    Zeroing your rifle!

This is me explaining zeroing for rifles in ArmaII/Dayz, I was thinking where better of a place to get constructive criticism than the home of the pro's? Have a look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpPUW7JOOKU&feature=youtu.be

Why do you shoot unarmed players?

    Target practice.

    Guitars

I'd actually support seeing an acoustic guitar being added lol, basically just a dinner bell but still fun non the less.

    Servers

You found DayZ via frankie :P I know there's a server called "Noobs Playground", it's mixed, there's a team of guys who call themselves "The Whites" and they pretty much protect/help out new people and friendlies, but there are bandits on every server.
  6. A guy asked me if I wanted to team up, I said "Sure", 20 minutes later and I'm still using an M9 and he's had this AK74 for ages and refuses to shoot people, he'd rather hide. I offed him with my axe while he was looting.

    CZ 550

To add to this, ammo is basically non existent from my experience.

Is DayZ the funnest game ever created?

It's pretty fun with friends, I don't think it's the most fun of all yet.

    Help with recording Day Z

The 2 most used programs for recording are Fraps & DxTory, neither are free but are easily acquired. I'm not sure if fraps is compatible with windows 8 yet, when I was running windows 8 it worked, but wasn't "Optimal" at all so DxTory may be the viable option. Also, recording will depend on your PC specs as well, I've wanted to record DayZ for a very long time but haven't bothered because I know my CPU would just give up and die, you need a pretty beastly computer for it.
  10. A few weeks ago a friend and I were cruising along a treeline above Elektro (About 1km out) when we hear gunshots, both of us run towards a figure a bit ahead and jump into 2 separate trees about 400m between us, turns out a fellow bandit was trying to kill a friendly guy about 100m out, I was near the bandit so I say in direct "Yo dude, want help killing that guy?" he naturally says yes so we assist him and finish the friendly, I say "He might have had friends, run over to that pine tree to your north and scout west", the bandit runs over, goes prone and starts camping/scouting, I say to my friend on teamspeak "Let's kill him lol" I walk right up behind him and execute him like an animal. My finest hour as of late.
  11. I'm a big fan of any of the AK family, but my favorite "Weapon" when it comes to killing someone is a zombie. Walk right up to someone backwards whilst shooting the Lee Enfield into the sky, they'll have no idea what you're doing, then the horde comes...

    Lack of vanilla

I've been considering actually hosting a vanilla server, but I'm still not sure whether it's going to get enough attention to be worth €40 a month. I agree though, there definitely isn't enough with high populations.
  13. I totally read the title as "How do I turn on my fleshlight", was expecting an extremely awkward thread xD Well, I'll list them for ease: Flashlight: Open your inventory with 'G', right click the flashlight and select 'Remove from toolbelt' and make sure your sidearm slot is empty, the flashlight will move into the sidearm slot and then you press 'L' to switch it on. (It can be finicky sometimes so if it doesn't switch on, trying looking at the ground and pressing 'L'). Chemlights: If you have chemlights in your inventory, press 'F' to change your firing mode to 'Chemlight'. Fire: You need 2 of 3 things, an axe or a pile of logs and some matches. If you have an axe, use it to 'Harvest wood' from a tree, if you have logs, place them on the ground and use your matches with them. Hope I helped a little bit.

    Faster FPS on DayZ

There's alot of solutions (Gamebooster, ramdisk, editing .cfg files) but after about 5 months of playing, I think the only real way to get better performance is to get a better computer, at the moment. Standalone will be awesome in terms of CPU optimization + performance :D
