Sneak around to avoid zeds. Easy as that. If they spot you anyway, you can kill them with your fists without being hit. Run in circles around them and beat them to shit. It will take quite a lot of hits before they go down, but they will go down eventually.

Servers don't show timezones right now. They do show country codes though. Most European servers go dark around 16:00. I've seen a Norwegian server which is pretty popular. You can search for it. It's called something with "Norsk".

Operation Arrowhead is needed to play DayZ :) So yeah, I would recommend it :D

I hate to say it, but I do use DayZDB. I don't use it for the loot spots, only to find my way around. -

To answer the title: Yes they are. One cannot kill fresh spawns without being a combat logging noob. -

Just ESC+ALT+F4. This can of course only be done until combat logging gets fixed.

Nah, hackers didn't ruin the mod. There were some hackers, but I've never, in my 500+ hours of playing, encountered more than one hacker. Yeah, ONE. I also haven't met a single hacker in the SA yet.

I don't think it is legal to buy or own weapons in Czech Republic. That'll be the reason there are no gun stores.
