Because no one plays with their friends anyway. Because it's not just a game. It has to be as realistic as possible. I've heard of this rule. It doesn't need to be in DayZ. Not a lot of people survive for three weeks of gametime. 7*3*24=504. That's 504 hours in game before you would die of starvation. Everyone would be looking for guns and start deathmatching only to stop after 72 hours when they need water...

You can't get your gear back. Admins can't do it, and even if they could, I'm sure it wouldn't be allowed on the public hive. There's nothing you can do to get your old gear back. Better start looting again. -

If you really hate running around you shouldn't be playing DayZ. The essence of DayZ is running around just to loot, die and start over. God, I hope the config will be as simple as the one Lady Kyrah suggested. -

1. It's a huuuuuge glitch. They're working on it :) 2. Nope. They're trying to make the game as barebones as possibly. 3. Either just play the game without guides. It'll be the best feeling ever everytime you figure something new out. Ooor, you could search for some guides. Some of the guides out there are really good for new players like you.

Like Darryl, I think the game will never be finished. They will continue developing until they finally abandon it and start a new project.
