If you really hate running around you shouldn't be playing DayZ. The essence of DayZ is running around just to loot, die and start over. God, I hope the config will be as simple as the one Lady Kyrah suggested.

It'll be the best feeling ever everytime you figure something new out. Ooor, you could search for some guides. Some of the guides out there are really good for new players like you.

Like Darryl, I think the game will never be finished. They will continue developing until they finally abandon it and start a new project.

Bah, it is a game after all. There won't be a lot of players left if we can't use TS, Skype or whatever people are using. I know I would stop playing it. I also think the people who want it gone are the ones who play alone. They don't know how fun it is talking to your friends while playing. Running along the shores without anyone to talk to would be sooooo boring..

Awesome guide, even though it confused me a bit. I'm running a i7 quad core CPU. Two of the cores are parked, but not greyed out. Will this still work for me? Edit: I read it again. I think I understand it now...

It is against the rules to enforce a no KoS rule on your server. Also, I don't think you can set up a DayZ LAN server right now.

Last time I checked, alcohol tincture was alcohol... There is alcohol in-game.
