There under powered imo u cant sprint and punch which is stupid I tried to kill this bandit who had a m4 I chased him for 3 mins and since he was sprinting in circles stopping to pop shots off I couldn't hit him which would have been a different story with the axe atleast u can sprint and swing with the axe but not your fists wtf!

How about then we have chernarus moose, bears, wolfs and tigers makes sense since its fictional so make a new sub species and just not go to mad and have chernarus giraffe just use what animals that live in europe and Russia then I think its authentic.

Moose would be a good idea for a lethal animal. For what species that ivan buchta guy can figure it out I really don't know were to pin point chernarus geographically

A zoo is another plausible excuse as well but cherno is a shit hole so I doubt that would have zoos or any tourist attractions. I believe the tiger doesn't need that excuse to be in the game considering the map is fictional tigers could be native there since the country is next to Russia or maybe the whole world is infected and animals flourished with the death of man and spread since what threat is a infected in dayz to most animals really a human that windmills which is slow and dumb and cant infect anything else that's all what they are.

Yes its stupid that u need a friend to do it if its perfectly possible to do it yourself then there no reason to remove that feature from a survival game!

Npc humans don't belong in Dayz imo the trade post should be your self and a group of m8s trading with people and yeah you might get shot and all your stuff robbed but that's realistic you got to make the choices to keep yourself safe and your goods safe.

I agree with Kenny kyle its more of the challenge because a bear or wolf isn't going to offer you the same challenge as a tiger and I think its plausible to have tiger in a country next to Russia were zombies exist and the country is fictional which makes it more acceptable to me. Gews has a good point as well but from what I have seen from his posts he likes to keep stuff very realistic and if it was up to him doubt there wouldn't be any western gear on the map but he's not the only 1 ofc.

Amur tiger wouldn't be a bad idea since chernarus is a fictional country next to Russia and who doesn't like tigers =P

Best advice I can give to a new player is be paranoid! For example when u loot a barracks and other military buildings always shut the door behind when your inside and when your done and make it look like you was never there. It saved my life today when I was in green jail building at a military base trying on gas masks I heard a players foot steps inside the building so I camped my ass off prone aiming at the door I shut to the room I was in then as soon as he opened BAM BAM BAM! I riddled him with like 17 bullets lol and he hit me with 1 but I watched Merino DayZ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GwNgTnj9hBE and learnt to stuff my fat face with loads of food and water and had healthy status on my character so my blood and colour regenerated to full in like 5 minutes and I haven't had a hunger or thirst message for 5 hours lol. So shut doors and be a fat shit and you will be fine!

if u alt and tab out and use this link http://dayzdb.com/map/chernarusplus#2.108.141 u don't even need a in game map and this 1 shows taps were to find loot etc. And the only melee weapon that one hits zombies is a fire axe but if u cant find a fire axe use a splinter axe since it kills zombies in like 2-3 hits the other melee weapons are so weak so always look for axes =D

Chernarus is a fictional country based off parts of the Czech Republic, using real-world data. And im not going to use a fictional country as a source why there isn't any mountain lions in dayz lol...
