So uh.. where do these illustrious devices seem to spawn at? Im having a run of bad luck finding one so far

See, that was perfect and what I would have preferred to have happened in the least: communication. If you play DayZ and cant even get that part right, its not going to end well for you.

Im at full attention right now, if you know what I mean.

That would be nice to have a telescope.. little one, like a spyglass. I like variation in this game. Like you may want certain things to fit your style of playing, or you may want to always look for that "upgrade" say from a compass to a gps, etc.. Btw, with the stuff already leaked that they are working on that I have seen recently I am quite excited about where they are taking this game. NVG, GPS, 75rd. AKM drum magazine, etc.. once they have hit beta and the content is in, this game will be amazing. Maybe better than the mods ever were.

I put on some boots yesterday and my leg.. well it had a boot attached to it, and a stump of a bone sticking out with no foot. I think I took a photo.. let me see edit: damn, nope.. no pic

its funny how you point out someone else missing the point.. :facepalm: I made a nice choice by not shooting the player on sight. I spoke to him, foolish as you call it though you fail to recognize the simple and glaring fact that it was night and I had the upper hand in every way shape and form, because it was an experimental server and I wanted to talk to him to perhaps make a friend or in the least learn where he had been so I did not retrace his steps in looting. It was my intention to interact with him, not shoot him. That was not a foolish choice on my part because I am quite experienced with this game, gaming in general and the tactics of combat from my real life training and I know how to protect myself in risky situations. I was in good cover and any advances on my position would have been met with hostile action. When I allowed him to "see me" by being out in his open view that was my last straw, to give him a chance to do something as at the point it had been a full 10 minutes of my trying to communicate and regardless if he spoke english or not he had to of known that someone was trying to talk to him, and if he was so oblivious as to not take notice after 10 minutes in a high PVP area with his headlamp on at night... well then I can only hope he learned his lesson. I really don't get the need for negative judgement from others based on my actions? Its not like I killed a bambi. This was at the infamous NWAF. It would have been wrong for me to just let him go after all of that, because then he leaves the area thinking its safe to loot on a full server and him doing so and surviving is a typical thing to expect in DayZ. I mean this guy had all the tools a bandit uses for killing. He was not taking the route of survivalist here. He was gearing up and looting with the focus of weapons, that much was clear. I feel no ill in what I did, and really do not see how others would unless its their own pent up aggression towards their own in game losses. This game needs a high level of fear otherwise it is just an easy survival sim and people will grow bored of it. I hope to do my small part in helping this game be what it always has been since the day I started playing it back in December of 2012 and ever since the mod dropped way back in April of the same year: Great.

Its actually how I played in the mods, and in the SA over the past year and half. Im not saying Im good or anything, but I have been quite successful in attacking large groups, evading an ambush, surviving being shot, etc.. I dont think its worth playing DayZ if you're not willing to take risks in the game. Its what makes it so great, stepping out on a limb and risking a quick trip to the coast. Im looking quite forward to my new task. See I cant just shoot anything that moves. I have to then immediately hide their body to stop the spread of infection. ;) This will make things VERY INTERESTING for me indeed.

Exactly.. Since I've had time to ponder the general response to my being an "honorable KOSer", I have come to the conclusion that this game needs something.. Chernarus Eradication Force - All survivors are seen as a threat to outside humanity and must be terminated. Blood testing is too risky. All threats must be dealt with swiftly, and their bodies disposed of ASAP (hide body). This is my new RP idea for DayZ, and those of you that fussed over my other idea of being an honorable KOSer helped me get there. So thank you. I shall be killing everything that moves now. :murder:

Nice! I just found an engraved 1911.. I bet they adjusted some loot spawns whilst adding in a few things like the Crossbow, as the spawns seem different in some cases

That reeks far more of a game bug, alpha, experimental server, desync, etc.. then it does of hacker. People exclaim hacker far too often, and have little understanding of exactly just why no one would care that you saw a hacker even if you did.. it happens. People do work to stop it. We all deal with it when we have to.

I speak with the intention of letting them know my presence and what I plan to do. In most cases I say "hi, Im going to kill you okay? Get ready to defend yourself." Because while I like PVP, its not PVP if you just shoot the guy in the back of the head. That's simply e-murder. So all of you getting upset over someone killing another player in a game rife with death and PVP, and that player ACTUALLY gave the guy a fighting chance, I have this to say to you: You're funny. :P

It not cool to shoot someone in a game? Why not. :| NWAF. Threat or not, you just do not waltz around the airfield ignoring other players and using your headlamp with your M4 drawn... ..and walk away alive. You just dont.

I just found an engraved 1911.. white pearl handle grips. Im enamored to say the least. It sits in between my kitted .45 and my Amphibia. 3 mags for each pistol. I like me some back-up.

It probably had been for NotAGirl.. judging by the loot and overall items Im sure he had been alive for quite a while. A nice life indeed... the coast shall treat him well. :) Oh! You were trying to be coy?.. lol

I read that too.. and for now it just makes things "fun". Ive knocked out so many Zeds, and just run away. Its my new fav if Im on the move.. knock em down, run to the next. :P
