Oddly enough I had a crash last night, first in a long time that actually reset my PC display settings. It changed it from 1080p down to 1360x768. I caught it right away as it was obvious, but had I not it would have been hell trying to get my DayZ video setting straightened out if my PC wasnt even displaying at 1920x1080. So just in case, maybe check your PC Nvidia control panel and the Windows resolution display to see if they are set properly. Hope that helps anyone who may come across this same issue..

I have an M4 on both my stable characters. I have many 60rd. mags for each. I have not died since probably March or earlier.. I never exploit. Not even hopping. DO NOT SHOOT EVERYONE YOU SEE WITH AN M4.

I like the idea of useless items or near useless.. shoes for example would be easy for most anyone to leave behind to warn others.. The note is bad IMO, it requires more time and effort involved, and worse opens doors to abuse the tactic. An item in the road can be spotted from a distance and is in no way exploitable by those that it would warn against.. ..unless they go around and pick them up.. but then they have to expose themselves. ;) See the beauty in its simplicity?

Direct chat = 1 channel Teamspeak = unlimited channels (almost, lol). I can split people into groups, they can join in and out of the main group.. the quiz can be held on its on channel, etc.. FYI ;) The QUIZ is ALL dayz related in various ways. Some on the forum, some on the game, some on the creator. ;) Nice on the flares.. we will need it if night starts to fall. Not to mention how cool it would be to see what 20-30 people setting out to light up an entire town looks like once finished :D

Ok.. I guess either I am totally wrong or ...? In my experience the SKS will load 10 cartridges by default. You cannot hit reload if this is done, and you do not have a clip to reload with. So any reloads must be done manually by opening your inventory and dragging rounds to your SKS. If you have a stack of 20, or at least 10 rounds and the SKS is EMPTY. Simply drag the stack to the SKS, and you will see either the full 10 insert, or half of the 20 will be used. The clip is only good for fast reloads without the need to open your inventory. Besides that, they are useless to the SKS. :)

It typically has really great damage and accuracy, especially that close.. but it may be that its zeroed for longer distances? Making you have to aim quite low to hit if someone is close to you. I dunno, thats a stretch on my part to figure it out besides desync and lag. I found its range.. need gews to confirm this, but on testing I found that it simply would not put a round past a certain distance.. let me go calculate that distance really quick I believe its around 400m. Can you confirm this Gews? or anyone else?

no problem.. anything I can do to help, just let me know.. Ive got a secure TS as well where I am the moderator (old BMRF.me Teamspeak channel) so I could help manage that part if need be. Also, I have my quiz all set and ready.. plenty of questions, and plenty of good loot to win. People should bring as many lights, flares and lamps as they can.. ;) well light up the town as night falls.

Around 100 hours of gameplay.. zero death, was my longest.

Lag or Desync...

I will be showing up almost fully geared.. M4 unicorn status. I am interested in holding a quiz for my gear, or a contest of sorts like a short race or something.. we will have some fun with this. I want to leave in just my underwear ;) BTW, it would be good to hold the location somewhat near the NE area so anyone spawning in new will be able to get there in a reasonable time.. that and everyone can head to the general area if you at least give us a general location like far middle north, middle of map, far west coast, etc..

Wow.. thats actually very reassuring for the game as a whole. Shows that hit detection is spot on when not hampered by lag or desync.

Experimental Regular servers? If so, I can give you a 30rd mag outright if you want it. Im near Vybor..

So I was thinking after remembering my ankle almost being torn off and how I used my rifle to get back on my feet at the time.. (Its something I rarely think about but recently injured my ankle on the same foot and it brought it back to mind). I thought, that would be a great addition to DayZ. To be able to use your melee or weapon as a crutch if your leg is broken. There would need to be an animation made for the walking and the transition from ground to standing and pulling up the weapon, but the rest should be straightforward (I know I make it sound easy, its not). Right click your weapon when a leg is broke and the option "USE AS CRUTCH" appears. This would damage the weapon after time to some degree, so a trade off would happen but it could be an option that is slightly faster than crawling (which in my opinion is not really a realistic option if your leg is broken, its just not easy to crawl very far with a broken leg).
