M9SD is a good choice if you sneak upon someone at the firestation and don't want to alert others. But useless if you prefer to ambush people from the roofs. 1911 - best weapon for close quarter PvP IMHO. Fast and deadly. Not as accurate as revolver (still very decent accuracy though) but much faster and one extra bullet in clip. Does it matter if you spent more ammo in fight? You are alive and your enemy is not. This is what matters in the end of the day. I go for a shottie (870 or something like that) if i have the chance but wasting primary for close quarter weapon not so wise. So 1911 all the way! Saved my arse countless times, killed many with it. Overall - good choice OP. Cheers.

Take PDW! Someone is always can use your gear when you die fighting with that useless gun. P.S. Point is - don't use PDW. Use it only if you have no other weapon. I better take Makarov than PDW if i have the choice.

Me and my buddies occupied NWAF. We just was running here and there, shooting zombies and looting buildings while 2 snipers covered us from both sides of the field and provided intel. Then loud shot thunders nearby and we all fall prone. Snorting laugh over voice chat: - Sorry guys, i can't resist it. Noone was there just it was so funny to see you all crawling in the dirt! Mwahaha *snort-snort*!!! We called our sniper names and stuff like that. But this what you get when you are a bandit in a team of bandits :D P.S. This was mostly "dry day" for me. I didn't killed anyone at NWAF then. Damn snipers took all my targets. Greedy bastards! :)

Yep. I mentioned that earlier. That's why i shoot even freshly spawned survivors. Not like i really into it, but if i have the chance - i do kill them. Sometimes even chase them. With an axe. What kind of fun is that when you spent few hours just to assemble the team and all your plans gone to waste by some stray guy with Lee? The guy that you are decided to spare? I mean come on! People wasted their free time just to play with you. They carried their virtual arses to the meeting point... and poof! Half of the team is dead, your car is blown, everyone throwing their shoes at you and not want to play anymore. Yes, this is just a game but time is precious. Especially if you are getting older. And yes. Lee is so Lee! This is perfect weapon that can even the chances. No matter how geared you are - Lee will get you down. Those freshly spawned newbs can rob you of everything in a matters of minutes :) Till they get into the first barn or anything like that. And this is why i don't afraid to loose even well geared character :) And might be the case for this camo guy that decided to heal you. He just get some other gear later so why bother? Got Lee (other weapon of choice)->Found "Friendlies in Cherno"->Got their gear->Headed to NWAF. There is no point in hoarding those rifles and stuff. You just wasting your time and not getting fun because of em. Enjoy keeping that "awesome rifle" and sitting in ambush all alone for days :D

Headed to Kamenka to pick up our car and assemble the team to the NWAF trip. Jeep was a bit scratched so we decided to go inside of the warehouse to check some wheels and parts. Was just 3 of us at the start, more joined later. Bizon SD, AKM and M14 AIM. All decently geared. Some guy walks to the warehouse we looting. We run outside to intercept - he just freshly spawned. No weapons or loot on him. He tells us that he is friendly and lay on the floor. Over voice chat: - Hey mate, you saw him first. Can you let me kill this dude? - Sure, i got few already. He's all yours. So i walk to a guy and put a hole in his head. He was able to run and we was busy enough to let him go. Loaded offroad car can't wait too long at the spawn area so we was in no position to linger with our trip. But he decided just to lay there and let us to choose his fate. That was plainly stupid in my perspective but it was his choice. We didn't lured him anywhere, we didn't told him that we was friendly. I hope that guy learned his lesson. But being greedy and break your own word... This is not something you can call "no way am I a douche when playing". How people can trust you after this? They saw it. And they know it. If they got something valuable they will be alerted - because you can kill them over it. In the end you just stab each other in the backs because your trust is broken by your own actions. This is not something you can call bandits, this is just some petty cutthroats. They can't band :D

Just search any reliable DayZ community on the net, use TS or any other voice comm and you should be fine. Well, if you up for an ambush instead... then depends :D

Okay. But back on the topic. Similar thing happened to me not so long ago. I was decently geared, had 5 kills and decided to check Green Mountain on my way to the NWAF. Then i see some newb with Lee in the nearby forest. I started to tail him, he suspects nothing. He just seated there to check the map. My clear shot window. I pull my PDW instead of winnie and go full auto. Missed 2 clips. Megafacepalm. Dude hit me with Lee. Somehow i'm still alive but all is almost white. I open my inventory while covering behind the tree and eat all of my meat. Then i start to bandage myself. Dude just _walk_ to my position and aim right at my head. Potion panic. Close inventory! Stop bandaging! Nooooo!!! I'm dead. What a shame. Can happen to everyone if you get too bold and careless.

