take effect. Maybe your right that we shouldn't need to inform if new files are available, on the other hand SS has shown nothing but a cooperative attitude and will address issues if they arrise. p.s. there is also an additional option when renting a server from them which is called 'fully managed' iirc. That option will pretty much make them do all the updates and such for you, but reading your posts I'm thinking you like to manage stuff yourself. I haven't got the fully managed option but am struggeling to get BEC to actually work on my server. All I really want is for the scheduler to work so the restarts are announced. No dice sofar.

  22. Yes, you are able to update those files and they are implemented. The reason I asked about it is the fact that there is a new file available for logging due to the abuse of 'publicvariable' by scripts. This file, publicvariable.txt is not yet in the server files, but I bet it will be. SS will even allow you to add DayZAntiHax to your server http://code.google.c.../dayz-anti-hax/, try that over at Vilayer (lol)
