Ive played the hell out of the experimental build.. so I have only 2 questions: Is there still a whole hell of a lot of ambient sounds coming up at incorrect times (eating, rounds, zeds, etc.) ? Because this got somewhat worse for me in the exp. build. Have they done anything with the loot respawning? The exp. servers seemed to get really messed up with the loot respawning, and the server restarts.. wondering if this has been fixed in any way. In the exp. build you would find no loot at many places, than at others it would be overflowing.. way out of control. Restarts would bring no new loot at all, and the only loot that would come in would be off of loot respawns.. which was far too easy to farm (exploit) from what I heard.

It looks like about 2+ people on this post are prepared for an actual meet and greet.. ..the rest are just enamored with the idea of "what could" and totally unprepared for the reality of it all. Again, we've done this.. its easy to do with Zero casualties and everyone having fun. If you want a location, do it at Devils Castle. Its a nightmare for anyone to infiltrate head-on if a large group is inside.

So its Halloween.. my plans have changed drastically (wife got sick) so now Im planning on playing some DayZ tonight.. Ive been part of large community events we've put on here at the DayZ forum so I thought why not try to get a quick one together tonight? So, the idea is this.. its Halloween. People are trick or treating IRL so we should do the same in DayZ. Everyone who wants to play, sign up below. We can start this in an hour or so.. and have it go all night so whoever can hop in later can still have some fun. Everyone meet at the main town square in Novo. Right in front of the 12 story tower. Players can make fires, and set up lights for ambiance and dress up in whatever whacky gear they can find so they are in costume. Players who would like to "give away" gear or food can take up spots just inside open doorways on the streets so other players can walk around "trick or treating".. now the real fun comes with knowing that this may not all go smooth as pie and peace may not last long, if at all. Now it may just be a nice cuddle fest.. but it could turn deadly here on all hallows eve.. so come prepared to defend yourself just in case someone wants to spoil the fun for others.. maybe we will even set up little matches if players want to have gunfights. We can do just about anything. So sign up below. Ill edit this post later just below this listing the server we will all play on. This will be on stable servers, 3rd person only.. no hardcore. I read OP and skipped to reply so if this has been brought up.. my bad, I just dont have the time to read it all right now.. There should be a server eventually, and if possible at all, that locks you out for say 24 hours or more when you die. No respawn.. just a death screen and the only way to get right back in would be to have several accounts you paid for.. each whitelisted, etc.. and not worth it to 99% of the player base. Permadeath in a sense, but at least you get to play the game again.. if the server was really good, had a great community, it would make the user want to go back and might work to some degree. Id play it.. sounds fun. Would up the tension quite a bit..

you do realize that you can be moved from locations like this if you ask..? They can help you. FYI. Also, if you look.. the ladder ends half way. Sort of a dead giveaway and not really something that you SHOULD have to warn everyone about.. ;)

I was being quite concise and honest when I said ask for a refund.. The reason is we (my old group) had multiple issues with gameservers.. eventually got a refund and used a different host and all was smooth as silk. So.. I dont know.. can I not speak my mind when it comes to things like that or why was my post hidden (unless you just thought I was being a dick, then I get it..) Im honestly wondering.. not trying to make waves Bones. :)

DayZ and Socom. The only 2 games Ive ever played that genuinely immersed me to the point of damn near heart attack. :D

I made this and still carry it.. I actually at one point put up a reddit post asking for help getting to my extraction point at the top of the tower in Novo.. many showed up and ALL tried to kill me. All failed because I had plenty of back-up with my clan.. but damn it was fun! One day, I hope someone finds it on my body, right next to the syringe filled with blood: "the cure" :)
