I hadn't read your post yet and just put up a thread on a very similar encounter on exp. tonight.. Why are people just blind and deaf on experimental servers? I mean its still Dayz. Not added. minor patch with zero new inventory content

So most of you know that Chernarus is based off of a real life location in the Czech Republic. Some of you may also know about the history of Arma 2 stating that Chernarus is a fictional location, and exactly where that fictional place is on the map. Much conversation has been had on this subject. Whether the map designers focused more on this fictional location or whether the focus is on the Czech Republic real life locale. We all know this real life location can be found on google maps, and the Chernarus layout matches almost exactly... But some of you may not know about an easter egg in game, near Lopatino, that shows a street sign stating: "Moscow - 2,172km -->". I recently found this website that discusses the easter egg and they found the distance to place Chernarus exactly in the Czech Republic, and precisely the same distance and direction as found in the easter egg. http://insidedayz.de/2172-kilometers-to-moscow/ So it looks like the map designers intended to let us all know where this place was exactly and hid that info in one nicely tucked away easter egg. :) Enjoy!

Ok, my testing finds: Pro's Performance is amazing.. fluid, smooth, no lag. 40/40 server Zeds are much more difficult to melee kill.. take more damage Mouse movement is fluid and responsive The game seems to look better to me.. ??? Throwing physics works well.. Night cycle is back Footstep sounds seem better in some cases Not once did I rubberband and I sprinted out of each and every building.. would have been RBing about 9/10 times before doing that Con's Day/Night cycle changing every hour Sounds are better in some cases, but not existent in others.. surfaces, player actions, etc. Eating is a bit bugged.. sounds dont play out, animation, etc. when eat all is selected Still have invisible tuna cans in inventory.. minor issue Other notes: Zeds do not seem to spawn off of gunshots, at least away from towns, any longer.. fired 2 shots out in field, zero fucks given FPS seemed slightly lower.. not much, but about 2-4 frames in towns. But the game did look better to me.. not sure why, just me or if it really has improved My coffee got too cold, far too fast. It was too fast, too furious on the cooling down factor. Coffee needs a buff. ;)

Youtube research will show you why you do not want to continue. Windows will not render properly, players, doors, entire buildings.. etc. Anything at great distances is affected. The only way that has changed is if they just hotfixed it for some reason..

For gaming and the industry as a whole, in the short run it was bad. For DayZ, it was good, good, good... money and business. For those of us that have been playing it for months, it was mostly good. The other option would have been a select few would be doing what all of us paid to do.. testing the game. Ive done it in the past, and since by paying Ive already purchased the final game, its a win win for me. If I get bored, or jaded I move on until a new update. I can always wait for beta or final release. But I choose to play it now, as I enjoy it. It reminds me of playing DayZ when it first came out.. bugged and full of things to explore and moan about. ;)

You absolutely do NOT want to set your object settings to anything less than normal. It also does not affect seeing other players easily by turning it down.. FYI. Terrain is what makes it easier to spot people hiding in grass, etc. Object detail determines what shows for you at a distance not including terrain details, so if you turn that below normal players will not show up for you beyond 400m and in some cases much closer.

Ive watched DayZ streamers make $1,000's of dollars in less than an hour with over 5,000 viewers. Ive seen "low-level", new streamers make $100 in 30 minutes with only 6 viewers. All off of donations. Its absolute madness, and I want in! LOL :D

With the new tent loot spawns back, I literally find them every time I play almost. Very often now. The only scope that is not easy to find for me is the ACOG, and that is still fairly easy these days.

I would love to see the return of the "Gunbag" from the mods.. ..does not fit anything other than weapons and fits about 2-3 of them tops.

I think its ridiculous that BIS is using Redditt to communicate more than their own website, for an early release alpha. Do you know why they are doing this? Because it makes more sense to MARKET your game, than it does to properly communicate with the player base.

Has anyone else noticed this happening when eating foods: upon consuming an edible (solid food) your hydration status goes up or down? I noticed my status go green or bright green before when eating, but did not put too much thought to my levels going up. To me it made sense that some foods would be high in liquid content. But after eating some rice I noticed my meter dropped significantly. I did some testing and found that it did in fact bring my hydration levels down. So Im wondering if anyone else has seen this and if so what have you noticed with each food? Maybe use the template below and fill in your own experiences. Hydrate: Canned Peaches Fresh Fruit/Veg. Dehydrate: Rice Cereal