Raided with team of 3 from Balota airfield to NWAF through towns. Ambushed few guys by the road, geared up with their AK and pack (One of them DCed out of combat :X). Found broken heli near NWAF, got my FN FAL and x2 camo, set up meeting with our sniper. Nearly killed him when he stumbled on us without warning, gave him extra camo. Then we split, shot some unlucky guy near hangars and stole his loot just for the note. Not like I realy wanted his loot (mostly crap anyway), just he was stranger and i didn't trusted him to let my guard down. So he died. Then we raided barracks and lost one of our own by the unknown shooter from the woods. Sadly we didn't seen the guy, had huge horde on our arses when we run to investigate. Nearly died fighting them in a ditch, managed to bandage myself at 400 blood. Thankfully we all had some blood on us and my buddy managed to get me on my feet really fast. Left airfield for good. Now heading to the coast with AKS74u (and 10 clips) in my pack. Gonna meet our fallen team mate and help him to gear up again before we raid NWAF next time. Sniper found some car by this time... donno what happened next. Oh. And we got our own server today.

Once i had fight at the NW airfield with DCer sniper. He tried to snipe me, missed and i got him while he decided to investigate the roof where i hid from him. Dude just DCed after i shot at him. I waited. He spawned back just fine, no bleeding but unconscious. I gave him painkillers, dragged his body back and forth, even carried him a bit. Then when he started to waking up... and i just shot him in the face. Like five times. That was a good laugh.

In Cherno with my newb fellow from our team. He's already managed to get some meds and Alice while I managed to get to him. He have only axe and I have shottie. We see some gal being eaten by zeds near hospital. Being gentlemen like we are we just killed zeds and my bud just chopped her to pieces. So I decided to loot her while he's gone to the roof to scout our way ahead. Then he screams "2 survivors! Other side of the building!". I respond "Where?". I look over the corner and see no one. My hands start shaking, my trigger finger is itching, and I’m all up for the kill. I repeat " Where?! Where?!". He says "Oh boy, we better avoid them! They all geared up!". My nerves didn't endure the torment and I yell "For the F*cks sake! Where?!! Go kill them already or they get us!!!". So my fella ready his axe and jumps off the building... /facepalm.jpg I looted his body and managed to save some of his gear for our next meet by the coast. But I felt a bit bad for being so mean on the newb guy.

Secure your turf, wait till your team arrive and let them loot it. Evac to the main camp. I see nothing wrong with it. Why let somebody you don't know to arm themselves?

7 days is my max so far. Died with that new superhearing and supersight zeds appearance. It was night; I was in Ghilie with g17 with light in hand and decided to check some stupid shack near Beresino. I crawled, aggroed horde, freaked out, got inside, hand my bones broken and was eaten since there was no exit. So long my AKS74u with 10 clips, lots of food, meds... So stupid death... I had everything and died for nothing. Had some time to adapt for new zed's behavior but now I almost beaten my record for kill streak at once. 1 vs 4 is my max so far. Did that twice. Now need to kill team of 5 :D

Good story. Things like that makes DayZ expirience so exciting and fresh :)

Dunno, last time i was tried to axe some freshly spawned dude with no weapon i heard insane heartbeat. He ran away though. I thought it was weird since that "bandit" was obviously freshly spawned with no gear at all. Blergh. I guess it is bugged/glitchy.

Already exist. If you are playing in a group you eventually step on your rivals shoes. Then things start to get funny. They raid our camps - we raid theirs. Sweet :)
