No game is ever going to be 100% secure, especially no popular game. Sure you can minimize exploits but somebody will always find another one. That's the joy of software.

Always use the sights/scope on the gun. The crosshairs can be misleading, especially at really close range and in third person. Make sure to lead moving targets and compensate for bullet drop. Try to see where your bullets are hitting and adjust your shots accordingly. When shooting at vehicles try to get a clear shot at the driver from the front or back of the vehicle so you don't have to worry about leading them as much. If you're shooting from the side aim for tires. When shooting at people I like to aim for the legs. Not only does this give you the chance of breaking their legs and slowing them down significantly, the recoil will generally bring your gun up to their chest or head and allow for nice follow-up shots. Playing Wasteland on normal Arma 2 is a good way to get familiar with different weapons. Just launch Operation Arrowhead and type Wasteland into the filter.

^This. I just like to collect gear. Most of the time I never even use the stuff I put into my tents, but I enjoy seeing all that good stuff piled up in one place. Also, it's nice to have a stash of stuff around because you never know when you might need it.

I like to have a full mag. It makes me feel better about possible engagements. I think its best to have as many rounds ready to go as fast as possible. Before mags could be combined I would swap out used mags for full ones first chance I had.

I engage everybody I see unless I know them or have some other type of arrangement setup with them. The type of gun they have generally doesn't matter to me, I engage everybody with a weapon. I will prioritize my targets based on their weapons and the situation though. If they're unarmed I'll break their legs, bandage them and run off laughing. I expect and generally encounter the same treatment from everybody else I come across.
