Well back in 2012 there was a version of dayZ mod where it was almost impossible to loot towns lol. I remember it well. Every village was literally infested with zombies, places like Cherno were totally inaccessible. They nerfed it a few days later because practically everyone was dead or without ammo. There was also a version where zed infection of some sort was really easy to get. Entire groups of people died out. And stuff was lost :D

lol sure stuff is always good but when you have a little or no ammo because zeds were after you and half of your elite pvp group has been eaten by zeds as well, and towns won't be just a wallmart with M4's and ammo it will be very different, trust me bro :D

Well I played original dayZ mod and I thought it has always been about surviving and not getting eaten by zombies. Funny how dayZ evolved lol, now it's seen as a PVP game in an open world by many...hope that will change and dayZ will be again what it was supposed to be :)

Lol, yeah of course, whatever makes you happy mate. I'm one of these people who don't give a damn what kind of weapon they have. As long as it shoots I'm fine. I just hope they will add as many zombies as possible, hordes of them....and I hope they will be drawn to sound...and make Pvpers lives very unhappy :)

It's gonna a hell of a game. I can't wait! I've put about 70 hours into dayZ standalone but I find it really meaningless now...it's like a deathmatch in a really large world..but with zombies....teaming up with people will actually be better than killing them for loot...dayZ will be a truly different game....damn I can't wait!!! Hope it happens one day.

Umm, I've been pretty busy, you know..part time job and all..well I guess you don't. You strike me as a typical no life douchebag And no, I don't have dayZ installed at the moment, not even steam.

Are zombies better? Does loot respawn?

Hey. Anyone else thinks there's WAY too many military spawns in dayZ standalone? Barracks here, barracks there, barracks everywhere! Even the coast is full of military spawns. Is it rocket's goal to have everyone running around with assault rifles? Seems kinda weird to me. I don't like it this way. Imo military grade weapons should be rare and pretty much almost everyone should be running around with civilian weapons, not the other way around.

The playerbase of this mod isn't as geat as it was, we all know that. People are scattered all over the place and it's pretty hard to find a full server. I think if the official server was created, by dayZ development team or whatever, it would be constantly full. Maybe even two or three servers. Ya know, an announcement could be made, rocket or someone from the team could show on the server once in a while, some community events could be made or, whatever. I think it would be great, and it would work! :D

Hmm I've visited their website and all of their servers except one are australian, one is american, and right now they look pretty much empty to me, but we'll see :D

Sup, I've started playing dayZ again and I'm wondering if it's still alive. Can you guys to suggest me some good servers, with a lot of people playing, preferably EU time? Doesn't matter if its private hive or vanilla, just something. Thanks!

Well I'm from central Europe so I suppose Americans usually don't play when I play unfortunately...

Sup, I've thought about playing dayz again, but most of the public servers are usually dead. So I'm asking you guys, what are your fav servers? Doesn't matter if its private hive, but I'm just wondering if there are any high populated servers left.

This is not a rant thread. I've been playing dayz mod since 1.4 I think, spent more than 1k hours playing it. I don't want to criticize or something, but it seems to me that the original dayZ mod is not as expected as it used to be. We all have seen DAYZ at E3. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. It's just that excitement is fading away. We've been waiting for the standalone for a long time and sadly, a lot of people, well at least a lot of people I know, have stopped being excited about it and now they're just meh, dayZ was fun, but I've got another games to play now.. Even If standalone gets released, I dont think it's gonna be a big improvement compared to dayZ, at least not for a long time until they gonna add more stuff. Might take months, years.. Rocket has lost my support. I'm not looking forward to releasing standalone as much as months ago, most of the people I know don't. On the other hard, dayZ origins rocks, it's much better than dayZ in my opinion, and it's gonna be better than dayZ standalone imo as well. Well, just my opinion guys!
