You have nothing to fear if they add helicopters to sa. Dayz sa is built on the take on helicopter engine so the rendering of trees from the sky wont be stupid and blank were you can see the whole forest floor like the mod.

More animals that react to players behavior

Well dayz is set in the Czech republic so I don't think you will be seeing any mountain lions there as the devs want the game to be as authentic as possible. But any way I agree they needs to be smarter animals and dangerous ones too. Like if you think about it dayz is a survival game in I believe a country with a abundance of large animals right and if you watch any documentary or tv show that has anything to do with man in the wild like Yukon men or bear grylls they all have to interact with animals for food or danger even assistance, like I even saw bear grylls try to tame a fucking wild horse before with some vines so he could get from point A to B faster lol. So I believe having no animals in dayz wouldn't affect the game so much in a negative way since its main focus is zombies but my god it would be disappointing as I think a majority of people who play dayz don't care so much about the zombies but there the best reason for a hardcore survival game to ecoure and appeal to a mass audience and so the devs can make profit as zombie games since they sell like hotcakes and also have a reason to survive. like when I first played dayz I couldn't give a shit about the zombies I thought it was cool as hell to find tents, commoed clothing, maps, compasses and that you could die from thirst and hunger and get lost in the huge map with weapons with zeroing and realistic bullet drops and that 1 bullet could end my life if I was hit in the right place it was fucking awesome! But ofc it got stale because there wasn't enough to do in terms of challenge trekking about in the forests. I think after that zombie AI and base building has some features they should focus more on animals and try to do something that has never been done before in a game something NEXT GEN, I made a post ages ago called clever animals just suggesting some new features for animals i have never seen in a game before which I think if it intertwined with dayz could be amazing for those people interested in more survival then banditry imo here is a link to it. http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/127772-clever-animals/ -

Rocket has said that there is a deer in the game but that looks like all were going to get. I remember watching a interview he did and someone asked if there will be dangerous wildlife in dayz, Then he said he would have to pay a company like 1 million dollars I think to do decent animations on wolfs and bears and horses then he said zombies are priority and that he will focus on 1 system at a time. and I bet wildlife Is way down on that list for things to do due to game devs think it never sells games and ethier make half arsed jobs on it like gta 5 farcry 3.

I would love to see dangerous wildlife in Dayz but If it was going to be done I think it would have to be done right and not like other games like farcry3 and red deadredemption and get the poor result of animals just mindlessly attacking you. Instead I would suggest a AI that will make the animal actually survive so it would have to eat drink piss and shit like the player will in standalone and able to get injured and diseases. How this system would come into play would be say a well fed bear sees you from a far distance it will most likely leave you alone but what if a starving bear sees you it would have a high chance of charging at you and trying to kill and eat you. I think a system like that for all wildlife would be excellent for Dayz as it adds some challenge and more decision making when engaging wildlife.

I cant understand how dayz and that bag of shit warz call themselves a mmo when there player cap is lower then like bf3 on pc and mount n blade. What I think a real mmo are games like wow runescape guildwars2 elder scrolls online etc with a huge map and player cap that higher then 300 atleast. -

Hi just recently started playing this game called The Hunter and it is by far the best hunting experience I've had out of any game just think it would be awesome if Dayz did this style hunting and not the crap from Red dead redemption and Farcry3. M8 if you real like suggesting stuff on the forums about hunting I suggest you watch Yukon men for inspiration it has the worst animal cruelty I've ever saw in a TV show and all they do is hunt with traps and guns and hit wolverines on the head with logs or strangle lynx's with a snare on a stick. But something that's cruel in real life is fun on a game, but these Yukon men do this for food not for sport or they starve and will have to eat there sled team(dogs) so that slightly justifies it but there just a bunch of freaks living like that when they could live a animal killing free life if they choose. I doubt the game devs give a shit about suggestion to be fair, its just a job for them to make a decent game that isn't a bag of wank. Were most of us are passionate nutjobs the suggest crazy shit that we think would be amazing in the game like. I suggested something about animals when I thought it was a amazing idea but my god that will never happen in a million years looking back at it lol. -

This sounds random but this style of hunting would fit Dayz like a jigsaw you can track poo on thehunter2013 and there's gona be poo in Dayz so you can track animals and humans =D -
The double barrel shotgun damage is a joke! its far too low and hardly any range which is bull shit. People think shotguns have no effective range just because how it's portrayed in cod and other arcade shooters >:(

OK the idea of this is on the eyes people who don't care about animals/wildlife might just see a bear and shoot the thing to death like you would in any other game wich is fine. But if you go in depth there's more details and features can get used out of the animals if a player desires like how to handle situations with animals without your gun then you can. You say most people don't know anything about the plants and well that's true but if they don't know anything about like correct plants to use for medicine then they shouldn't do it or the can explore it and learn themselves by in game or reading online. Also it wouldn't be a feature that people are forced to learn to survive on its just a small benefit. What i suggesting is benefits like rocket said if you know how to read stars in real life then you can read the stars in dayz for directions, that's the whole idea of this suggestion if you know how to deal with wildlife and know how to survive on it in real life then you should be able to in dayz if you want and gain benifts from it like the star reading.

Advance controls never seen in a game to chamber any amounts of rounds in a revloer spin cylinder for how long you want then aim at your head and pull the trigger and the ability to pass the gun to your friend in animation style like how npcs give you stuff in other games. The russian roulette scenario is a taste of what higly advanced wepon controls wich would fit in dayz with included features in SA weapon cleaning and degradation zeroing select fire system on items. Also haveing that much control over your character includes some serious immersion.
