He didn't played OFP or ARMA I either. Same story. Hackfest was fixed only by private servers where you can play with people you know and trust. And can kick/ban players if they doing something that they should not. If you played on public servers by then - you agreed to play with hackers. Point is... Quite simply actually. Nobody going to play on the server where admin is a complete douche. And nobody going to play on server where hackers spoiling your every attempt to have fun. You just leave and not going back. I don't know why Rocket decided to avoid such policy and invent a wheel on his own.

Cheating AND exploits. No fun, ruin all game play... And I can't even ban cheaters myself. I need to film them with huge drop in fps and in rather dangerous situations. And fill ticket afterwards in hopes that someone will punish them... Nope, not possible. I guess I’ll have to wait a few months or a year for this mod to become finished enough. But oh well, I think I just forget about DayZ by then or get something else on my mind.

This mod is about freedom of choices. You just ended up on the wrong side of the boat as far as i can tell. People do team up and help each other but they are not complete strangers. Not anymore. This is about trust. You have to earn it now. It was easier before but now - no one will trust you until they know you.

Nah. Server restarts don't bring gear back. May be something like rage quit style restart but... it's no use really. And no. Vehicle in NWAF is a suicide too. Might as well park it at Stary. All I see that some well geared players decided to get some fun at Cherno and were shot by you. Oh well, such things happens :) It's not the gear that matters after all. There will be always that someone who will caught you off guard or just plainly better with guns than you. But hoarding stuff is boring so you will eventually end at Cherno. It's where the fun is. So your point about server restart sounds rather fishy to me. I'm not buying, sorry. But to each his own, after all it's you who was there. Not me.

Starter towns... action... Wow! Someone call Captain Obvious! We got a situation over here! P.S. Did you heard about scheduled restarts? Yep. Definitely whole world is against you. You are so important! And pickup truck is just two seats death wagon with big "Kill me please!" all over the white frame... Not the best choice to say the least. Do you really think that they would restart server just to get this piece of crap spawned at the last save point?

So today I found a newb on the beach at night. He tried to impersonate some sculpture at first, then go clever and did the prone thing. But when even this wasn't worked werll - he did a barrel roll! How brilliant! Nope. So here I am, sitting before him with AK74u pointed at his face. I was able to shoot him from afar, had friend with DMR who was able to pick him even further. So there was some obvious reason in this with him alive. No friendlies in Cherno, I know. But I had lots of beans and soda with me and I decided to share with a newb. May be even give him Makarov with no ammo in hopes to shoot each other later. But he logged. Okay... I know this game well. I know that this is bad to kill the newbs as my sniper fella mentioned. But it felt so wrong... Logging newbie. Oh well... So this dude logged back and I was waiting for him. He shat his pants and logged out again. Then logged back a bit further from the last spot. I shot few rounds just to scare him off so he logged again... And logged back. Eventually I got bored and killed the dude. He still managed to Alt+f4 in the end but he was dead already. What's wrong with this people? Is it hard to play fair? Is it so hard to grow a pair and didn't log out at the beach when you still don’t have anything to lose? Next time I’m gonna visit beach with a crowbar... Just to make this long and painful. And some decent weapon in my pack as a reward for those who have some balls and didn't log off at the first sight of danger.

Sad truth :( We cornered a guy in one of the houseblocks at Berezino. Forced him to hide in one fo the rooms. Stalemate... First to show in a doorway dies. So our fella decided to throw a grenade inside. I dashed down by the stairs safely and our partner didnt make it in time. Wasted by his own grenade. And the guy we fought with... He logged :( At least this story have a good ending :)

There was a lot topics and suggestions like this. But this is not the case. DayZ becoming known as a game where you can log off out of any trouble. So now we heave newbs who didn't know anything about the game. How to hide, how to react to strangers... But they know how to log off. This is the first thing what this one newb knew. And this is sad one...

You know what? Once I dropped bicycle it in the middle of the NWAF when my friend drove pickup truck there and we loaded it with ammo/weapons. We was ambushed... yeah, dumb. I know. But nowadays bandits are so pussies that they log when someone starts shooting. I swear I didn't knew where the shooter was but he logged and I managed to heal my friend in time... And we left NWAF with loot hastily. P.S. Yeah, given the chance... I'd steal it. Just shoot in the air and every dude with AS50 and NVG will log out anyway :D

Same. Last day zed pushed me at tank hedgehog for 9 and a half K blood. Was a good dinner time for Zed Commander with me bleeding, shocked and unconscious. Thankfully i had friends with me so i was saved just in time.

Yeah. I want them badly. I mean come on! I might be a bandit but at least I'm a civilized person so I’d like to thank people for loot in their tents and etc. And if person show's to be a reasonable one - I’d might even try to work something out. There's no point in robbing each other camps if they near and no one is willing to move... P.S. Oh! And fencing every building on the server with barbed wire is beyond annoying.
