You're still not being clear to me.. are you only speaking of in game or in real life also? If you're only speaking of in game, you're correct. None of the masks were designed initially with a helmet or hat in mind. So now, none of them work with helmets/headgear as that was patched. This thread is months old in case you missed that. Someone necro'd the hell out of it for some unknown reason? So your clarifying things, and reiterating what the devs already posted about the patch and reasons why was confusing to say the least. I thought all along that you meant in real life, since the other option seemed less plausible.

Yes, the 3rd example is the mask in game. And I gathered your point was that you cannot use full faced gas masks with a ballistic helmet? Was I assuming too much in thinking you meant IRL... not just in-game? It seemed like that was your main point. If I am incorrect my apologies. :) Also that last example: the dude is really close to shooting his buddies foot off.. I really hope his trigger discipline is spot on. ;)

I believe there already is an easter egg in the SA that is hinting at a map addition down the road.. (possibly) it would make sense for the map designers to have something to work on once Chernarus is finished and at that point it would also be much easier to design a new map I would think.. not easy, but easier. Sahrani. But this would be a separate map and not connected to Chernarus. More than likely it would be DLC also.

Yeah, I know a few that play with their wives.. my wife plays a ton of games with me, but DayZ is just too much for her. Its sort of the most hardcore game a girl, donkey, wizard or anyone for that matter could play.

Hunting, Base Building, Persistent Containers, Farming (if thats added in), Stary/Novy, to get away from PvP, etc.. Im not saying they will add in full circle style respawns.. but if you played the mod, in the last patches before the EA Alpha was released they added in the ability to choose your spawn point. This included Cherno, Elektro, Berezino, Kamenka, Balota, random Chernarus, or 1 other.. cant remember). They could easily bring this back for the SA.. with new choices. Or a the old style of South and SE coast spawns. Or we could just always have an East Coast spawn thing now. I hope they get the point though that the spawn system now is not what people prefer. Recent polls have shown that 90% of the community wants them spread out, rather than all in the NE quadrant. So I hope that they at least understand that this fix is only temporary.. and they must do something about the spawns before any final release builds get tested. I hope. ..and I have faith. Seriously people. Go buy the Arma 2 pack with Operation Arrowhead. Go play the DayZ mod.. the official mod that has the hunting, fishing, base building, working crossbows and cooking, etc.. everything that this SA lacks currently is in there. Go play it. Play it your way. And come back and tell us what you think. Its honestly the future of the SA.. the essence of what is there. Go give it a try. ;)

You are spot on Jigsaw.. they are eventually going to make a full circle style map with spawning on the outer edges.. you can already see this in their map design. Eventually we will spawn somewhere on the edge of the map.. coast, NW, NE.. East.. West.. it appears they plan on a full circle style spawn system and to be honest.. only the middle would have a chance of being empty if they do implement that. It would be epic genius imo.

Whats all this banned stuff? lol ..and yes, at one point after they made the Mosin rare and the LRS was still rare.. I coveted the hell out of my Camo Mosin with both scopes, comp. and bipod all pristine with over 300 rounds on me.. After a while I got sick of who I had become and gave it all away and commited suicide by approaching a bandit gang of kids and flipping them off after talking shit to them.. it was a predictable headshot to say the least. And I felt so much better after I gave my gear away (community event posted online the giveaway.. just laid it all on the floor in the NWAF tent city and let people fight over full pristine gear.), it was like a weight was lifted off of me. So far its still one of only 2 deaths I have ever been dealt... dying on purpose with that character. I highly recommend you do the same Rick.. Run to a city, find a noob.. give him everything. Then go jump off a building or run through the streets naked shouting "YOUR MOTHER IS AN ANIMAL YOU SON OF A B*$#%!" ala Raging Bull, Bob DeNiro.

Meta.. you are grossly incorrect. An artist is only an artist, and only will work on artwork like drawing out an AKM. Then the people who do the actual programming add it in. There is an entire team working on the game, and since you cannot seem to fathom or handle the concept that this game is in early development I would suggest you find something more productive to do with your time rather than posting how much you dont like the way things are going. Its a waste of your time to keep complaining. Move on.

Yeah, Ive found several posts on Reddit all claiming with images that they found the AKM on experimental... so it looks like its in there now, unless these people are some really good trolls.

In-game..for longer than 1 gaming session? As in several days, weeks, months? Im wondering if anyone out there has taken their shoes, boots off and just went barefoot, how long they survived for and if there were any ill effects or things noticed like fall damage, etc.? Im thinking of ditching my boots. Agreed on all of it.. I think they should just take the C-130.. and have it so its crashed through the tent city and into the barracks area at Balota, wiping all of them out. Have maybe 2 tents left standing, no barracks and just the jails/ATC/hangers and a huge debris field with a crashed C-130 amongst a mass of debris from the barracks. Or just scrap their original damn idea and make Balota a small airport with 2 hangers, 1 ATC and nothing else. At all.

I dont usually roll with the Ghillie suit, but for old times sake and since I found it on the poor guy I figured I'd take it. ;) You always have to be careful, a ghillie means nothing if they see you. But it just did not work, because he never even noticed I was there. Experimental server US-03.. Im at the NWAF, its night and pitch black.. Im waiting out the darkness and eating some food. I see a spotlight of someone working the tents so I stumble my way there to say hi. So I wait a moment, I can see the guy knows what he is doing and is armed. But I do my usual and say, "Well hello there!" over my mic.. he stops for a second. Then moves on. So I type in sidechat.. "Boo!" Nothing. Not a single fuck given. Im like 20 feet away. About 1 tent at the most. I talk over mic again. He works some tents, still looting. So I move towards a tent he is bound to loot soon. Eventually he does.. as he enters the tent he looks right at me, but his spotlight spins quickly away and I doubt he sees me even though Im about 10 feet in front of him. He is focused on loot and nothing else. So I lock and load. Double tap to the head. Profit sawed-off and other odds and ends. Thank you "NotAGirl". Im sorry you were so focused that you did not hear me, see me, nor did you notice sidechat text that stayed up for 20 seconds on your screen. I would have probably just chatted with you had you responded in any way. But in DayZ my motto is: Dead Men Don't Talk. ;) HE DID NOT IGNORE ME... that idea is implausible.

Try this.. its silly but give it a go. Open dayz. Click change server. Hit refresh after 3 seconds. Now look for lowest ping server you can find. Test. Come back to tell us how it went.
