Fraps. The demo version can display your fps while in-game.

Alpher. Wait for it. Something will happen. Eventually. It's still under development. Cars, wildlife and crafting will most likely be implemented sometimes next year.

I get 60 fps. On a laptop. Deal with it. i7 3630 QM GTX 675mX 8 GB RAM 250 GB SSD When I started playing I had horrible FPS too. Then i found a guide which helped me a lot. I know it looks weird, but I can't fix it to make it look better. Go to Documents > DayZ and open DayZ.cfg in Notepad. ChangeGPU_MaxFramesAhead and GPU_DetectedFramesAhead to = 1. Try disabling Ambient occlusion.

I only read until you wrote about nuclear weapons. If they had used an atomic bomb on Chernarus, nothing had been left. They did not use nuclear weapons. -

Welcome. Yes, when the game is installed from Steam, you can play it right away. When you enter the game, press "change server", and be sure to then press the "internet" button in the top left. This will make sure you can see all of the servers. It is defaulted to only search for LAN servers for some reason.

Just buy it. It's a lot cheaper now. Once it enters Beta, it will get more expensive.

As far as I know there is one for the mod which should be carried over to the Standalone. I'm not sure though. Don't ask me for a source :D

They spawn in houses. The pots spawn on stoves.
