You lose gear if you server hop too often. Stop server hopping and the gear wont get lost.

My these people of Chernarus have great posture. :huh: Why is it even the Zombies stand fully erect at all times? Can we get some hunched over, mangled looking Zombies? Something that doesn't look like an army of robot clones, turned infected Zombies, are running loose. I want to have the crawlers back, the hoppers.. I'd love to see like a "hobbler" (zed that can only limp around), sprinters (they only run full speed, from 0-16mph in zero seconds), "Doormats" (cannot move and spawn on ground as legless torso's), and creepers (slow, silent zeds that make no noise until they swing for the attack). Its a little unimmersive for me to look at Zeds and they all look the same, and walk the same, and talk the same.. and all of them are looking mighty healthy except for their skin. ;)

Is this just me, or have others seen this bug? You try taking out your pistol while prone and its useless in your hands.. animation is like your fists are up with a pistol glued to your fingers. If you swap with any weapon, and get out of prone your pistol works fine. If you do not swap weapons, standing and crouching does nothing to fix the issue. This makes having a pistol useless if you pull it out while prone. Utterly useless. I can repeat it and it appeared that my friend had the same issue, but I do not see a bug report and cannot even log in for some reason to make my own. Has anyone else seen this at all?

So.. having felt the heat myself and seen red hot and then white hot barrels in my time in service, I felt like DayZ and the Arma series would really do great with a overheating barrel feature. It could go shallow in execution or have great depth, but the overall premise is simple: If you fire your weapon for too long, continuously.. it may overheat the barrel. The consequences and balances could vary. It could cause accuracy loss, inability to hold weapon for long periods of time or at all if non-gloved/no front grip. You could drop or dip your weapon in a pond/lake/ocean/pee on it/canteen water to cool it, with risk of rust damage if not cleaned. The artwork could cause the weapon to glow red and white hot, showing degree of heat, also showing up at night. It could damage your weapon to the point of ruined if not treated or if fire is not ceased soon enough. This could all be affected at high round counts, like 200-300+ or perhaps lower at around 50-100 cartridges fired. This could tie in with the cleaning kit, and would be a necessary thing to watch for in long gunfights. Would give deeper meaning to having a sidearm/secondary.. rifle overheats, that is your only backup besides melee. Most people do not fire their weapon that often, continuously in this game, so for the masses this would not be an issue other than the rare standoffs. But this would be a problem for those who are engaging in high amounts of gunfire over short amounts of time. In theory, a deterrent to those who choose to kill every new spawn they see in a town full of new spawns. What do you think of overheating barrels, and if you like the idea how would you like it implemented? Discuss.

Yes, confirmed. I killed a guy in pitch black the other night and the 3 shots I took each lit up the hanger we were in similar to a flashlight.

It depends on hives and how they implement it. If we have separate hives, then each server is a new character/gear/etc.. If there are some separate hives, and some joined hives then you have persistent containers that apply for only that server, but your character can swap in between the joined hives and still have his same gear on his person. That help?
