Thank you for sharing. My advice to you - get a crew. It will be much easier to defend yourself if someone watch your back. And much more fun. Search forums, gaming communities that run servers. Introduce yourself, tell people that you new to the game and want to play in a team to learn the ropes and have some fun. Someone might deny your request but don't you worry, there's a lot of people in search of a good company to play with. Especially after Standalone release. I wish you luck :)

Why do you need to enforce specific ways to play the game?

Sad part here is that freshly spawned guy didn't get the loot. He got you fair and square, but yeah... You should be able to cancel you action. Even if you lose some stuff in the process.

To knock down just one. But to completely render someone unconscious? I guess a lot. But fists works magic, as any other weapon does. Headshots rule and since standing up animation every time the same... There's no actual chance for a guy who fell to stand and live. If you do everything right and noone interfere that is :) Just hit him while he tries to stand up and hit exactly in the head again once he stand straight. In that very second and not the second earlier or late. He will fall again. Then keep hitting him untill he dead or better switch to something other than fist and finish him off faster. P.S. Use first person if you ambush someone to make precise strike in the head. 3d person are hard to do so. You are more mobile and see more around you but hitting someone in the head from 3d person perspective is mostly matter of luck.

No evidence, can't name a server, trying to tie me to a story that _might_ happened to you and your buddy just because something in my story matched yours. I get it. You mad because of loggers and it's going to continue quite a while untill it get's patched out. Alpha. Believe me, I don't like loggers too. I just try to keep calm about it without accusing first person I met on the forum :) All I wanted to say that I like how fist fight was implemented. It leads to rather interesting encounters.

Eat and drink plenty and you should be fine. Do not drink dirty water and do not eat rotten food. No issues so far on my end.

I do agree that hitting someone elses backpack with a bat should get loot damaged as well. But it feels like some stuff are made out of glass... Items degrade way too fast now. It's not that all entertaining nor fun.

I'm intrigued. How would you stop people from suicide or logging during that performance? In all my encounters only person who actually wanted to interact was some "guy" with chil'd voice. Who begged on the verge of crying not to shot him because he collected his gear more than two hours. Our group felt so unsettled and disturbed so we gave him almost everything we had and moved on. And that's it... No interaction whatsoever in my whole expirience of DayZ mod. People log or shoot, nobody risk to do anything else. Most creative thing I expirienced in DayZ mod was community wars. Now that was a blast! Raiding camps and all out wars during holidays and friendly collaboration in preparation during workdays evenings :)

What DayZ taught me as a bandit - don't get attached to gear. If you are bandit then you are ready to die a lot. Take only what you need, what is essential. Because greed kills. Too much time over fallen enemy and you are dead. So yeah, I played as a bandit mostly for PvP sake alone. Cherno and NWAF? It was a best places in the mod for me because people knew where they headed to and what to expect. Paying for fun is one thing, but being partypooper is another. Even if you are a bandit. And who will fight you anyway if you always kill everyone without letting players to properly gear up first? You will end up sitting alone in empty server or serverjumping. And both equally sucks. I guess people upset about KOS because they want to socialize but they can't. And its not a bandit's fault. Go find your own group, join gaming community and earn your reputation as dependable person. Not as ingame character. Expecting friendly welcome from a complete stranger in a game like DayZ is just plainly naive IMHO.

Had cool duel bat Vs axe in Kamenka just after spawn, then ran to Balota and lot's of action there, but managed to run away unhurt. Killed some dude in Cherno firestation afterwards. 4 hours of playing. Now sitting above Electro with scoped Mosin :lol:

Shoot? Then chase their friends and send them to Gulag in a boxes? Well, works for me. Actually this pounding heart feeling keeps me playing and killing other players. Not so exciting with unarmed players though so unless they stick around my turf I prefer to let them go. And If they do stick around then I prefer to kill for safety reasons. I don't need no hatchet in my skull while I loot something and I don't need no explanations either. And If they care to come closer just to chat - they willing to take risk and die. Fair deal I guess, happy to oblige. P.S. Playing in a team from time to time (If there's enough foes for us to gather). Killed eachother plenty of times due to bad communication. Now it get better. Practice does matter :)

Not playing DayZ for a while now. Hope they fix this along with other bugs, exploits and cheats. Give it some time i guess :) Here something to cheer up.

Sorry mate, mod is in alpha state. Sometimes after restart all tents and vehicles suddenly vanish and we need to restart it few times more to get them all back. I wish things were different... Let's just wait till it's all get polished. P.S. Normally I warn players before restart but after new patch Battleye doesn't like me anymore and kicking me out if I try to log in as admin in game. Glad that you decided to play on LU39, feel free to PM me or contact any 30+/- members if you experiencing any issues. Not all of them speak English though, but most do.

How about shocked state for a few minutes after you fired your gun? They can fix it. But so far they did not. Better let people dupe, hack and logging out. No point in crying about that. Their mod - their rules.

Abusing private servers by admins... Riiight. I mean come on! You know that this server is sh*t when admin team took all the vehicles and looted all your tents just by reading logs. If you found such server you just don't go there anymore. And this can happen on public servers NOW and before. As an admin I can read logs you know. I know what gear you carry in inventory and where do you hide your possessions. But if I want to have fun and have no ego issues - I will let you have your vehicles and your tents untouched. And try to ensure that no hacker will spoil your fun. Because it's not fun to play alone or beat some unarmed players. I want you to gear up and meet me at Cherno so we can shoot each other and have some fun after work. I want you to raid our fully stocked tent, steal our stuff, our cars... so we can chase you later and have even more fun! You don't realize what kind of bloodbath we had on our server when someone found our main tent city with huge stockpile of weapons (2 weeks of gathering by the team of 10-15 players online every evening). Now we have clan wars. I don't know these guys but they are at each other’s throats because of our stash. Battle raging third day already, they killing each other like crazy and our old camp is filled with dead bodies. Now THIS is fun. Somehow they play when we are going to sleep but I’m eager to meet them. And I'm really happy that they play on our server now. This is the best reward I ever had in DayZ.

Sorry mate but this bullshit out of someone's mouth. Try to think on your own. I play on public server and half of people there know each other. With some effort we can fill whole server with our ranks so this is not the case. We work together, help each other and kill any others on sight. Private servers don't break DayZ nor do team play. Who told you that DayZ is solo game? You assumed this because you like to play alone? Fine by me but don't tell people that this is the way this mod supposed be played. So far only hacking and exploits ruin the game for me.

Last day we killed few hackers with thermal scoped AS50. They got back in a minute in greater numbers and started pure onslaught in Cherno. But frankly I’m bored and see no use to protest anymore. Nobody cares, why bother? I can't even kick or ban them. I need to have proof that they spoiled my game. Their credit card number, their mothers middle name and of course a hackers blood sample. will describe my position perfectly.
